Matt Owens called to silisit donations for Suffolk Fraternal Order of Police.

Matt Owens is with Chesapeake FOP and is solicitiing money.  A pain in the a** is he...

A guy called our practice and asked to speak directly with Dr. Martin.  I asked his name and what it was in refernce to.  He said he was Matt Owens from Public safety with The City of Norfolk.  I asked if this was regarding fundraising he said no and stated he had another call coming in and had to get off the phone.  Very Rude!!!!

Matt Owens asked to speak to the owner by name and said it was with regard to public safety management. Not being able to think of a way public safety management relates to the business I work for, I started asking questions such as was the call regarding a matter my boss was already familiar with.  Matt Owens got SO RUDE and asked if my boss knew I treated callers in such a way.  I apologized but proceeded to ask my unanswered questions.  He said his elderly brother was calling and he had to go.

Got a call from Matt Owens Today, Said this is Matt owens and left a number like I knew him. The Number he left was 757-961-9049

He also calls from 757-233-8923.  Again, VERY rude and hung up on me when I tried to get specific information.

Received a call at my office from MATT OWENS, who, apparently has also used the number 757-233-9833. My office asst took the call.  He left his number, said it was a personal matter and was rude.  When we called him back on a speakerphone to ask again with what the call was in regards to, he said he had his mother on the line and hung up.  This is just like the calls from 757-233-9833.

he also said his name was matt johnson not matt owens.  my husband is a tree climber and when i asked why he wanted to speak to him he said in a sarcastic voice "tree work", i tried to call number back and it goes to voice mail. left message that i own company he can leave info with me. i hope they stop this crazy person. he is RUDE!!!!

Yeah, just got home and had a message from Matt Owens. That is all he says and leaves his number. I immediately googled his number and ended up on this site...thank God!  The weird thing is I own a small company (part-time) and he called my home number (the only place I listed my company # as my home was with the city of vb because i didn't have any other # at the time - was just getting my business license). On his message he named my company name - my company is not listed with the phone company. I believe he is getting some sort of list through the city.

Nov 20; 5:21pm. (Virginia Beach, VA). Received a call from: "Public Safety" - the man ask for my husband and when I told him he was unavailable, he started rambling, he purposely spoke too fast for me to get his name (as most telemarketers/scammers do); but from reading the above information, I'm sure it was Matt Owens. He THEN identified himself as being a "part of the police department"......"something about taking children out to shop for Christmas...... and THEN needing money".....I said no - and he immediately hung up on ME. I blocked this number from my phone so it will not go through in the future. What's the deal with the DO NOT CALL list? Why does this number go through? I understand that the police, fire department, and political solicitations are exempt from this law (which personally I think is crap). But if this number is a scam what the heck?

Same story here but I am in public Safety and whe I told him so he hung up on me. I am passing this on to our solictation crime division. Maybe they can stop him.

gentleman calls recently and only say "matt owens 233-9833"...fop didn't seem to know him...think I got his address now though

Matt Owens called our office two days in a row asking for our boss by name.  I asked what the call was concerning and he wouldn't answer he just hung up.   He was very rude.

asked is this (llc's name) I said whats this about and he hung up.

Keeps calaling will not leave a message except his name "Mat Owens"

Matt Owens called our office to speak to my husband who is the doctor and was very rude and would not state what he was calling in reference to when I asked. He then said he had his mother on hold long distance and that he would call the doctor at home.

Matt owens called and tried to speak with the Dr. was rude and would not leave a message and advised that he would not tell us what he wanted, why he was calling or what business he was calling from.

Received a call from a Matt Owens.  Did not seem to want to leave any information.  He said he was with Public Safety.  He also said it was a private matter and that the person he was calling would know what it was concerning.
