These people were trying to 'trick' me into changing my Electric company! I told them I was not comfortable with the call and hung up. They sound official but are just telemarketers! BEWARE!

'Official' sounding, scammers claiming to be from the 'electric company'... they are in Florida and I'm in NJ. Beware of these lowlifes.

Got the same call, the Caller ID reads Florida, I like Ghost am in NJ. A black woman with a thick ethnic accent (hard to understand) made it seem as if she was with the billing dept. of my electric company. When she mentioned the -wrong- electric company, I knew something was up, and told her that I don't appreciate the call, am on the Do Not Call list and she needs to stop it. She got nasty and said "Well then its yo money you throwin away GOODBYE!"
If it wasn't annoying it would've been funny.

I'm in northern NJ and they just called me as well. I let it go to voicemail. Caller ID said Verde Energy and they didn't say anything on the message, but all I could hear in the background was "call center" noises.

Did some research it is a company calling itself "DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY PROCUREMENT LLC" . Very misleading Telemarkter name if you ask me.
They don't sound legit and I would caution anybody doing business with them.
