Never, and I mean never giver any information to anyone of these numbers that you do not recognize. If they are who they say they are, then they already have your personal information. John is correct. If it is a collection company or you are being sued, then you will get a letter in the mail where you will need to call them or reply by mail and confirm you received the notification. They are scammers trying to get your personal information and use it to hack into any or all of your accounts. They know we all use common information as our sign-on's and/or passwords..................

I received the same phone call, and I know for a fact that collection companies send out first class mail BEFORE they start calling you! Secondly, all the heavily accented (Indian?) person would say was that he was calling from a "law office", with no i.d. of any kind, and did not identify the name of the loan company supposedly suing me. I was told a year ago by a legitimate loan company in Miami that we should report the number to Homeland Security, as well as the U.S. Post Office inspectors, since the internet is under their jurisdiction. Good luck!!
