Called my number twice. Left no message. From the other posts, it looks like Tidewater.  I have 5 more payments with them through Rooms to Go.  Have never been late on payments.  I don't plan to call them back.

Caller states trying to reach "Purnell ______ (gives my first name)," calling to return the information that I REQUESTED??!! Um, no. Total scam, total nuisance.

I also received a call from this number. Left and name and co name. Called back because who they asked for was not someone @ my number. Very nice.

I have no dealings with this company and my call was a wrong number.

If you are late at ALL on your payments they will call you multiple times a day.
EVEN if you make a "payment arrangement" they still harass you.

They have been calling me everyday...literally! and they also have been calling my sister who has nothing whatsoever to do with the loan. I had just listed her as a reference...nightmare people! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If you want to buy furniture, pay cash unless you have perfect credit.

I just got a call from these people.  Thank you for submitting this originally.  I looked up the number while I was on the phone with them.  She told me she was with a company that garnishes wages. I asked her what company and she refused to tell me.  She was very persistent on asking whom our resident agent was.  I asked her if she was with Tidewater Credit and she sounded really surprised and said yes.  I asked her what a credit collection company has anything to do with garnishing wages and she said everything. At that point she had the nice/calm voice but very rude. (Make sense?)  

To anyone who gets calls from these people, just hang up.  There are other ways they can get the info if they really need it.

These people called my home so much I blocked the number. Now they are calling my cell phone and all they sau "it is urgent you call our office before 9pm". I dont even have any late fees as far as I know. This would have to eb something from way back. I dont wnat to call and them have me on tape. I am curious to find out, but I dont want to call. Someone said if you contact them the "cycle" can start all over again.

Received a call from this number asking for a Mr. Applewite saying he needed to inform them of his intentions about a Rooms to Go account.  I have had this cell number for 3 years, I am not Mr. Applewite and do not have a Rooms to Go account anymore - had one YEARS ago that is paid off.  I called back and explained and they insisted that I had to know Mr. Applewite.  Huh?  I firmly requested that they delete my number from their system but they kept telling me to ahve Mr. Applewite call them.  I gave up and hung up.  Let's see if they call again.

They called my phone...I called back...after phone rang about 20 times someone finally answered...they are some rude butt people...kept asking ME questions...before I was going to give any info...they finally said it was regarding my account>>>>didn't know what account...she didn't identify who they were...other that Tidewater Credit....still didn't ring a bell...she asked again a bunch of questions...again I asked who THEY were...finally...figured out it was for furniture payment for Value City....I have my account set up on recurring payments due on the 25th...never been late...she was rude and said calling about my payment....asked her why about my payment...not late and never has been....Nasty person there....I could understand if I hadn't MADE my payment...but dang...not even late and never has been...WTF

I received a call from this number and do not know who it was.

Tidewater called my work place today again.  After telling them last week not to call my place of work.  This lady named Mrs. Palma is the when I spoke with both times.  Guess what did??   She faxed an Employment Verification Form to my boss with my signature copied from the original contract and pasted at the bottom of the form.  And on top of that she must have called my work place to get my boss? name and fax number since information was never given to her in the first place.

So be careful with this company, they will do anything to if you can?t pay them.  I would still away from them at all cost.  Yes, they will approve your loan, but will make your life hell if you miss a payment.

We received a call from this number this morning, Friday, July 31, 2009.  It appeared as unknown # so we didn't answer.  Thanks for all the info about this number. We certainly won't EVER answer their calls.
