You are absolutely right!  There were some who called my sister and unfortunately, she did give them some money. I just wished she would have called me first.

I received a call from a Mr. Wright stating he has all my information.  Then he proceeded to call me the n word and tell me to shut the **** up.  I told him I would be reporting him to my attorney and that I would be contacting him.  I needed a quick loan but looks like whenever those companies are used online, it goes out to anyone and everyone.  As soon as I finish paying these off, I will not be using any other online lenders again!

Have threatened and harassed me when I ask them if I can help them they laugh and say help me you need help you low life running and stealing money.

got a call at work and told me id be arested at work in the morring and that they were going to call my work and tell them that i was a crimnal and that id be areseted in the morring

Answered the phone on the second ring, no one on the other end talked when I answered. The call went to voice mail and received the a voice mail saying I would go to jail if I did not not respond. For grins, tried calling back twice from another phone line, and the call was dropped twice. Definitely a SCAM and HARRASSMENT.

Calls and says i am being arrested, foreign accent. It is a scam and the b*****ds need to get a life and stay out of mine.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Called my cell and work number back to back.  Individual has a Indian accent.

This person is has an indian voice and call telling me I am going to get arrested and I am going to jail if I don't pay him. Not a clue what this person is talking about.  Harrassing me everyday.

I am so sick of these people calling me with the same line of crap...I have been getting these phone calls for 4 years now...always from different numbers but the same Indian speaking men on the phone.  They have been threatening to arrest me for 2 years...this is a joke and I wish we had some way of stopping it.  I have no idea how they got my personal information.  They call my work but I have everyone trained here to tell them I no longer work there haha...they use cell phones and they are not calling from America.  I have a feeling that some company I had a loan with - car loan, mortgage, etc might have had a data breach of some sort...IDK but it is really annoying...I am thinking about just changing my cell phone number

Keeps calling and harrassing me

Started to swear at me and use racial slurs.

This gentleman started harrassing me and said that he was from the law and I was being served. He would not listen when I asked him not to resond back to me and to be frank I have no clue how he got my work number!
Anyone that knows anything about the law knows this is a total scam!!!

it is a scam

Some non-English speaking man keeps calling saying I owe money that I do not owe and harrasses the people I work with when they tell him to stop calling. Calls back repeatedly when hung up on. Called back over a dozen times in a row.

They call me at work everyday and tell whom ever answers the phone that I am being served and that they will be here any minute, so now everyone I work with thinks I owe someone money and won't pay. Each call says I have been warned.

This is a scam. Called saying I owe money and if I don't return the call all they can do is wish me good luck.
