Received a text message that said call (816)744-4058. smiONE Account Frozen. I have Verizon and have received calls like this before. Pretty sure this is a scam.

Call:(614) 453-5932 (441858XXXX AchieveAccountFrozen)

Thanks to all who posted I spent the last few days looking for who this could be through my records. One quick Google search and I found this thread. I got the account frozen message as well.

I got this exact text today & googled the #, glad I checked before calling it! Now that I see the many notes on here & most in the last couple of days, I'm sure it's a scam! Thanks for all the posts, they help a lot!

I just filed with the FCC.  Go to FCC.gov and file a complaint.  It is very easy and 0nly takes a few minutes

The first text was the one below, and the send text was the second one below the first. Two different numbers.

got same text  need to file a report with FCC.  I'm on the do not call list. The only way to stop this is file a report with the FCC.  More people file the better

Received 2 text messages this am saying account had been frozen. Don't know what kind of scam but pretty sure it is one. May check into reporting it to the police dept. Don't answer unknown #'s but now to get texts, I'm past irritated!

they text me and tell me my account is frozen i dont know these people...

I looked up the bank and it has a BIG red Banner that says do not call the number back, it is a scam.
I called the number,
1st it asks you to press 1 to verify.
2nd it asks you to enter your last 4 digits of your SSN ( I put in 1111)
3rd it asks you for your debit card number AND your security number on the back of the card.
I am in hopes that no one falls for this.

Yep!  Just got this and googled the number glad for all that have posted a warning...Thanks!  I'm wondering...Have any of you recently posted anything for sale?  I have and the person e-mails saying they're interested and ask for contact info and I gave my cell number.  Haven't heard from the person, but I get this text...hmmmm.  IDK, may not be related, but makes me wonder all the same.  The person emailing and asking for the info had a really unusual name.

The text came from what looks to be an email 910305@vtext.com . I looked up on the FCC website and found this http://www.fcc.gov/guides/spam-unwanted-text-messages-and-email  -it talks about rules against spam/commercial texts that weren't invited-not sure how they'd handle fraud ones, but I would think that would also be a violation. You can file a complaint with them (the form is at the bottom) and it is free. I plan to do that and also register the number on the 'Do Not Call Registry'. May be if enough people turn them in, they will be stopped and charged. I hate preditors.

received a text message - my account frozen - the account number listed on the text is not an account of mine..did not respond back..

I just got the same text. I don't have a debit card with them, and neither do any of my family. Nice way to try to get information. Wow.

I got the exact same text with the exact same account number. They texted me at 7am. This is b***s*** and annoying!

Just got the message and it is 7:15am Sunday morning! Message reads smi-ONE Account4786.55XX.XX Frozen. Well for starters I pulled all my cards and none of them begin with that number so BIG SCAM GOING ON! I googled the 478655 part and it came up as partial phone numbers to India! So I added a couple different last four numbers to see if I could get a cedit card company to come up and none did. Will look into contacting higher authorities on this matter Monday.

Don't respond to texts from unknown numbers. They are usually a scam

I got the same message, as well as my mother, from the number 727-369-9919. Check with family and friends and let them know that this is a scam.

I also just got the same text with the same account number listed saying to call..I agree it is a scam and someone should be looking into this.

They texted me saying saying my account was frozen i dont even have vtext or whatever it is.

Wats going on here? I dont like this that is not cool when its not true.
