It is illegal to send unwanted/unsolicited text messages in the US. No legitimate organization will ever do this. Don't even respond as it lets them know that the phone number they sent to is active.

Said to call 866-737-7511 for 200 dollars free gift cards. Call the Number talked to someone that only wanted Debit Card or Credit Card to pay for "shipping and handling" Tried to get there bank account # to wire my 4.95 so I could get this 200 dollar gift card. Even asked about mailing the money to them overnight. After 8 minutes on the phone trying to figure out anyother payment option, the lady hung up on me.
