757 204-3138. Some type of extended car warranty. I missed the call and called them back. I got a recording that lasted a few minutes about a car warranty for cars under 10 years old. I optioned #4 to be put on the do not call list. Not sure if it will work, but don't need a car warranty.

This is a callbot. Here is the transcript of this call verbatim:
"Hi, Yes, my name is Ms. Phillips and I'm giving you a call today regarding documentation that's come across my desk for review. Please return my call directly at (757) 204-6324. Again (757) 204-6324. Thank you."

Keep getting calls from a debt collector called CKS Financial 540-369-3051.
I don't have debts. My credit is excellent. How do I stop these scammers from calling?
jim 2012-07-13 16:39:13 Unknown
collection agency think they are slick by not mentioning name of thier company, etc and really you have the right to have your number removed, but if not, i'd say call your phone provider and get that number blocked, explain the situation and hopefully they will block it, i know my wireless provider did for a number that called me but wouldn't reveal anything unless i state that i'm the person their looking for, anyone can say they are this person and they' wouldn't know, had the number blocked until next month haven't heard from them since

"Mr. Van Cleef" just called our office from a different number 276-207-8042.
G. 2012-05-12 00:35:06 Unknown
I received calls from David Wells, saying with his colleague or asst Amber Knight, I searched for the names and I got several results, including this number. But remarkably, they used a different number to call me. It is 5714824734 and most recently, 4242709593. This David wells left a message saying they are calling regarding a matter that was in his desk and wanted to discuss it. they did not say the business name or what matter it is, but is an issue. They even threatened that if I do not return the call, they would take that response. hmm my number is already in the do not call list, but still scammers keep calling. how can this be stopped.

There is now an African-American woman calling by the name of Stephanie Mason. All she says is" My name is Stephanie Mason, call me back at 757-204-6330, but call ID shows her calling from 540-369-3051, which is the same number Amber Knight has called from many times.

If you believe this is a scam, and/or that your personal information has been used inappropriately, report the call to the FTC. I just reported the "Amber Knight" call that I received today. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/phonefraud/report.shtml
ticked off 2012-04-04 22:42:42 Unknown
Can you tell me how this ended for you? I have had the three Amber Knight calls, and now the first David Wells call. It is playing out just how described. They dont say they are attorneys, or who they represent, I doubt they even know who I am, and never say what the issue is about.
ticked off 2012-04-02 23:16:48 Unknown
Amber Knight is hasassing me too. The number she gives is different, 804-461-3394. The message is verbatum to what I have read on this message board. I am glad I looked online before calling. She can call all she wants, I just wont pick up or return her calls.

One of the numbers used by a company that does not identify themselves or say who they are trying to reach, when leaving one of about a dozen voicemails reading from the same script. There has been a Mr. McConney, David Wells, Amber Knight, etc.. Other #s 757-204-6285, 804-461-3394, & 800-984-3711. Their script goes on about "your preliminary paperwork just reached my desk", "current situation that does involve you" "if you don't contact you will have to proceed without your input". They are calling a cell phone # which is never given to anyone but friends & has been ours for over 5 years. Perhaps someone gave out a fake # to their bill collectors, but even if they were calling the right person, this is very unprofessional and their failure to identify themselves violates Fair Debt Collection laws. When I finally called back today to tell them to stop, the woman hung up on me before I was able to make all my objections to their actions heard. This better be the end of it, or I'm the one who is about to get nasty.

Some lady has called at least two times, stating "something came across my desk, and I'm sure you may not be aware, I want to hear your side, la-de-da-de-da, something to that affect, I called back late last PM, no answer, no way to leave a message; today I noticed the number on my phone again, I erased it.

I have verizon, too. How do you block calls.
Michelle Rutherford 2012-03-12 03:44:45 Unknown
Keep getting threatening calls; if someone wants me they can send it in writing - leary about any type of calls of this nature. They do not even leave a business name. When you call the number after hours it rings and rings and then does not give a business name.
Blocked the Call 2012-03-09 20:51:20 Unknown
Hey, I blocked the number. If you have Verizon, you can do the same. Granted they called me from two numbers, so I simply blocked them both. I called back just to be able to humor anyone else who reads the posts in this forum, and I asked them 3 times what was the name of the company. The woman on the other line asked me what my name was and I told her I was not releasing any of my personal information until she could answer my questions because a.) everytime they call, they never even say my name in the message b.) they never tell me what the call is pertaining to. So, she proceeded to get rude, I checked her a**, blocked the calls, and hung up. Whatever "company" it is, they're totally unprofessional. Why would I call you and tell you anything about me. What paperwork have you received with my information on it, but I monitor my credit and I haven't seen anything new on there, nor have I had any issue that needed to be escalated. So don' t waste your time guys. They're idiots. I just wanted to know who left two messages on my phone, but that will obviously never happen so...eh...whatever. Any real debt collector would send you something in writing if they couldn't reach you so...

Amber Knight just called with the same speech. I better say...the recording. The voice do not mention names or anything. She try to scare you with an alarming tone. I really hate all the criminals out there! I wish them the worse! Hope the FBI do something about it. Those criminals do not deserve to be breathing!!!

How about this - we know who these people are:
CKS Financial
505 Independence Parkway, 300
Chesapeake, VA 23320
Phone: 757-271-2746
Fax: 757-361-0018
Contact: John Sanders, EVP
E-mail: jsanders@cksfin.com
Web Site: http://www.cksfin.com
I had a dream last night that one day we all start calling their 757-271-2746 voice line several times a day about an "arbitrary matter". Given the number of people who have been harassed by them, because each of us called their business number several times a day, they got all the "business" they deserved. My dream also extended extended to the fax number. Some Tech companies have a service where they fax their technical papers to the number you give them. I think the fax number in my dream was 757-361-0018.
We don't all have "free" calling plans and these people are calling Cell Phones. There is some cost, be it time, money or a potential missed real calls, for their harassment.
Perhaps John Sanders and CKS Financial can be persuaded to modify their tactics.

After being harassed by GE Money, who took a grand three years to figure out I am not David Miles, I started getting calls from this number. Its seriously beginning to piss me off and I'm considering a new cellphone because of this. It's an obvious scam by the simple fact that "Amber" won't say who she represents or why she's calling me.

Received a robo from someone asking for me to return a call regarding a matter that had been "forwarded to [her] office for review."
Vague that up for me a little?

Have recieved several calls and messages from this 7572046330. I never answer but the message they commonly leave is something to the extent that it's david wells and he and his office have been trying to contact me for some time and they want to verify my address and get my statement on a matter i may not be fully aware of. They will have to proceed without my input if I don't contact them quickly. does not say where he is from or what he wants or what the matter is. Everything is very non specific, including the threats.
Any legit company will send you something in the mail. I did recently move but I have a change of address in place so I still get all my mail. Phone calls don't mean squat if the person on the other end can't or wont tell you the details of the matter. Debt collectors ususally at the very least say they are debt collectors and most would rather just send you a bill anyway.
Never give your personal information to anyone you don't know for sure is a legitamite business. Don't send anyone money on the phone with a credit card or check.
Court will never call you looking to settle, or let you know you need to appear. You will be served...it the law, if you need to appear in court.
Better to appear in court and plead your case than hand over any money up front.
