SCAM.  Some Indian using Magic Jack.  Any call you get like this is a scam.  Google Indian payday loan scam or scam artists.  You can also find info about it at credit.com.  The FBI also has a webpage about it.  They collect 5 or 6 digit sums every month from foolish Americans.  It is a lie.  Use names like Russell Miller, attorney in CA.  You can look him off and call his office, he is not affiliated with them.  Clifford Lazzarro attorney in New Brunswick, NJ.  I got this call and called back.  Asked the guy where he was.  He said your're callnig from California, right?  I said where I'm calling from does not matter, where are you?   #on ID said 732 6451930.  He said San Diego.  I told there is a problem.  He said no, I have worked at this law firm for 15 years.  I said really this is in NJ.  Then the story changed to I just transferred.  I said Yeah, right.  I have the real law frim on phone and they have never heard of you.  THIS IS A SCAM.  THESE PEOPLE ARE USING SOFTWARE AND CAN DISPLAY ANY NUMBER THEY WANT TO DISPLAY.  I WILL BE SIGNING UP FOR GOOGLE VOICE.  IT IS LIKE OLD ANSWERING MACHINES, YOU CAN HEAR VOICE AND DECIDE TO ANSWER, REJECT, OR BLOCK.  I DON'T ANSWER MY HOME PHONE MUCH BUT SOMETIMES THE CALLS ARE ON MY CELL.  I went online to look for a payday loan in the spring and got calls for about a week, and I went online in November.  The calls started 2 days before Thanksgiving.  I did not even get a loan.  BE CAREFUL.  DON'T DO PAYDAY LOANS.  THESE PEOPLE HAVE SET UP FAKE PAYDAY LOAN SITES AND HAVE HIJACKED INFO FROM OTHERS.  IT IS SAID THAT THIS MONEY IS BEING USED TO HELP FUND TERRORISM.  JUST TELL THEM YOU DON'T DO C**** JOCKEYS.  THEY WILL BECOME IRATE!!!.  Also, they woke me up Monday morning and I had only been sleep for an hour.  I got up and started calling back.  They started screaming, "Do you hear me, don't call me!.  My reply, yes but you should have considered the consequences before you started calling me.  I called 10-15 times on Monday.  On Tuesday 10-15 times, I started calling at 8:19 a.m.  I said good morning, guess what I am not in jail.  I also called on Wednesday.  Now you are unable to leave voicemail.  ALSO NO THAT THE NUMBER SHOWN DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.  THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF NUMBERS, IF NOT THOUSANDS THAT THEY USE.  THEY CAN MAKE ANY NUMBER THEY WANT COME UP.  AGAIN, TELL THEM, NO THANKS, I DON'T DO C**** JOCKEYS!!!!

This is a scam.  Orignally got call from 210-4013470, James White.  I told him his name was not James.  I then asked him where he was calling from and he said U.S. Texas.  I said no, try again.  Then he said Houston.  I told him no you are not I.D. says San Antonio.  I don't care what U.S. Department of Law Investigations you are calling from, every American is not stupid and is not going to give you any money.  I don't deal with stupid people.  CLICK.  He called back and I told him, not interested.  He started saying he wanted ____ me.  I told him I want a lot of things.  I then told him you have to be 6'5 to ride this ride and  I don't deal with camel jockeyes.  He really started cursing.  TO EVERYONE ANY CALL LIKE THIS IS A SCAM.  THE FBI HAS A WEBSITE WARNING OF IT!!!  It is said that this money is being used to fund terrorism.  I will be signing up for a goggle account.  It is free.  It will ring, one of your numbers or all of them, i.e. cell, home, business.  It works very similar to the old answering machines where you could hear before you answered, when you hear the voice, you can hit block.  IT WILL SHUT THEM DOWN.  I ALSO READ A POST WHERE THESE SCAMMERS KEPT CALLING A LADY AT WORK.  SHE GOT A WHISTLE!  WE NEED TO SHUT THEM DOWN.

