Okay, So I got a call from a 727 number as well and they even called my job, so I called the number back twice and started messing with these people, I also found out there is over like 200 different 727 numbers and they are all almost the same, so go to voice male, some play stupid and hand up so its a serious scam, I did get one guy to tell me him name and it was chuck,, I did not get a last name and the number was 727-831-9443

The is some kind of cold call deal for credit cards.  When I didn't hear them out they repeatedly carded back my cell phone and hung up.

Robb, you did some detective work! Great job. I received a call from the 727-565-1093 number AT WORK! A woman "Andrea" left a message asking me to call 877-596-5535. She said she was from Consumer Credit Group. How in the world did they get my work number and why are they calling me?!

only rings once then stops. calls almost every morning.

Just switch to a new lcoal number and get those calls - i just ignore it.

Some one has been calling from this number at least once a day for the last two weeks. I never answer but they never leave a message either. SO annoying :(

I called the number back, and recorded the ensuing conversation (no pun intended) from my speaker-phone and a video camera.

Them: "Thank you for calling Consumer Credit Group, how may I assist you?"

Me: "Hi, I saw your number on my caller ID and was just returning your call. What services do you provide?"

Them: "We are a company that can offer lower rates to consumers via their lenders."

Me: "Great!  Are you calling about a specific lender? If so which one, I've got SO many! (fake LOL)

Them: "Let's start at your highest interest rate card or loan."

Me: "May I ask how you obtained this number, I'm just curious because we are in fact, members of the national do-not-call list.

Them "I'm sorry, I'll gladly remove your number from our database."

Me "May I confirm that you are calling from 727-565-1093?"

Them "Yes."

Me "In the interest of full disclosure, let it be known that this conversation has been recorded for my personal records."

Them (pause)

Me "Also let it be known that this is the third such request (of which I have audio and video record) to be removed from your list. Let it be known that upon your 3rd call to my home, I will exercise my legal rights and sue you.  It is an FTC violation to call any consumer who has asked not to be called again (the “entity-specific Do Not Call” provision).
Calling a consumer who has asked not to be called potentially exposes a seller and telemarketer to a civil penalty of $16,000 per violation."

Them: (pause)

Me "Do you understand!?!"

Them "Yes"

Me "Goodbye"

(hangs up)

I do not know the name of this company. they only ask for my personal information.

I have warned these people to not call me, I am on a Do Not Call list for my state, but they still call, even after I warned them that each violation is a $11,000 fine!
I even told them I wanted to talk to their supervisor because I asked to be taken OFF their list and yet still get called, I followed their prompts (when u call their number u get a machine that gives u a choice to either want to talk to somebody or u dont want to be called anymore) to NOT be called any longer to no avail.
How do I report them to the FCC!!??

They keep calling! I have reported them to the BBB and the Do Not Call Registry. Next step is a lawsuit for harassment. Several different phone numbers from the same business. Recently tried calling the manager/owner Dale Robinson and only got through to a floor supervisor. If anyone else is pursuing legal action, let's team up.

They call me all the time and never leave a message.  Remove from calling list,

Called back the 7275651093 and it is a repeating "we apologize for the delay. Please continue to hold, your call will be answered in the order it has been received" automated message.  
I haven't stopped receiving a call from this number the past week. I never asnwer and this time when I called back using another land line, it was just a repeating automated system.

sometimes phone numbers can be obtained through 3rd party contacts, for example if you sign up for something (say Netflix) and give your phone number, 3rd party affiliations of Netflix may attempt to contact you. it doesn't matter what Netflix (or other company) says about giving out personal information, it doesn't apply to giving that information out to affiliations of that company, then that affiliation gives it out to their affiliations and so on.

HOW HORRIBLE IS IT THAT WHAT THEY DO IS LEGAL?????  THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HE_ _ FOR THEM.  WONER IF THEY WOULD DO THE SAME THING TO THEIR 83 YEAR MOTHER THAT THEY DID TO MINE?

LUCKILY, THE PHONE CALL WITH MY MOTHER WAS RECORDED, SHE IS ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST AND ACCORDING TO HER LAWYER.....IT IS ON!

I had calls from these people last year and made it clear I was not interested in there product.  It went on for a few weeks.  However, it started up again today, I have already had 3 calls from the number and after 2 rings I pick up and no one is there.  I would like to tell them where to get off, but they are not there to talk to.  If they really worked for you folks saying how good they are, then I can only guess that you must have on jacked up financial situation.  I have never heard anything good about these consumer credit not for profit guys. They get lenders where you are in default to waive back interest and penalties for a fee, but you could do that yourself.  If I figure out how to get rid of them, I will.

I live in Ca and you called at 6:30am this morning!

Great company or not, when they are asked to stop calling a person and remove that person from whatever call lists they have, they are legally required to do so.

This number has called me 2x per day for the past week, and there is never anyone there when I answer.  Getting sick and tired of it.

Have received 3 calls on my cell phone.  Answered once and was offered credit reports..... told person I did not request anything from them and would not give them any information.  I hung up but have just missed another call from them.   Annoying.

Got two calls from this number i warned them i am on a national registry to do not call me!!!!!!   the woman started arguing me that i was not in their system!!!!!!!!!!    What is a national registry for then!!! To argue with me and continue to tell me stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!   it is the Consumer Credit Company about lowering interest rates!!!!!!!!!!   I DONT OWN A CREDIT CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They just called me again while typing this that is 3 calls now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've also been getting calls almost every day - never leaves a message - when I do answer there is always just silence.
i just called the number after blocking my caller ID and it just says "your call is very important - please hold"  the message repeats on and on with no pause.

I just figured out I can block this number from my phone-  i'm going to do that now.
