This person says he received my credit report from equifax and that he wanted to refinance my home.  He asked about my interest rate and when I asked to be put on the "do not call" list he just hung up.

727-233-1709 called me on 10/8/07 at 6:46PM; 10/9 at 6:11PM; 10/10 at 9:20AM, 4:41PM, and 6:34PM; 10/11 at 9:15AM; 10/12 at 11:18AM; 10/15 at 8:42PM; and finally just now, 10/18 at 7:32PM.  I am refinancing my house but have no idea how this number found out.

This number keeps calling me but since I don't recognize the area code I don't pick it up.

Calls on my cell phone.  I never answered so I don't know why he/she is calling.  I have no idea how he/she got my number.

This person called about a mortgage and asked what type of home I live in.  I did not give him any info.  Very harrassing and annoying!

The calls from 727.233.1709 are from a telemarketers, obviously, but all they are trying to do is verify that someone is actually connected to the phone number they are calling. If you answer, they confirm the number is legit and then sell it.
I've had this happen a few other times. Once I was able to track down an office number and I called and threatened a lawsuit. They stopped. I can't find any additional info from this number, however.

I receive several calls a day on my cell phone from this number.  when I answer he will not talk & I hang up.  I tried to report this to AT&T fka Cingular, and they are like talking to a wall!  How can this be blocked?

Am a Verizon wireless customer and have been getting calls for last week , today he identified me by name and hung up when I asked who this is.  A friend of mine then found this database on the number.  Verizon says its a land-phone in Florida from XO communications.

I'm from New York (state) and I use Verizon's cell phone service.  I've gotten several calls from this number, but I've never answered them because I do not answer phone numbers that are not in my contacts list.  Anyway, it's really annoying, and he calls anywhere from once a week to several times a day, and has been doing so for some time.  I am looking to get this number blocked.

I emailed the White house and let them know about this phone number. Hopefully Homeland Security will do something about this. We pay good money for our phone service. We shouldn't be getting harrassed like this. Verizon wouldn't do anything tonight when I called and reported this to them. Unbelievable.

I started receiving calls from this number yesterday. I just answered the phone for the first time and no one answered. I called the number back and was told it was not a working number. I called my phone company and reported it and they are going to block the number. Beware it is a scammer and they will try to get your personal information. Report the number to your phone company and also to your State Attorney General's office.

This guy called and asked for me, but my last name changed a yr. ago; anyone who knows me personally or through business knows that...so I said "you're looking for who????" and he goes "oh, sorry wrong number" and hangs up.  Of course when I try to call hime back it's an unlisted number.

Recieve approx 10 calls a day from this number....They never leave a message and usually hang up if I answer.  When I try to call this number back it says it is a non working number.

This number keeps calling my cellphone at all hours of the day and night.  I have no intentions of answering this call.  I've had this happen before with different numbers and eventually they quit calling.

They called once in the morning and I did not answer (I was at work).  They called back at around 6, asked for me by my abbreviated first name and told me they wanted to talk to me about my mortgage on a house.  It was weird cause they told me that it was for a house on a street I use to live on.  Anyway, I interrupted and told them I had no clue what she was talking about since I don't have a house and they said they will update their records.  I live in CO.

Keeps tormenting me with calls and leaves no message - I have no plans to answer this call. Is this totally random or is this psycho targeting customers of a certain phone provider (ATT/Cingular), or what?

i answered and he said nothing i thought it was a prank so i stayed on the phone 4 10mins hoping he would hang up he never did, he would breath occationally but thats it, their was some weird noises n the backgroung his t.v had a woman with a accent i finally hung up because i freaked out. AZ

I am in Arizona and have received 2 calls from this number today, the latest being at 5:44 PM this evening (August 28th).  The calls are to my home phone # which I never give out.  I have not answered either call because I did not recognize the number and figured it was a telemarketer or a scammer.  The caller does not leave a message.  I am hoping he will get bored and go away.  If I get any calls at weird hours I am going to answer and tell him I am reporting him to the police.

Just got a call and a hang up from this number, I live in Cali and refi'd about a month ago...saw someone else had this same thing

THIS IS THE 7TH TIME THEY HAVE CALLED MY CELL, I DON'T ANSWER AND THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE.

got a call on my cell phone three times today. will leave no messages. I tried to call back and I got a lines are busy message. maybe this is the guy that is trying to take my information from my bank as yesterday I got a call from the bank asking me if I was trying to buy something from bed bath and beyond online. My account has been cancelled because of this and I am having to change information with all the companies I do business with.

everyone getting these calls should go to your local law enforcement and file a complaint. the police should foward it to your phone carrier. this will help.

This Jerk is calling me 10 times a day, when i find him and i will he will be hearing a phone ringing in his head for a long time.

Keep getting calls from this number and not leaving a message ... please ask them to stop calling.

Received couple call from that number,and I never had a chance to answer. The reason the are calling is (I think!) they are trying to "make" a list of used number, and sell it to telemarketing companies later on.

NO ANSWER.....I TRY TO CALL BACK AND UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THAT NUMBER.....telefone company Machine says that number is not being dialed correctly.  WEIRD!!!!

A man called 'Chris' from Pacific Financial, called saying my credit file has been transferred from Equifax to them, and that they he wanted to talk to me about my mortgage. I'd recently been shopping around seeking a re-fi, and several possible lenders (banks etc) had made legitimate inquiries on my credit record before offering me a loan. He knew too much about by credit report. I'd like to know how he got access to my credit file.  I refused to answer his questions, and started asking him questions instead which he did not answer. I hung up. very suspicions.
