I recently got a call from a woman named "Sara Koch" about winning a trip to daytona beach, florida including a trip to the Bahamas too. the lady was very believable and had ALL my information (name, D.O.B, phone number etc.) she talked about the trip in great detail. I gave her my credit card number for a "year long hold" on my "vacation." she ended up taking $214 out of my credit card. I'm going to the police with this matter and the B.B.B also the lady Sharon Turner is just putting in good words to scam more people about the trip.

This guy called me because I filled out my info at a booth for a marathon. This guy sounds so real until he starts asking for credit card info. That's when we googled Steve Dolan from Florida and saw all these posts.  He had me going for a few minutes and I thought I was going to spend the holidays in the Bahamas.  I'm sorry for those of you that fell for it.  I almost fell for it too.  This guy should go to jail.

Got a call on my phone from a guy claiming I won a free trip to the Bahamas. I had filled out an entry form to win a $400 gift card to Home Depot at a Home and Garden Show. I told the guy I didn't sign up for a trip I signed up for a gift card. He got mad I wasn't excited about winning a trip. Finally after giving his whole speech he asked for me card number. I told him I wouldn't give it to him and he hung up on me. S-C-A-M!!!!!

I can't believe the state of Florida gives this guy a lic. to steal. On this forum he owns Florida Travel since 2007, he has now changed the name to Paradise Resorts. His name is David Crane, state of Florida Lic#   ST-35801 (with Florida Dept of Ag & Consumer Services. Phone # he gives them is 727-526-7018 & 727-526-8077. When scammed he used phone# 727-526-9195. Legal Name: Floyd Townsend Assoc. Inc./ Paradise Resorts and Accommodations. 5501 28th St. North #34, St. Petersburg FL. 33714.

If we were told it was a TIMESHARE from the beginning instead of being told: "We WON" a vacation package with 4 different trips~ it's your lucky day!!"  If I'm going to have to pay for a trip, I don't want some telemarketer telling what trip to take, I want to choose MY OWN.  It's a dishonest scam~ they are far from being honest. They keep saying YOU WON & don't tell you, you just get free rooms & have to pay a bunch of hidden fees.

David Crane, president of Paradise Resorts/AKA Floyd Townsend Assoc. Inc reported to State of Florida that his phone #'s are: 727-526-7018 & 727-526-8077. Not the 727-526-9195 # he gives to all us that he scams.

Exactly same thing happened to us that is listed before me. I called David Crane after months of being in process of his "YOU WON" Scam, requesting my$198.00 back. Told him I didn't win as promised, only rooms were free, but with extra fees, hidden expense, & airfare. It was a ploy to get you to buy timeshares once you get to destinations (required to go to 90 min sales pitch) at each location. Told him I planned to file a complaint with state of Florida, he said in anger:"You go right ahead & see how far you get with that! HaHa!! I've got this down pat~ I just tell them that you signed for discounted vacation & pulled out your credit card & paid for it! And there's not a darn thing the state of Florida can do about it because I am registered with them, here is my state registration #.....    So I filed a complaint sent all documents I had told them exactly what happened. A month later they send me letter saying they have closed my complaint, they don't have authority to settle due to fact that David Crane stated "MaryAnn purchased her DISCOUNTED VACATION PKG & was Never told she WON anything. As a matter of fact she was told her pkg cost was $198.00 & she pulled out her credit card & payed for it".  He scams people everywhere in the United States & the state of FL gives his a Lic. to steal.  On complaint form from FL Dept of Ag & Consumer Services, David Crane's new phone #'s: 727-526-7018 & 727-526-8077. His address is 5501 28th St. North #34, St.Petersburg, FL 33714. His FL State Lic#: ST-35801.  We all need to follow up, keep filing complaints to get this man shut down, so others will not be scammed.  God Bless the good & the honest, shut down scammers who steal & laugh about it.

Exactly the same deal...From the beginning I was very suspicious...but I decided to listen and hope. I was very guarded with what I told "Jessica," whose employee ID, by the way, is 50190. She told me to write all of the details down, that this was a one-time offer. She especially emphasized the number of days and nights. I gave her my email...my alternate one that I use for junk mail. She asked for my address and my credit card, but I told her I wasn't sure I wanted to give her that yet. She asked why, giving me a list of options, one of which was, it sounds too good to be true. I quickly agreed with that. So she put me on the line with her "manager" because she is "new" and wants to see if she can help me take advantage of this wonderful offer. He tried to convince me how wonderful of a deal this was and that they already own the locations, so it costs them nothing. When I still hesitated, I could sense his frustration, so I asked him a question, which he didn't hear and answer. He began speaking to "Jessica" with the phone still in his hand. I heard her telling him, "She gave me her email but nothing else." He replied mocking some of my answers. "She can't look online right now." "She wouldn't give her card info." "She just wouldn't give us anything." And then I heard a click. Haha! If I wasn't convinced before, that sure would have convinced me you were a scam!

