Received calls from this number with no answer.

This number has also called several times ... I have contacted FPL and they are aware, as well.  It isn't them...has nothing to do with FPL.  As far as "Do not call?"  I don't think it matters much to these people until there are enough calls, complaining to "Do not call," which may shut them down.  I, too, are on the list but still receive automated calls from these people as well as, just a few minutes ago, someone calling wanting to help me with the mortgage.  

The same thing, too, happened with my neighbor, who like you, made an appointment thinking it had something to do with FPL ... No one showed up.  Very  odd, indeed.

i too have received a couple calls from this number.  The last time someone was actually on the line claiming to be from the National Energy Association (I've never heard of this) and trying to establish which homes in the area would be eligible for $4000 worth of stimulus incentives for lowering home energy usage.  They offered a free energy audit and were scheduling for them.

My power company offers free audits, but I was a little skeptical about this because of the cold call.  I am on the do not call list, so I believe only govt. and non-profits are exempt from this.  I did schedule an appointment to see if this was legitimate, however it is an hour after that time and they are a no show so far.  

Hoping I wasn't scammed out of something or databased, but we shall see.  I'll update later

I have two land lines at home and have gotten calls from each of these numbers on both lines at the same time.

727-656-6263 - 10/09 (8:56 pm) and 10/10 (12:33 pm) - called this number - name on voicemail was "Louis Larose".

727-249-6727 - 10/13 (7:53 pm) and 10/14 (12:04 pm)

Called me at 8:34 pm tonight.  Hung up after I answered HELLO several times. Answering machine when I called the number back.

According to Whitepages.com the # is an unpublished landline in Clearwater.

I too receive calls from this number.  When the caller ID shows no name I simply "save" that number as a SOLICITOR in my phone's phone book and set the ring to silent.  I love this feature on my Uniden phone because, although it takes about 1 minute to program, it saves me the trouble of hearing the phone and wondering who the numbers belong to.  

I've heard that you can get service that will ONLY put the call through if it is a non-private or non-blocked number.  This means any legitimate sales people MUST have their caller ID turned on in order to even make your phone ring.   I don't know if I have to pay for the service through the phone company or not.  I use VERIZON for home service and the let everyone through.

Just received a call from this same number with no one on the other end who answered. Said "hello" twice, heard click. Called back and received VM response but the automated message indicated the mailbox was full.

What we all could do is keep a copy of this (and the other numbers provided by individuals on this site) next to our phones and not pick up if any of these numbers call. I will also send such "callers" to my fax line. Maybe the "caller" would like to hear a fax tone for a while?

Living in S. FL ... same thing.  Now, if someone's name is not with the telephone number I simply do not pick it up.  727-249-6727 No name available, it says.

We have been receiving calls from this number for the last week or two.  I called my phone company, and they basically told me there was nothing we can do.

Received the same type of call.  I answer and the phone disconnects.  I returned the call and voice mail picks up.  Two calls like this today

Have received numerous call from this number.  No one on the line.  Voicemail for this number is full.

Another call that I get no response to my 'hello". Called back using the number on called ID and it goes to voicemail saying to leave a message.
Other recent similar calls from: 727-656-6263, 407-429-1276. Called ID lists name as 'Cell Phone  FL'.
