this is PODS (Portable On Demand Storage). I called for a quote, and they call me back.

Wow, I also got an inflated quote from pods ($2000 to move the smallest pod 300 miles!) And now I am receiving prank calls as well... 3 hang ups in the last 3 hours.

Same as everyone else. I got a quote of $488 for the Pod and 1 month of storage and then $115 every month after, plus $190 to move the Pod to my new house (about 15 miles away). Got a quote and unfortunately I gave them my phone number. This is an outrageous price.

I got called twice from this number and got 1 voice mail trying to get me to use their services. They said it would cost about $4300 to move a 7x7x8 container. No thanks! I'll send what I have via USPS for $500.

Agreed with those from above. I just got a call, it was dead air and they never said a word to me, how RUDE of them. Just another reason to not do business with this company.

Exactly what happened to me! I am so glad i looked it up and found out about this unethical business behavior.. They look like a trustworth company on the comercials but that's beyond wrong. For the same reason as everyone else, i did not go with their services, never gave them my information and did not make a reservation. They already called me twice and left no messages since then. I called then just now to say " stop calling me" and i hope it works. This is ridiculous that we have to cross our fingers so our privacy won't be invaded. And after te person already said they do not want their services, what do they think calling and leaving no messages will do for them? That's just stupid business!

I just the call too// several times now. I canceled the POD, because I sold my belongings, now they keep on calling and don't leave a message.
What pain in the .... I will now go out of my way to tell people not to use them.

What a RIP OFF COMPANY ! Special People must own it ...

I just got the call too... they quoted me double what ABF charges. I'm assuming they're calling me back because after the quote I said I'd think about it. Thanks for the heads-up... certainly won't be responding to this anytime soon.

We called them about their moving service for our son in the military, too dang expensive. One would think that after you tell them no thanks, that would mean stop calling, apparently not.

Thank you for this post. Didn't recognize the number and no message was being left. Had called to get a quote, felt pressured to make the reservation, which I did make. After discussing with my husband, who is currently out of state at his new job, we decided to cancel. Now I am getting calls on both house and cell. THANK GOODNESS for CALLER ID!!
And thanks again to this post, I know now to completely ignore this number when it comes up!

PODS...i told them no thanks tons of times charging 180.00 to move 30 min away no thanks...
sumzsumz 2009-07-02 19:16:38 Unknown
Yep - I got a quote from PODS the other day, $6000 to move from StL to Tucson... no way, man.
ABF is WAAAAYYYY cheaper! AND it was cheaper for us than using a Budget truck and driving it ourselves! GO ABF!
lee 2009-06-29 19:18:35 Unknown
thanks for the info. I had contacted PODS as well for a quoted and $4128 to go from Washington to central Texas is way to high, they are charging more than a moving company!
In Cincinnati and called PODS 2009-06-23 20:09:43 Unknown
I also called PODS for a quote...called the 800 number back to cancel since it would take me 3 pods to get the move done and one giant truck instead!
Now this number shows up and no message of course.
Thanks to the users who posted this number. Ridiculous that they are continuing to call after I have cancelled.

Wow, me too. Thanks for posting this information - I had no idea who kept calling me and hanging up, but I just got a quote from PODS as well - and didn't even give them my info, because it was an outrageous price.

dd-AZ 2009-06-05 00:05:20 Unknown
Same as the rest - it's PODS. I just called them back and informed them that they WILL remove me from all phone & email lists. They have been harassing me for days and their quote was four times what I expect to pay!
podstooexpensive 2009-05-28 19:52:26 Unknown
I'd gotten a quote over the phone from PODS, and was appalled at the outrageous price. I told them I didn't even want the number for the quote, as I would not use their service. I keep getting calls from this number--two today alone, and on the second call they hung up when I answered.
A 2009-05-01 22:16:16 Unknown
I called them for a quote last week and opted to not use their moving service because it is WAY too expensive. Today they called me to find out if I would like to use their services - I told them no (again) and asked that they not call me anymore. They called back a few minutes later and hung up when I answered. Lovely company.
