Just got a call...said hello three times, then an automated "good bye" and click...

I just got a call and only answered because I thought I recognized the number.  I got the hang up too.   My company just switched to voice over IP and several times since when someone calls me at home from the office, GBL LLC pops up, so I think whoever is calling could be coming from anywhere on the planet if they are using VIP.

First time for me recieveing a call from this number, who left a serious threating msg from Mitchell & Corenta? something like that, stating this was a final chance to correct a personnal oblication before other means are looked into. Who and what are these people. Like everyone else, returned the call an no answer. it was'nt but a 1min before I called back. Caller id said GBL LLC, so called company was agin Mitchell & Corenta?

Dish network has been harassing many people with such calls. The calls are originated in India and they are breaking the law by violating the do not call registry.

Who are you going to sue?

My story is a little different:  I just got a call on my business switchboard from this # for the first time.  Woman with an accent said she was calling on behalf of her boss concerning an invoice they received from us.  We have several billing departments so I asked her what the invoice was concerning so I could connect her to the proper department.  She said she didn't know and then told me 2 or 3 times that they had bought $75,000 worth of equipment from us.  I asked her what type of equipment (trying to pinpoint which department to transfer her to) and then the line went dead.  Call didn't disconnect but she clearly wasn't on the line anymore.  I looked up the # on the Internet and realized it was reported on this site.  I tried calling back and, sure enough, it just rang and rang and no one ever answered.

I just added my number to he Do Not Call Registry and made a complaint about this number

I blocked out my number and called them back and the phone just keeps ringing.  I let it ring about 10 times and then hung up.  If they were a respectable company, someone would have answered the phone.

They just called my job number.  All I can hear is that the phone kept clicking and the person had an accent.  Don't know how they got my job number.  Right before that I received a call on my cell that I didn't answer b/c the number looked funny 38588579550 - no dashes or nothing, it came up just like that on my cell.  Right after I didn't answer that call is when someone called my job s I'm pretty sure it was them.

Could we sue for harrassment from these people??

They keep calling and no one will answer,,, I tried calling it back because like everyone else said,, it was a local number.. Iam pissed and they better not give me a answer when i pick up because i will sue them for harrassing me

This number calls me once a week and no answer.  i call back but no one ever picks up.

This number keeps calling. Asks me my name and when i reply i am her it hangs up.

Ok, got this call again today...a woman with an Indian Accent. She calls and asks for me, when I asked for the name of the firm she says something like Cash Connect. when I asked the name of the firm she was calling from, she didnt answer, she just kept asking for my name! she called a few times back to back!!! Quite annoying...I am asking her for more information and more information and she gives me nothing...I need these calls to stop and I dont know how to make them! the first time she left a message saying they were going to put me in jail and God bless and whatever happens to you...I was like what the...

Calls at least once at various times past 8:00 p.m.  Always speaking Spanish.  Very annoying!

Called at 4AM....4 o'clock in the freakin' morning. And they didn't even leave a message or say hello when I answered. It wasn't even my home phone that they called. They called my cell phone. I am annoyed and from now on I wil be turning my phones OFF when I go to bed.

I answered because it looked like a local call. turned out to be a call center in Chicago, so they said, but both people I spoke to had heavy Indian accents. They claimed that I had been randomly chosen for a free trip to Vegas or Orlando, and I had to to go an office in Williamsburg to claim the prize. It's King's Creek Plantation, which turns out to be a condo sales project. It took 20 minutes to get to the confirmation number and to set a time for the important reception where I'm supposed to get my prize.(Of course, I'm not going.) I only stayed with the conversation as long as I did to try to figure out where this scam is coming from.

In short, it's a variation of the old "free trip, but we'll try to torture you into buying something" high pressure sales tactic.

Calls at lease once a week.  Each time I answer, I hear a clicking sound as if they hung up on me.
