Everyday I get a robo call telling me that i would like to update my free internet business listing that I should press #1. I hang up every day and every day they still call.

The recorded message gives no option to opt out.  "Please press one to update your free Internet listing."

If this is true, we should be letting the hosting company know so they can shut them down.  I just did.  I hesitate to put the URL of the hosting company here without knowing how you tracked them down.  They just called me literally 20 times in a row.  I have them blocked, so they just call over and over again. Really tired of it.  I'll be reporting it on the FTC as well.

keep calling about credit cards, I tell them I am not interested and they keep calling.  This is driving me crazy.  The do not call list is not working, maybe if they would fine these people they would quit.

I just called them back and told them we're in a very small town and don't need online ads. The girl was very sweet and helpful and put our number on her DNC list.

It works with FIOS as well. But you still need to have a modem for computer (to intrepet the incoming calls)

Just had the call, or should say ring, also.  I don't understand how these scammers think anyone today would answer their calls even by continually change their numbers; so many complaints & even if anyone would talk with them, why they would furnish any private info or otherwise?  I have been in business for nearly 40 years and have found the past three to be difficult to be in business today; maybe the elections in Nov. will change that.  Receiving so many unwanted calls, I found the quickest way to keep my lines free is pick up, wait for the connect & immediately hang up; being robo-calls, by the time of the d****head comes on all they get is a dead line and can't leave a message only to have a legitimate call coming in going to mailbox while they are going through their spiel.

Whenever I get a message with "google" in the first five words, I HANG UP!  These are not google employees nor do they in any way represent google, they are just using the word to get your attention.  They are either marketeers or scammers.  Remember, everyone can be "affiliated with google" don't sucker for that line.  And don't give them the time of day, you are just giving them more information..they are trained to handle and extract information from you, they will let you think you are manipulating them, when it's the other way around.  This is their job!  Don't be naive!

They call even after being asked to stop.

They called - I pressed "BLOCK" on my Uniden phone.  Didn't even have to lift the receiver.

They can now call anytime they want.

My Uniden telephone does not even ring when a blocked call comes in - it simply light up for a few seconds.

I have blocked this person, but they keep calling.  I called back, got a Google voice message to leave my name.  No answer, left a message to tell them to quit calling.  Like that will work!  Someone needs to stop this person.
