I have been receiving these calls. They began yesterday in which they claimed to be attorneys and after they read some paper to me...in which the person was very very rude before doing so....the preceded to ask me three questions about fraud and stuff. This person claimed that I had 7 outstanding payday loans and with attorney fees and everything else combined...if I didn't pay them that is.....was in the ball park of $5000.00. I am so glad that I found this website and the information that was given previously is very helpful. I have already contacted my bank and next is the credit bureaus.

this person name george called me about payday loans. he claims that hes from federal state attorney office in PA. this is a scam. Im reporting them to the federal international

I have been receiving harrasing calls  from 724-492-8217 &916-395-0000 claiming that i took out a payday loan & they were filing criminal charges against me & they were going to go into my bank account. I don't know how they got some of my info, but I am calling the federal credit bureau! I have called my bank & they said there was no deposit loan every made in my account. This is a scam

He started calling me yesterday. He called me today again.  He definitely has the same indian accent and very rude. He asked me to give him my credit card # to pay for a debt that i owe which he can't give me who the creditor is. He also told me if i don't pay the amount i owe which is $899.90 i will end up paying over $4,000! He threatened to have the sheriff come to my job to serve me tomorrow. I told him i dont know anybody transferring money into my account. He said i needed to pay something today if not all of it and if i couldn't he will have to file a report for a warrant. i then typed in that number and oh my GOd everything that he talked about and more has been demonstrated here. I hope nobody becomes a victim. I was so worried and scared. Thanks for coming together to report these scammers.....

This number 724 492 8217 called my job this morning saying it was legal matters. When i got the msg from another worker they called i had returned the call. The man was of indian decent ans was incredibly rude saying i needed a lawyer because i had gotten a payday loan and not paid it back ( i never got a approved for it) so i would be served with papers and have to go to court. He basicly repeated everything that ive read on here to people over and over again.

Its scary that they have my ss#, my email,my bankning info wich thankfully is just a walmart card, and my job information.

I had the same issue, I had $30 withdrawn for a "payday protection service", which I contact and was told I would be getting a refund....10 days ago. Than yeserday started getting these calls on my work issued cell phone, so I think the 2 may be related to each other. I am going to change my banking info ASAP.

I have been receiving these calls too for the past two days and I also noticed funds being with drawn from my account for a payday loan protection thing which I never agreed to. I have no payday loans and nothing so I wonder if the two are related.

I have just encountered these phone calls from the 724-492-8217.  They have called threatening  my financial, my physical address, etc.  At this point I called my bank and they have no record of any monies deposited into my account nor withdrawn.  The gentlemen is of ethnic origin and very abusive with my personal securities.  I was told that I would be served 0papers to my references,job, and other places that they have obtained info on.  They also would not give the supposed ACH  depositors name or there own physical address.
Thanks for this site for letting feel a little relaxed that this is a fraud.

They tried to tell me I had to appear in court about a payday loan I got online. Which I never had.. I filed a report today with the local FBI and It is being handled. If they take money from your account you can press charges on them. I cant give them what I dont have and what they never gave me. Screw them and report them..

Thank you so much for all of that information. I read most of it. It seems pretty factual and reliable. I'll go to my bank and try to change my account if I have to. If they didn't do anything to your account and information, other than harrassing and threatening you, then I have hope that the same will happen to me, more or less. This is a crazy, sadistic, virulent world we live in.

I received the same thing!!! I got a call from 0000. They said that they were going to send an affidavit to my house and job. I don't even know these people!! I'm glad I'm not the only one. They're talking about i need to go to court!!

Same thing.  I tried to pull information from them and they became belligerent.

Get several messages telling me to call them, or their LAwyer will be in touch. I ahve no idea who they are. It shows up on my phone id as 0000
