For each violation you can hold them civilly liable in court ( I recommend keeping it to small claims so they can't get a lawyer to lie for them) for $500. Since they are in the business of telemarketing then they should know better and if you can show they knowingly and willingly violated the law you can up it to $1500 per violation if the judge agrees

That is per violation. Not per call. That means if they call a number on the do not call list that is one violation

Hiding the identity of their company  on the caller ID is another violation. If you have gotten multiple calls like I have you can compare caller IDs and some vary a little.

Track the calls note the full caller ID an time and date of the call. Ask them to send you a copy of their policy on maintaining an internal do not call list.

Do not use the false automated system to remove your #. You know that doesn't work. Get a live person and tell them and log in your notes that you told a live person and the time. If you tried to talk to a live person to delete your number from their list and get cut off then it is a dead call. That is a violation

A company can use an automatic dialer but within 2 seconds of you answering and greeting (saying something on the phone to inform the dialer they have a live person) a live operator should be answering. If not that is a violation.

AGR is in the Telemarketing business which makes them experts per their website. I think that means they should be aware they are violating the law. If you go to their website it now tries to claim someone else is making the calls. I find that hard to believe since it gets you to a live person eventually. Also look at how long people have been complaining of AGR violating the National DNC list and even now still calling. This isn't a new thing for them. Happy Hunting

My God why don't they stop calling!  They call and call and call and I've demanded they stop!

This stupid company keeps calling and caling.  I tell them to stop but the do not listen.  I get calls, hangups and recorded messages about lowering my electric bills.

How do I contact you... I am already taking action. I looked at their website and they are trying to head us off at the pass trying to claim that someone else is posing as them. But when I finally got a live person they identified themselves as AGR. Also why the notice on their site now but by all the postings here they have been violating the National DNC list for years. I am heading out of town for a few days and will be back Monday and will look for your way to contact you.

I am asking for any and all people that were called numerous times yesterday to contact me.  I am going to form a class action to put these people out of business.  I work for an attorney, and regardless of what the "telemarketer" above says, it is illegal and a violation of federal law for ANYBODY to call with a robot or auto-dialer to a cell phone unless they have express consent.  The consumer gets $500 per call minimum, it is called the TCPA, and you yourself can file in small claims court to get this money. Don't believe me, google the TCPA and robo-calls, and get some money for your troubles.  They DO NOT have the right to do this.

Shill alert!  Why are you calling people on the federal DNC list?  You are NOT within your rights to do that!  Given that posters state you are offering some sort of energy services, you are therefore a telemarketer and it is up to YOUR company to scrub your lists against the federal DNC list.  If you don't, you can be sued by any one of these people if they get disgruntled enough.

As annoying as the calls are i'm gonna give y'all a little piece of advice, call back ask to be put on the DNC list that is the ONLY WAY the calls will stop, ignoring us will NOT WORK , if u don't answer we assume ur busy and we should call back later, oh and by the way if u think that the or the better business bureau can do anything they can't we are completely within our rights DO UR SOME RESEARCH PEOPLE!!!

The company is AGR out of Clearwater ,FL....typical call center w/ the only goal is to get you to send your utility bill and "save' you money w/ no understanding of the financial ramifications of the energy market.

Used to work here.  Tell them to put you on their do not call list, those exact words or you will be recycled into the dialer again.  If you say those words, the caller has to select the do not call option.  
DON'T BUY INTO THEIR DEAL.  It's not a complete and total scam, sometimes their prices might be lower, but 99% of the time it is a scam.  I quit working there after only a couple weeks when I actually started to realize how the program really works and the scheme behind it.  I couldn't be part of it.

Direct Energy - selling gas and electricity.

I get calls several times a week. They do not understand the word no.  I have never had a relationship with any of the above. I am happy with my current supplier. And after dealing with the aggression of this company I would never go with them..EVER.

I keep getting calls from this number to my cell phone.  As most of you know, answering a long distance number on one's cell phone (this number is from Florida, I live in Ontario Canada), adds a long distance charge to your cell phone.  If it is indeed Direct Energy, then those idiots are getting around the daily limit of three calls a day by using multiple numbers.  I get other calls from a 1-800 number too.  Also Direct Energy.  Now is the time to really crack down and complain to the Ontario Ministry of Consumer Services and maybe then they will stop calling.  Let Direct Energy know that you are complaining,  The calls will stop for a while.  BUT, as long as you have an Enbridge account and rent your water heater for example, Direct Energy (the supplier of the water heater) will continue to call because unter the rules of the National Do Not Call List you have "a relationship" with Enbridge/Direct Energy and because of that relationship Direct Energy may call you...but only three times a day.

getting every day a phone call from this #.  recently twice a day They wanted  me to sign up for a   energy  supplier. I told them No, they don't stop calling....

I live in Canada and they are calling me on my cellphone.  DAILY for the last 2 weeks!!!  UGH

They replied "yes" so I asked them to take down my number and stop calling me.

They said they would take care of it, we shall see.

Once again these b*****ds called and left no message, violating the DNC.

They want to speak to the person pays electric bill i tell them if there calling me they should know who there calling my number is unlisted . To day this chick screamed at me i yelled to her to take me off the calling list !!! If there going to be rude im going to be rude . I should say hold on and then lay the phone down then they will get the message lol

I live in Illinois.  Have tried to stop these calls but IL told me to contact Florida.  They are useless. National do not call, useless.  I now have my computer calling them every 5 minutes, 10 hours a day.  If thousands of us did that it might shut down their phone system.

Get at least 3 a day from this number, told them to stop buy no luck.

I'm getting tired of these people phoning, still not sure who it is. They just say hello, hello, hello on my answering machine and then hang up.  Never identifying themselves.

I answered this call once after seeing it on my phone numerous times, after saying hello 4 times the caller asked about my energy bill, I told them no I was not interested. They will not stop calling me.
If you want to know about my energy bill, make sure you are calling from the Country I live in not outside. And when I say no leave me the f&*^ alone!!!!!

Now that I know who these clowns are I will block their number. I don't know how many times they have phoned as they don't show up on my call log, only on my display phones. I wish there was some way that we could get these types of calls STOPPED. They are very annoying!!

They called and asked who was responsible for our electric bill. I said he was sleeping and they hung up. We have been getting these calls since the electric cap came off our state.  I like Belle's response above and will try that next time. Smiling.
