These guys have been calling me for days, and since my "debt" is in dispute after I called the ACTUAL First Credit number, I finally answered today. The guy sounded like he was in a crowded room and underwater at the same time. I could barely make out what he was saying, but when I told him that I have it in dispute and I was promised to not get any more calls, he kept talking OVER me and repeating the same scripted message over and over. I eventually hung up. SO RUDE!!

I have done some investigative work on this phone number because, like so many people, I am receiving harassing calls. This number is not affiliated with First Credit Services as they claim to be.

This appears to be First Credit Services (FCS) hiding behind a false identity of Sterling LLC and originating calls from 732-807-2048;  This use of a false identity in making telephone calls - likely is a violation of various Federal laws and local State laws.
Fair Debt Collection Act:
§ 806. Harassment or abuse
         (5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.
         (6) Except as provided in section 804, the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the caller’s identity.

Keep getting calls but never a message. Finally called them back (they must have caller ID) and he said he was looking for "andy". I told him there was no one here by that name (which there isn't) and he said sorry and hung up. Hopefully won't hear from them again!

Will not give me any info, just keep calling.  When I call back they can not tell me why they called.  But want my personal info.   Told them to stop.  Never heard of them and will not give out my bank accounts or SS number to them.  They got quite nasty

They just finished calling me a few minutes ago with no message. This is just another scam. Debt collections should contact people by mail or if they do call by phone, they need to identify themselves from the beginning and allow you to pay your debt by mail.  No one should ask anyone for credit card information over the phone if they call YOU first.  They are not the company they say they are representing and just want to take people's money and identities.

Secondly, I did not give anyone permission to give anyone my cell phone number. And thirdly I do not have any outstanding debts.  Any debt I had is over 8 to 9 years old and it is no longer collectable.

If your debt is over 7 years old, do not pay it.  It will ruin your credit!!  It will show up as an updated, new debt that you paid severly late and it will stay on for ANOTHER 7 years and drop your credit score very low.

Getting calls 2 to 3 times a day. The person on the other end won't identify the reason for the call unless I verify who I am. I just hang up. They also call and there is no one on the line.

Okay, so these people have been calling me for the past week. They called me the first time while I was at work, and so I told them I was at work and to please only call me after 6 pm. They called me every day after that, WHILE I WAS AT WORK. I got another call today, around the same time (2PM) and I am not working today so I got to get some information from these ***holes.

I talked to a David Schmit, Amy Jones, a John and a Jack. Interesting names I might say for people with extremely heavy accents that can barely speak english. They claimed they are "First Credit Services". So I talked to them about a debt that they claim I have from a gym membership I cancelled years ago. They told me that they would give me a settlement for $200 cheaper than what they were originally asking. I gave them my card # and told them I can only afford $50 a month. They said fine. And when I asked them to send me documentation through federal mail they said they absolutely could not and it was out of their hands. They could send me an e-mail or a fax. So I asked they do both. They said they couldn't "at this time."

Being the skeptical person I am, I googled this number, and read all about this and freaked out. Cancelled my debit card, called my old gym to see if they sent me to collections, turns out they did. They gave me the number for the REAL "First Credit Services" which is 1-800-606-7066. I called this 732 number and told them about the 800 number I was given. Amy Jones answered and claimed she was the supervisor and when I asked her about the 800 number she changed the subject multiple times saying if I did not pay her $230 right now my settlement will be void and I will need to pay over $600 to them.

I finally got her to tell me that the 800 number I was given was their "head quarters". I told her that I would call them and pay them because I do not trust her company and who she is claiming to be. She got very upset and told me that if I waited until tomorrow I would have to pay multiple amounts so I asked her for her extension, and she claimed to not have one. I told her that all supervisors at big companies MUST have extensions, she denied, I asked her if she was sure and she finally gave me "117". I told her that her and her employees have been very disrespectful and rude to me and I am very offended and I might have to report this to FCC. She hung up on me. And I am excited to call tomorrow to the 800 number my gym gave me to try and figure this **** out once and for all.

have gotten multiple calls. i usually dont answer calls from numbers that i dont know, and they never leave a message.

once i realized who they were, i started to harass them back.
called the number back and muted it multiple times and the girl just kept hanging up on me. after about five calls, the girl on the other end, "amy", stared to sound VERY irritated. ever since then, when i call back, i just get a busy signal.

I guess they blocked me like i should have done to them a long time ago!

These are people are with First Credit Services or something like that and they claim it's a debt owed - I sent them a cease and desist letter yet they continue to call me (twice since I sent they letter which was sent via register mail so I have a signature that it was received).  I don't answer when they call because frankly I want them to continue to call - I have spoken with an attorney about this since they are simply breaking the law of the Fair Debt Collection act and with each call I can sue them for $1000 (although I'll probably never see the money) but the proof is in 1 voice mail time-stamped along with the records on my cell phone bill.  I urge everyone to send them a letter - fax, mail, however and let these bastards continue to call because I plan on hitting them with a huge penalty for breaking the law.

i have been getting calls from these people several times a day.  every time they call, they're asking for someone named "sharon"- i've had this phone number since april and do not know a sharon.  most recently, i've received calls on 2/19, 2/22, and twice on 2/23- each time i've told them that i do not know a sharon and that they need to take me off the list.  every time, they tell me that i won't receive any more calls.  well yesterday, 2/23, they called at 4:26pm and i told them that if i received any more calls, i would call the authorities to report them.  what do you know i got another call at 5:41pm.  i called the number back from my caller id (shows up as sterling llc ny) and spoke with sam peterson who answered the phone.  i explained that if i received another call i would report them, he assured me i was removed from the list.  got another call this morning at 10:14am and called back, sam peterson answered again.  this time i got transfered to the IT dept head, rich.  said that i had reported them to the state attorney general, BBB, and local police dept.  we'll see if this actually works.  ohhh and it's a debt collection agency.

They are rude people that keep calling me and they won't identify what the call is about.  They also say that they are calling from New Jersey - but when the number shows up on my phone it shows an international number and I also said "you are not calling from New Jersey - you are calling from overseas!" and they told me that I was wasting their time!
