Got got a call saying it's time to renew Reader's Digest. I told them Reader's Digest doesn't do third party billing and that I always renew through the company. The caller then wanted to know what other magazine subscriptions we have to update his records. I told him I renew directly from the company. End of conversation.

Called wanting to renew our Discover magazine subscription. When he put me on hold, I hung up, but was called back shortly after from 727-289-7244, who declared herself to be a supervisor. She was going to give us the "Senior Discount of 55% off", which was totally unsolicited, and no one in our house is over the age of 35. She then went on to describe our billing information as "you paid for it with a credit card starting with '4'", which I know means exactly this much: "you paid with a visa card", but makes it sound like they have more billing information than they really do.
There is no way in hell that I would have given them any credit card information. I can't guarantee that they're up to something, but they're SHADY...
