VERIZON CALL CENTER AT CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA. CALL THIS NUMBER FOR VERIZON CUSTOMER SERVICE OTHER THAN 800-922-0204 and STAR 611.

My daughter received 3 calls ...the first of which she thought was her coach calling her. They were abusive and vile in nature. She phoned her coach right away to let him know. So this is spoofing and we would like to get the actual callers number. Is there any way? Can someone please help? This is the last straw with this bullies and we want a resolution. If someone could help, that would be so awesome.

Not sure how everyone know who it was and what was said.  When I get a call from a number I don't recognize or have in my address book, I DON"T ANSWER IT!!!!!  If it is importanat, they'll leave a message, and then 'I' can decide if it is worth calling.  Most time, these sales calls don't leave a message.

Verified through Verizon Wireless that the package I ordered from this number was coming, and they told me exactly what I ordered, and when it was supposed to be arriving.Not a Scam 5-10-10

actually VZW has a large call center in cran twshp in PA. it's legit. i used to work there : )

Asked for someone who the phone does not belong to and then hung up on me when I said I was him.

They keep calling from this number and hanging-up without a message.   Scam of some kind.   Can the phone company cut / dissolve their number I wonder?

I just call the Verizon Wireless customer svc number off my bill and they verified that this number is legit. It's a recorded message that promotes home phone connection to Verizon. The man said it'll keep calling 'cause it's automatically programmed to call til someone answer. Mine doesn't even leave any messages on my machine. Annoying.

Keep getting calls from this number and they either hang up right away or ask for someone not here and then hang up

shows up as Verizon Wireless caller.. when I answered the woman asked for me by my first name, I said "speaking" and she then hung up on me... hmmm  A legitimate company rep would not call from a verizon cell but from a business phone.  And a legitimate phone rep knows how to use a phone without hanging up on someone.

Got this call to my home phone, no voice mail was recorded.

I received two missed calls from 724-742-4342 because I don't answer unknown numbers.  I googled this number and it said it was from New Castle, PA.  I also called Verizon Wireless to see if this number was legit.  They didn't think it was.  They put a block on my phone for this number.  She said if I get another call from this same number then it really is Verizon.
The block lasts for 3 months and it is free.

it's not a "scam" so to speak, but it is not Verizon directly.   This is one of those "licensed providers"

I just got a call from this number for the first time. It was "Tanya with Verizon Wireless." She asked me if I was busy and I said I was. She then said OK and hung up. Totally unprofessional sounding. I immediately called the real Verizon Wireless and told them the number, as well as the fact that I found it under numerous internet posts. The representative told me that this is not a Verizon Wireless number. He also said that usually Verizon calls from a 1-800 number. He said it was maybe a store calling, but he found that unlikely. He said I could have the number blocked if they call 5-6 times (repeatedly). If they call again, I'll have them blocked because I'm on the Do Not Call list.

I received a call from the number 3 times now, but have not answered any of the 3 times. I haven't received a voicemail, either. However, I saw someone post that the call was from Cranberry twp, PA, which is near me. They do have a call center for Verizon located in Cranberry.

So I call back this number and get Verizon at their Main Number (not 724-742-4342). So, the scam is that when you call back, the scammer is forwarding the calls to Verizon!

So, here's how it works: If you pick up, you're the pigeon. And they'll get details about where you live and breathe and then sell the information to the VOID of the telemarket underground.

Have received several calls from this number over the past week.  Finally googled it, came here and called Verizon by dialing 611 from my phone.  They said the number is on a scam watch list and offered to do a central block of the number for free, so no more calls from that number will connect to my phone.  Problem solved.

I recommend if you get a call from this number, dial 611 from your phone and have them do the same.

I received a call but I dont answer calls unless I know the number. I love caller ID. If you really want to talk to me, you will leave a message.

Got a call from this number today, and have several times before. I have never been able to get to the phone when they call. They never leave a voicemail. Finally called Verizon who said they do not make outbound sales calls and do not recognize this number. They said they would block the number for me. I would recommend everyone do the same!

Called me from this number and didnt' speak when I answered.  Still going on apparently.

A Sales Rep. who's name was Tawnya from Verizon called me to tell me about some stupid new items Verizon has to offer.

I have had the same problem. But they only seem to call only mon-friday any time. The last 2 times they called i did not pick up. Then they called me yesturday i picked up but before i said anything they hung up. So when i got off work. I called that number back and yes you get sent to a Verizon person in billing. But i had the guy look to see if that is any of there numbers and he could not find anything so he looked online and found out the same info i am reading now. But he was nice to put it on block list for me for free.

Just got a call from this number and I didn't answer it. No voice mail was left and if they call again I will be sure to call verizon to have them blocked. Thanks Everyone!
