Put a block on that number, through your home phone or through your computer.  If you don't know how, call your phone carrier and they will explain how.

I was called by FFBOF 727-856-6547 I answered and they they hung up.  I called back the number and it kept ringing.  This has happened several times.  I'm also on the "do not call list".

I asked the caller if he was a paid solicitor and he gave me the run around so I hung up...you should do the same.

BACFF is the Bay Area Council of Firefighters. It is the firefighters unions. they've been calling for a decade

DNC doesn't apply to them. If you live in Florida and own a house phone you WILL get solicited by any and everyone. So disconnect your phone or go back to NY or Michigan

DNC list doesnt apply to charities/non-profits.  Only to someone trying to sell you something.  No offense but any good salesman period has a good strong direct voice.  You probably the type that s**** themselves when someone gives you a firm handshake.

The department would no absolutely nothing about the people that raise money for the firefighter union.  fire Department and firefighters union - two different things.  Dept run on tax dollars, union run on dues and contributions.  You may as well call city hall and ask them if they know the janitor hired last week as a temp.

Businesses pay to be a member of the BBB.  Therefore, if BACFF is not a member of the BBB, calling them is completely useless.  You keep telling these ppl remove your number on an anonymous site.  In reality, they are reading this laughing at you.  Good day.

727 856 6547 is the number, BACFF is the caller ID.  Tried calling them back to a busy signal.  I will continue calling until I get them and will inform them that they are all over the internet recognized as scam artists.  Inquire as to whether they'd like to chat with the attorney general.  There should be a way to prosecute people who do this to those minding their own business in their own personal homes, who do NOT want to be interrupted and bothered by these infuriating nuisance calls.  I'm on a tear now!

They don't "rob" houses, It would be a pretty easy breadcrumb trail for cops to pick up don't you think. If a idgit like you thought of this idea, i am pretty sure the capable police of this town could come to the same conclusion!!!

I know what you mean!  I was just woken out of a sound sleep (I am VERY ill) and no answer and wouldn't speak to me!  This is at least the 15th or 16th call from these people to me!!!

I have been called REPEATEDLY from BACFF @ 727-857-5946.  I missed each call and these people do NOT leave a message.  DO NOT CALL BACK TO MY NUMBER EVER AGAIN!!!!  I am EXTREMELY ill and you just woke me up out of a sound sleep to get dead air!!!  Remove my number NOW!  I am on the Do Not Call list so I don't understand why I'm being annoyed with calls such as this.  If I receive another phone call from BACFF I will notify the Better Business Bureau!

727-856-1770 BACFF .   With different exchange but same area code.     BACFF is calling me. Will not talk when I answer. Will not leave message. Continuously harassing. When I call back either line is busy or no one answers.

Call from Bill claiming he was from the Citrus County Ambulance and Paramedics Asssociation requesting a donation.  When I declined he insisted and told me it was really needed right now.  I still declined and he said insistantly that it was only $30.  When I said no again he huffed and hung up abruptly.

Woah, I never thought of that. That's a pretty scary thought because I do have a lot of older people living around me.

They try to make you think they're collecting money for the firefighters. They give a miniscule amount and keep the rest for themselves. By giving a very small amount they get off as being a charity agency and get away with it and the "do not call list" can't stop them. I called my local police department and they told me this.

BACFF callers are back. I think it is a gang of crooks calling to see if a place is emptyand the call back several times to verify that noone answers then go out and watch the home to see if it is being sed. I think they are checking mainly on old people and Snow Birds. I really think it is something illegaland that they rod homes

I too receive calls that come up 'BACFF'. (I figure it is supposed to stand for something like Bay area community firefighters) I do not answer these calls nor do I answer the ones that come up as fraternal order of police or any such variation of names claiming to be collecting donations for a local fire or police dept. What bothers me is when you do take one of these calls the (always a man the times I have answered) caller asks if they can count on you to donate again like you did the previous year. This is a scam. I have NEVER donated anything to a phone solicitor. I wonder how many well meaning people are fooled into actually giving money? Please people do not donate to or purchase anything from anyone that you did not seek out yourself. If in doubt, check it out.

Seems they are up to it again only using the number 727-856-5125.  No idea who they are or why they are calling this DNC line.

got a call from BACFF from a different # 727-856-6547. When I picked up on the 3rd ring they had alreadt hung up. When I called back the guy that picked up  just said "can I help you" .  Did not give any info on who, what or why I had gotten a call. Too bad I did not ask for all of that before I told him to stop calling and that my # is on the do not call list.
It seems lately (and I am on the list) that the calls are coming more  and more, or is it just me?

Been getting calls from these numbers for a few weeks. Today was the first from BACFF. Another came up as just Hudson, FL with the number 727-856-1734 and the other was Kim MacNeil 727-856-5734.

Steve, Did you ever figure this out. I'm getting calls now.
