I keep getting calls from a lady named Brandy looking for Robert Kennedy Jr.. You would think they could come up with a better fake name. I called back to ball them out for the umpteenth time to stop calling me and there is no person by that name in my household and a lady named Ashley picked up the phone. They must have caller I.D.because all I said was a lady named Brandy keeps calling my number asking for Robert Kennedy and they keep calling and I want it stopped and she proceeded to inform me that Brandy has not called since the 21st of December. I told her I did not care. She has been calling me for over a year. She said she put a double no call on the computer and I asked her how she knew who I was and where I was calling from and she hung up on me. I never gave her any info. I don't know who these people are, but I don't like it. When Ashley picked up the phone after it rang about 10 times, all she said was "Hello, can I help you"? she never announced a company name or anything. I can tell you guys it is not anything legit.

If I had to suspect, this is a debt collector. On this note, I concur with everyone else on the board. The representative that keeps calling me is a lady named Kristen. She mentioned a customer's name and some sort of "Foul" and needing to get his statement for legitimate documents and made reference to a Foul folder number starting with HP...  She tried to call me twice over the course of the last few days. This second time I decided to call her back. After several rings, another representative answered, named Tori. I asked to speak with Kristen. She placed me on hold for a moment. When she came back, she informed me that Kristen was on the other line trying to get a hold of "fill in with name of customer". She asked if this was an incorrect number. I advised that this was an incorrect # for that particular customer. She said that she would be sure the number would be taken off the list.

Someone is looking for a person who I used to date [over 10 years ago].  They also left a voice mail on my parents home phone.  I don't know how they got either of these two phones numbers.

I got a call from them asking for me. This wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't 19 years old have no debt/ loans not even a credit card for goodness sake!! I told them that and they still call! They wouldn't tell me the name of their company or anything.  I'm still in school and getting a call from them twice a day is really bothersome. Something you can do is send their calls directly to vm/ block the call completely. All I get is their vm and I delete it before I hear what they have to say. Has anyone tried the "National Do NOT Call Registry" 8883821222 does it work for this company?

The fact they call and don't give much information but threaten to turn over the account to their lawyers.... I called their bluff asked for their layers name, phone and fax the agent refused and said "We don't work like that, you send us the information we handle it from there". Hell she even said "well if you decide not to pay we will find a lawyer in your state to garnish your wages". This company has crooked tactics to get people to pay.

They are trying to imply a "lawsuit" even as they tip-toe around actually saying it.
That say's it's all BS, or they would have actually served you a summons.

The "collect a statement" is deceptive cover for illegal disclosure of some alleged "debt" to third parties (you), as part of threatening to embarass your father.

FDCPA requires that debt collectors send notice of alleged debts within 5 days of first contact, and that they accept disputes and obtain and send validation when requested.  BS aimed at evading their FDCPA obligations is an indicator of intentional deception, suggesting fraud.

It's a con.

There's a girl named Heather that keeps harrassing our phone number. She needs to be getting in contact with my ex boyfriend that caused all of the financial problems. She has been lighting up my home phone since Wednesday October 31. I will not respond to any of her correspondences, for I believe my ex-boyfriend is responsible.

I recieved a call from this company, same number; after they called both of my daughters, an ex-son-n-law who I don't like. They had the nerve to tell me good luck with the lawsuit they were bringing against me.  I say good luck to them for trying.

My roommates in the U.S. (I'm stationed overseas) are getting debt collection calls about my ex-wife (in 4 months it will have been a decade since we were together). Its some kind of financial recovery service calling wanting to send my ex a final statement about "the pending matter being processed."

This company just called today for a family member that lives in another state.  I'm not about to give out personal information to people that I don't know or won't identify themselves.  I'm hoping that this information will stop the phone calls.  i would hate for "my people" to get involved to take care of this.

Thanks.

Was so irate when posting this message I forgot to go back and remove the actual name asked for and replace it with a generic **.  I do believe the name is made up (as it doesn't even phonetically come close to anyone in our household), but still should have remembered to remove it before posting.

