Typical "home security system" scam. They offer a "free" alarm system for your home. The scam revolves around several points:

? Although the installation of the system is free, the monitoring is a monthly fee ? typically much more than legitimate alarm companies charge
? The contract for maintaining the monitoring service is typically longer than legitimate companies require
? Early termination of the contract incurs a hefty penalty fee
? Although installation of the alarm system is free, the equipment is still owned by the alarm company ? who charge a lot to *remove* it if/when you decide you don't want it any more

Different scams may use one, several or all of the above policies to rip you off.

Dan Called my cell phone from this number, this morning around 8:30am.  He asked if I would like to advertise their security business in my yard also.  I asked how he got my phone number.  He told me that he received my number from his "on-line partners".  I asked who his on-line partners were, & he then began to end the conversation.  I asked for him to answer my question several more times, which he refused to acknowledge & told me he would not be calling me anymore.

I may have been interested if this were an honest company.  Seems very sneaky for a security company.

I then called back & get a recorded answering service that explains that their hours of operations are 11am - 9pm.  

First call Id says St Petersburg FL and that I have won a cruise press 1... Press 2 to be placed on Do Not Call.  Pressed 2.  Aug 29, 2013 8:52 pm  I don't sign up for cruises...

V83015332700130 ID from the same phone number calls at 3:33 pm Aug 30, 2013 to offer me free wireless security if I will put a sign in my yard.  I advised the man - I have no interest and this is a Do Not Call Number so he quickly hung up.

Folks remember to log on the DNC.
