this number calls 3 - 4 times a day until 8:30pm or later.  An automated voice tells me to call an 800 number "this is an attempt to collect a debt, please call 800...."

This is a debt collector

Debt collector keeps calling for person who had our home phone number three years ago.

I called West Asset Management at 888-516-3287 to have our number removed from the previous person's account so they will stop calling us.

Automated system asking me if I'm the person or whether to put the call on hold while the person is made available.

They are required by the FDCPA to supply you with proof of debt.  They need to supply you with something you signed, a purchase order, invoices proof of delivery, etc.  They cannot just tell you you owe money.  Look up the FDCPA and protect your rights!  If they do not tell you that this is an attempt to collect a debt they are also in violation of the FDCPA.  *FDCPA only applies to retail/private debt.  if you are a business that owes a business money the only thing they are required to do is provide proof of debt.*

just file a complaint with Attorney General they are breaking the FDCPA.  i know I am a bill collector... :(

West Asset Mtg.  What a bunch of jerks!  When I asked for a statement so I'd have proof of the bill they said we can't do that, we can send you a bill but nothing itemized!  WHAT?!?! you can send me a bill and harass me everyday but you can't send me a bill saying WHAT I supposedly owe for???

started getting multiple calls per day from this number on my cell, didnt recognize it and they dont lv msgs so I never pick up. I finally decided to call it back and here's what I got..
Call is answered by person who says "one moment, I will put u thru to the account manager"(Im thinking account for what?)...another person answers and asks "How can I help u?", I say I dont know, someone just called from this number...she replies,"Oh, let me direct u to that person"...next person answers and says the same thing. I repeat my comment and she replies with,"Is this (my name)?" I decide that until I know who and what they are calling about, they are not getting any info from me. Her response is "This is Asset Mangement and we have been trying to reach (my name)for some time regarding her account with us (Im thinking again, account for what?) is there a work number we can have?". Ha! I asked if they could be more vague. Then she became hyper-verbal and with a snotty tone, so I suggested that maybe (my name) would call u back if you could leave a detailed vmx. I could not get any other info, and yes, they call every day 2-3x daily, but the phone rings only once and they hang up.

These people have called me at my place of employment which is a hospital over 17 times in one day. And have called my cell phone number at least 23 times in one day. This is ridiculous, outragous, and down right rude. I thought harrassment was against the law every where. I have told these people to stop calling me. And they still do it. I am at the point now where I am going to start a law suit against this company for harrassment, and will welcome anyone else that wants to join in on me with the proceedings of getting these people either shut down or to stop the harrassment.

They have just started calling the house today. I answered one and they never talked to me and the other call I never answered. They did not leave a message.

These people call EVERY single day in attempt to collect on a bill!  I've told them over and over again that that person does not live here, I have called them back and they automatically thing I am the person they were calling for and I have to correct them.  I told them to take my number out of their files several times, what can I do about this?  Any ideas are welcome! I have West Assetment Management calling me about my old past due medical bills that I still havent had money to pay off. They can be rude and call 24/7.

They called me several times leaving messages for a person who I don't know. I called back and yelled at several people and was hung up on. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint with the Do Not Call list, which they feel they are above. If this company is bothering you, I suggest filing a complaint with the BBB or with the State of Virginia from where they are located.

They have called at least 20 times looking for a specific person, someone who must have had this number before me.  Even when I answer I can not talk to a person to report this.

This is a collection agency that called my elderly parents home in regards to a medical bill for my step-son back in 2003. They have NEVER contacted me personally via mail or phone and how they got my parents number is a mystery. They gave out all information regarding the bill to my mother which is completely against the HIPPA law.

West Asset Management just started calling out of the blue they do not ask for a specific person, they just say call us at 888 516-3287. They don't say what for. Does anyone know why they don't even announce they are some kind of debt collector or if they are connected to any parent company or work with Paul J Coleman.
