keep calling but don't respond when i answer.  i hate computerized calls.

Had a missed call from this number, but no voice mail

The clowns from the Colorado Peace Officers Foundation (basically a group that solicits donations to support the retirement fund for Colorado police officers) have an automated call line they use to make phone calls (mine is EVERY night at 8:30). As soon as you answer, the line goes dead. If you call the number back, there is a recording that indicates THEY KNOW IT IS A DEAD CALL, and then, amazingly, they give you a number to call back if THIS IS BOTHERING YOU! That 800 number is OUT OD SERVICE, naturally. Typical union thugs. They know this is not ethical, but hey, its to solicit money for a union retirement account, so what do they care?

Even though I am registered on the no call list I am still receiving spam calls. Also, this is a new phone number. The spam started just 2 hours after phone was connected. I was told my phone number was sold by Centurylink. Would disconnect, yet need phone for work.

Yea,  I don't know who they are but they are threatening me.  Who are these people.  How can police organizations be allowed to do this.

Just received a call from 720-891-4231 - 8:45pm. The man asked for my fiance who isn't home, I then asked if I could take a message to which he replied, "this is just a thank you call. We'll try back." Please don't.

Sollicitor called at 8:30 pm.

I have been revceiving several calls from this number.  It only reads "local call" but it is actually long distance.  I have an answering machine but they never bother to leave a message.  I don't answer the phone unless I know who is calling.  I have better things to do with my time.

This is B.S., Every other day at the same time, we have asked that they stop calling but they REFUSE.

Get a call each day from this number. No voicemail left. Will know not to talk to them if I happen to see it on caller ID, which says "Unknown name".

I guess the Do Not Call List does not apply?

Even so, they called at 9:00pm... thought all telemarketers had to abide by reasonable times.  These people have called three times so far after we have asked them to poease remove us from their list.

Asked for my wife, refused to identify themselves and hung up.

I've been getting harassing calls on this number since I set the phone line up.  I finally plugged in my fax machine to the line so they can remove me without my intervention.

thanks for the info.  Called the 1-800 number and got our number removed.

I did a reverse call and found out that it was the Colorado Peace Officer Foundation.  They gave a number to call for customer service(1-800-891-2034).  I called this number and there is an option to have your number removed from their calling base.

I donated to the Colorado Vietnam Veteran's and they sold my contact information to every other bogus charity in Colorado... and they all call me now begging for bucks.  I will NEVER donate another dime over the phone.... because now all of these charities call me daily, 7 days a week.  DO NOT DONATE TO THESE RIPOFF ARTISTS.

They call twice a day, everyday! No one ever answers when I say hello. A couple times they asked for my husband and refuse to talk to me. The other day I answered using a manly voice as a test and a man started giving me a sales pitch once he realized I was a woman he hung up. Another time I answered and the person on the other end said "mama" and started laughing and then hung up. I hate these people

Yes, we donated a couple of times and now the calls keep coming.
Ask for my husband by name and say they'll call back later.
Just ask like a friend calling and don't want to tell me who they are.
Once in the past I did ask them to remove our number from their call list,
but the calls have started again.

calls a few times a day and in evening.  From what I have heard it is a canvasing company that is paid to collect money for one of the Colorado Police charities.  I think it might be Colorado Police Protection Association.

I received a call Wednesday evening  soliciting money for a sheriffs fund I think it was. I hung up after about twenty seconds. Last night at 9:00 PM the same jek called abck-waited until I said hello, then laughed-"Ha-Ha-Ha" and hung up.

Likely a company called Xentel, pushing a scam on behalf of the Colorado Fraternal Order of Police (Xentel keeps up to 90% of the money.

Two solutions:
a) email the Fraternal Order: you will never donate as long as you are being harassed by Xentel

I have already spoke to them, and I told them that I didn't have money to contribute.  They still call me morning, night and several times a day.  I would love for these calls to stop.

I gave money to one or two "charities" and now I get numbers of calls daily from several others.  Some I have answered and told NO, but others I leave alone.  Does anyone know where you can get your name removed from such lists?

Yeah they started calling again after about being told not to 6 months ago.
I don't need this sort of crap, I feel this is harrassment - what ever happened to NO means NO.

They are representing themselves as selling tickets for the Colorado Policeman's Ball. Whether this is true or not, as the police know not to call, in this state at 8:15 a.m. Either way, I turned them down and ran a call trace on them by dialing *57 after the phone call.