I just got the same phone call, This India sounding lady. I hung up on her, then she calls back saying shes going to call my jobs in s***. To bad I don't even work anymore right now. So I called her back and she said shes going to send me information from USA cash Advance or some loan place, stating that I got a loan for 200$ back in October? I told her I did get one back around in October but for 150$ and I paid it off like four days later. I'm not tripping though, I got my statements printed out, sounds kinda fishy. So I looked this number up and what you know.. Thank you

This man keeps calling me saying that i am being sued by someone but has no details about it. He calls me several times a day. I am not sure where he is calling from and when I call the number back it just rings and rings. I need to find out what or who this is

Well I just got this message too, saying what you all said.  I called them, talk to a woman, could'nt understand her so put this man on, saids that I am in big trouble need for my lawyer to call.  Said I owe $389.00, told him I sure did'nt get it.  Told him I wanted the phone number of the place supposely I borrow it from and he said that they would'nt talk to me. I was telling him to send me aletter but he hang up on me.

I also receive calls from this phone number.. the gentleman speaks broken english.. stating that he's from the investigation/justice dept of New York... telling me that there is a suit against my name and the last 4 digits of my social security number.. The scary part about this call is, like another mentioned, he knew my last 4 digits... He also says "God bless you and good luck" if I ignore the message and don't return the call...

TOTAL ScAMMERS!!!! I happened to receive a phone from a "John Smith" (very original) while I was reading everyone's blogs...I told "John" that I knew this was a scam and he hung up on me!!!!

I recieved this same call on 10//13/2011 saying the same thing the only scary part of it is that he was able to verify the last four of my SSN.

This number keeps calling my phone saying they are an investigation company and I need to get an attorney for a loan I didn't pay back. When I told her that I knew they were a scam. She called me a B**ch and a S**t. CRAZY

Received a voicemail from a man who did not speak very well and called back to hear the woman everyone is saying that says leave a message. This call came into a direct line into my office at work. Sounds like SCAM to me.

I receive these phone calls and messages daily, everytime I actually speak to them they can't give me any information on why or how I am being investigated or who I committed fraud against.  Today the chick that answers the phone when you call back go kind of funky with me and hung up in my face, so I called back and left a message threatening to report them and sue them for harassment.  I'm waiting to see what they will call back with next......lol

i actually just got this exact phone call like 2mins ago. Its 8-17-11 around 10:47am. Very horrible english. I just didnt answer cause i dont numbers that i dont recognize. Well he left a message stating the same exact information you have posted. I has actual part of a big scam 2yrs ago that clean cleaned my account and had to get the IRS involved. Although i got my money back since i had dat coverage with my bank..i hate it for anyone who has to go through this.

Claims to be debt collector from payday loan that I did NOT have.  Threatening messages asking for attorney info. and saying "God Bless You and Good Luck".  Speak VERY broken English.  Gives American/English name with STRONG middle-eastern accent.  ie: Officer Mark Reneiecen, Aaron Thompson, Mike Davis, Michael Davis, Shane Harris, Shaun Harris, John Adams, John Rogers, Eric Williams .  Threatening jail time,  ?a bad situation unfolds?, court fees.  Sometimes claims to be from "All American Financial" or "Federal Dept. of Justice."  Claims to "download" a subpoena..arrest warrant...law suit..going to arrest me at work...meet me at courthouse...must have my "retained attorney of record" call as soon as possible. Sometimes has the nerve to say ?God Bless You? or ?Good Luck?.  HILARIOUS considering I actually work for the state level Justice Cabinet! Sometimes claims to be representing CashNetUSA or CashUSA.Net. I called CashNetUSA and they stated that this was a scam.  They have NO information on me whatsoever. Call cell, place of business..and anyone you may have listed as a reference on an online payday loan or anything else....from years ago! Gave him the # to my attorney....the Better Business Bureau....became irate. Also give number to local police fraud division as attorney?s number.   Using female ?Kim Stewart from Jaffe and Jaffe Law Firm? claims to have sent legal documents to a gmail account.  So silly! Officer Chris Williams from law firm of "Cyber Crime Unit".  States supervisor will be arrested and interrogated as well!!

Have filed/reported complaint with State Attorney General's Office, IC3, Credit.com, this website, numerous other scam alert websites and anyone else who will listen, it is actually VERY comical now.  My co-workers and I enjoy listening to the voice messages or "playing along" with their script.  "We will arrest you at work." where do I work?"  "You know where you work."  Complete IDIOTS!!

Has now started sending ridiculous emails to a rarely used gmail account. States to call 408-663-9405 if I don't want to go to jail, but that I'm going to jail because I won't pay.  Horrible, broken english.  Obviously a botched attempt at a form letter/email.
