Ya, I got the exact same text twice, except one he offered me $700 over my asking price, and the other one $800 over my asking price, but they were two different #'s - 570-203-0104 & 760-814-9208. I told the con to get lost!

Got the same message yesterday, $800 over the asking price.  Phone number was 760-428-0456, but gmail account the same: collinssmith1.

I guess Canada is on the radar for this scammer.

My ad was on the Saskatchewan Kijiji site.

Same. Got a text from colinssmith1@gmail.com saying  "Hi, I saw ur add. I'm ready to ofer u an aditional $800 to ur asking price on the add.pls Email me only ASAP now to colinssmith@gmail.com." Although the phone number was 760-283-7450.

Got a text from "Colins" as well. Offered me 800$ over asking price. Sent him the link to this page and called his attempt at a scam "sloppy"

Also received text from Colinssmith1@gmail.com, offering $800 over asking price for car.  Definitely a scam!

Got the same message from 909-281-1521.  Area code is somewhere in California.  I am from Canada.

I have repeadetly told them to go away, not very nicely, they have several numbers, and email addresses, i reply to every number. They will not stop.

Here is the scam that I believe that he would be trying - People have told me that they say that they have paid but the money is not actually in your Pay pal account - After I ignored his emails this was his last one:

"I Just want to let you know this quick that i was just about to make the payment right now when the pick up agent inform me that i will have to pay for the freight fee also before they can be able add me to there schedule and pick up time with you and they are charging $600 for the pick up and delivery to Ontario and they said the payment must be sent only to their Co-Operate International Headquarter in United State and the payment must be made to them through Western Union or Money Gram  money transfer.

And due to the fact that i can only make this Payment only via PayPal  i will add the $600 and the 2.4% that PayPal is charging you to the money am sending to you through PayPal and immediately i make the payment to you, I will contact you and please i will need you to help me send the money to my pick up agent's Hq in United State through western union money transfer after i have sent you the full payment. I would have done it myself but I can't send money through that means due to my present location. I'm a little incapacitated but I'll appreciate your help here as soon as i make the Payment to you .

Please respond a.s.a.p. so that I can proceed in making all the payment to you now

He offered me the same - asking me to supply him with a Pay pal account
Said he was out of the country and wanted to have the car shipped to his parents in Ontario.
Scam insisted that he pay via Pay Pal

I just received the same message from this guy offering me $700 more then my asking price...the text came in from the same number and 4:30am which caught me as strange. Telling me that he would have a buying agent in contact with me to pick up the vehicle....ignoring him now...SCAM!!

Got one too...I'm ignoring it.  Too good to be true.

I live in BC Canada he seems to live in Pennsylvania - Kinda far away to be looking for a used car??  Painful!
The English is not very good - yet his name seems to be Collins Smith (signed off on text as Collins) ?