I have received repeated messages looking for "Chris Kendrick."  The number is my cell phone, which was at one time also a home phone number.  However, at no time in 21 years has the number belonged to anyone by that time.  And to our knowledge we have no relatives by that time.  The messages are increasingly threatening and definitely harassing in nature.  Additionally, the giving of a full name is a violation of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).  I've asked that my number be removed from their database, but I keep receiving calls.  I've now left messages on both their direct and toll-free numbers (757-392-2096 and 877-484-5455) indicating that they are in violation of the FDCPA, need to immediately remove my number from their database, and that I will be reporting them for their violations.  Hopefully that ends the matter.

I called them on their dime.  Told them the person they were looking for was a former tenant who owed me money also, and would they please not call me again until they found him so I could collect also.  Said they could not call me when the found my former tenant, but they would take my number off their list.  We shall see what happens.

a lot of times lenders have people with less than perfect credit fill out a list asking for 10-12 names of relatives or friends who will always know where you are.  My nephew with a used car business does this.  makes it easier to repo the car or get the late payments when you call a dozen different people and tell them that "Clarence did not pay his last two car notes.  He said you would vouch for him and know where he is."  Usually somebody on that list will get mad and tell the deadbeat to go make his payment.

This company though seems to be going after old debts, as much as a dozen years old.  a lot of bill collection companies buy these old debts for pennies on the dollar, or sometimes on a percentage basis do do the collection work.  if you collect a thousand dollars on a 5000 dollar debt, that is about 970 dollars profit.  that is why you see these letters offering to "settle" your old debt of say $1893.22 for $523.19 if you pay right now, when you know the debt is 15 years old

This company went as far as to call my Mom to ask for my husband and that she needed to speak to him about finishing filling out some papers. For when he called back to ask for Jessica at ex 373.  I guess this means they will call all our friends and everything just to get to us.  Heck I have done told them to go fly a kite that we had started filing for bankrupcy. excel  solutions  or something like that is the name of the company.

I wanted to inform you that I've contacted a lawyer regarding this phone number and company. They are a legitimate company; however the reason they keep harassing all of us is because no one will sue them. I am considering trying to start a class action lawsuit against this company.

It's not a HIPPA violation. HIPPA applies to the release of protected health care information. They have, however, violated third party disclosure under the FDCPA.

I received a call from phone number (757) 392-2096 also stating that their was a pending legal matter regarding my mother. They gave me a reference number and an extension to call. I googled their information and am not clear on why they are calling. Not sure if they changed their company name, but LAUREN (call rep) stated that is where she is calling from. I could not get any pertinent information from her, so I believe it to be some type of telemarketing scam. I have blocked the number from my phone and reported the company to the better business bureau in my state, if you are having the same experience you should do so also.

These people called from this number stating they were looking for a husband & wife team. They claim, this couple has a prelimary hearing and it would be in their best interest to return their call. I returned their call to discover they are dept collectors. The problem is they gave the man and womans first and last name. I thought that was a hippa violation.

Received a call from them on one of several Google Voice numbers that I have, most that haven't even been used yet. I thought my estranged wife was serving me with divorce papers the first time I heard the message. Didn't have time to return the call. Have missed their call each time they do call. What threw me off was that this "Jessica" kept leaving the almost exact same message each time. Like reading from a script, "preliminary documentation", "file scheduled for further processing", "opportunity to make a final statement" I mean how much more vague can they be. Glad I didn't answer, now I'll just let them tire themselves out.

"Yes this message is for Daniel D---------, My name is Jessica and I have left you several messages in regards to the preliminary documentation that I did receive here my office. It is pertaining to your file that is currently scheduled for further processing, and I wanted to ensure that you receive this message so I can give you the opportunity to make a final statement. If you could give me a return call. You can reach me directly at (757) 392-2096. When calling back in sir, be sure reference to your file number I. D. 8------4"

My guess is they are skip tracing, trying any number they can find with the same (or similar) last name in the hopes of locating someone that's knows the person they are looking for .. it's amazing how much data can be found on the web .. just search your own name, you'd be surprised!
