Called my home and lkeft a nasty message and when I called them back a gentelman cussed me out.

Ms. Yelder from C&R Associates called asking for a man, who is my dad.  Gave me a case # and requested that I let him know that he needs to call them back.  I told them that I have  Power of Attorney for my dad and I handle his business.  She requested that I fax the POA to their office so they can disclose information.  I refused and asked if they were a collection agency.  She said that they weren't and it was regarding a legal matter.  I told them I was not comfortable faxing my personal documents to them.  She said that it was "on me" if my dad got sued.  I told them that if they were able to track down my number, they could track down his actual location and contact him.  At this point, she abruptly hung up on me.

Received call from this number with Yelder leaving message for Jack.  It is clear they have the wrong number and digging.  They wanted to speak with legal representative or Jack.  Very annoying tactics! I usually will give them my attorney's office number to call and this stops these ignorant bottom feeders.  I also let them know if I receive any future calls I will file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office in the state they operate.

yes she is a collector for the bottom feeders old debt collection company she calls for c&r assoc. and from your message below misrepresenting who she is (saying not a collector) amongst the other verbage she and others from that company use - she is violating the fdcpa and you need to report her/them to the ftc. they called here today for someone who said my number was his contact number. all bs. report them, refer them to your own atty. I know i am. they should be fined & put out of biz cuz they extort people!! and definately don't give them any personal info, just hang up!

This same exact thing happened to me... Mrs Yelder left a very "urgent" message for me regarding a family member she thought lived here, and asked that I get back to her "immediately".  This happened to three family members for the same person.  It is obviously a scam.  I will be reporting it to my state.

They called and asked for my father-in-law.  I told them they had the wrong number and then asked me if I knew him.  I said yea, he's my husband's father.  They said that he put me down as a contact number and that I needed to get him to call back immediately.  I was like...  I cannot do that; he doesn't have a phone.  They started to get snippy and I told them to not call me because I have nothing to do with his problems.  

I finally just hung up because it is annoying

May be a collection agency calling for someone who is not at this location/unknown. Do not know who it is, but female caller tends to be threatning and very aggressive. The calls are very annoying, and we can't help them with their issues.