I just got the exact same call.  The caller claimed I filled out a card at Zoo Boo, a children's event in the Green Bay area.  I don't remember filling out anything for a trip, so I was skeptical from the beginning.  According to the caller, I needed to sit down (so I wouldn't fall over in excitement, I'm presuming) because the computer just picked my name for a fabulous trip.  For $99 each (a 90 percent discount), my husband and I could take two friends (for free) to Orlando, Daytona Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and the Bahamas.  We could take the trip at once or, since "most people can't get off 11 days," we could do four separate trips.  He knew my husband's name, my occupation, and my address.  He said I would be receiving a package in the mail.  He then mentioned that I use MasterCard and asked for my expiration date.  I hung up immediately.  The contact number he gave me was (727) 526-9195.  They're a scam!

Had the same type of call after fillilng out a card at the Madison, WI  Women's Expo.  If I would just pay $99 each for two people (other two would be free) I would win this great prize.  I asked if they would be sending me the information - got the line about certified mail, etc.  The fellow was rather annoying cause I was not "excited" enough about this great trip - actually I was kind of skeptical about even filling out the card.    In any case, after I would not give out my credit card number, he said something about sending me some information and then pretty much just hung up - sounded really annoyed.  I have notified the Women's Expo as to what I think about them having these types of scam artists at their show.  They shoudl know better.

The 727-526-9195 number is from one of those vacation scam companies called Paradise Resorts ( http://www.paradiseresortsandaccommodations.com/ ). They tell you that you won a raffle at an event you attended and filled out a contact card. They tell you your name was selected as a finalist. The first catch is EVERYONE is a finalist.

They describe this 11 day vacation all over Florida then catch #2, they say for only an administration cost of $99 person (2 person min) they will process your prize.

Catch #3. When you contact them to retrieve your vacation they will block out almost every single date you try to book. Additionally, they hope and know that a lot of people never claim these prizes. You only have 12 months to use it or lose. Well with all the blocked out dates its too hard to schedule the vacation so most people miss the cutoff.

So if you still think this a legitimate company just check out the BBB report on them ( http://www.bbb.org/west-florida/business-revi ... urg-fl-19000346 ).

Additionally, you dont need to win any raffle to win this offer. Just visit their website.

BEWARE!!

Yeah, "mitzi" is clearly a shill, and not a very bright one at that.  The "R" word can be considered just as insulting and hurtful as the typical 4-letter curse words.

It sounds like David Crane and the Floyd Townsend Associates at the Florida Travel Agency have been at this for a while.  We have received several calls and also felt that the caller was both patronizing and eventually rude.  We explained that we were "waiting for the information and that we are just skeptical of these kinds of offers....  We've been burned before."  Our experience was exactly like the rest of those listed before us.  This one happened 3 months after an event last summer.  We were called on 9/24/12.  The contact number that we were given was 424-526-9195 and they did want $198 as a 90%-0ff fee.  At best, they are offering this "opportunity" to folks in the northern plains states and counting on us not being able to get away to take the utilize the offer.  The travel cost as well as the associated costs are enough that they Probably have much more than 90% of their "WINNERS" who never make use of the trip.  And that is where they make their killing.

I have gotten harrassing calls for months from this number trying to give me a free trip to Florida and the Bahama if I pay them a $198 processing fee.  They are very agressive and get very aggitated when you don't give them your credit card.  This really feels like a dirty scam.  There is a website but they won't give answer any questions or send you information w/o a credit card.

They claim to be the second largest travel agent and encourage you to call some number and verify their licence number, but only after you give your credit card info.

I filled out a raffle ticket a festival and they recived my contact info from that festival.  ERROR #1.  Won't be doing that again.

I suggest avoiding this harassment.

Sorry to say ERICA got me this time.  We need to send out a massive global informational bulletin about these MOOCHERS and how they SUCK dry the average Americans.  I am over people who mooch off of every one else!  Jerks!  Why not get the TV and radio stations to put out information prior to events coming to town to warn people in advance.

My husband just received a call (2nd - the first reception was bad) saying that his name has been pulled from the drawing from the recent Circus that we attended.  Very similar to what has been posted here; 3 days at the gate of Disney in Orlando, 2 days in Daytona Beach on the beach, 2 days at resort and spa, and 3 days in the bahamas.  Again, like everyone else has said, said it was $149 each and then asked for our credit card information. I immediately got on line and googled the name of the company and the phone number.  When he questioned, she said that there was small print on the back saying that there was a fee listed.  Then when my husband informed "Kristine" that we don't give our credit card information to anyone that we do not know over the phone, she was very short and hung up abruptly without any further conversation.  Simultaneous to this happening, I found this page.  Thanks for the heads up, and we will be reporting them here in Indianapolis as well.
