Just heard my voicemail and some guy that doesn't even know how to speak english kind of threatend if I or my attorney don't call him back the only thing he could do is 'wish me luck'...

I received a phone message at 7:58am this morning from a woman with Indian accent. She said that I should return call or my lawyer. If we do not call back I will be sorry and she ended call by telling me I BETTER return call.

Business do cal call and tell you that you BETTER return call.

This was very annoying and disturbing to receive first thing in morning before going to work.

I do not have company name because she did not leave and I am not calling that RUDE woman back.

These people call me more that 7 times a day on my work line and also leave messages at my job.  At this point this is harrassment and I would like to take legal action.  They all have american names, (the last was jack rodgers who called me three times within 15 minutes).  I will not be threatened for something that i have no idea about and again am looking to take legal action. they are rude and need to be dealt with.

this person has been calling and harassing me for several days now claiming to try and get me arrested or charged with theft by taking. he calls himself brian forman. and claims to be a lawyer. he says that i took 698.00, money that i know nothing about. of course i can prove nothing has been sent to my address or bank account. but the harrassment needs to stop. i have informed the police and also blocked the calls, changed my e-mail and fb accounts. what else can i do ?

I received a call from the same number. By an person witha very strong indian accent. I could barely understand the message he left but if myself or my attorney did not return his call I would be in very deep trouble and all he could do was wish me luck. how do I know if this is legit or should I just disregard?

Same call from same number. Said his name was barry. LOL. Barry my you know what. Has pushed my wife around and won't answer the phone now. Tomorrow is another day. Revenge is so sweet! For all of you that choose not to call, as soon as I talk to Barry, you won't need to worry about your piece of mind.

Guy calling saying a federal legal matter is in my name and last four of social. Couldnt understand a word this guy was saying and asked to speak with someone who speaks clear english and I was called an a***ole. Does anyone know what I can do to or who to call to handle this matter????

I received a call yesterday the number came up 0000 that was all he kept threatening me he told me to have my attorney to call this number I called and gave the number to the Attorney General's Office in the State of WV he told me at the end if I didn't comply good luck I kept hanging up he kept calling back and this was on my work number this is getting very bad he hadn't called in a month or so now he is back at it I can't keep getting these calls at work and I can't stop them if anybody has any suggestions please let me know.

Thank you for responding. I have only received this once so far. One at home and one at work. They said the same thing but his name was I think Addy Brown. Cant understand the first name. I guess this was on the news in our state this morning. I feel alot better now. I was scared to death all weekend. Ugh

I have received the same phone call from this thick accented fraud several times in the past few weeks. I spoke to him ONLY once (he said his name was Mike Johnson) and he said he was from a payday company and that my fraud was so bad that i had to speak to his supervisor. The "supervisor" gets on the phone and says his name is Mike Johnson too. I already knew something was up then. He told me he was from the CAlifornia Department of something or other and that I owed US Cash Advance. I said i never loaned from this company and he said he represented 200 payday loan companies. I asked him to put in writing the exact debt i owed and to what company and he said he couldnt do that because it was an online loan. I proceeded to ask him why not since every online payday loan i have ever receievd has provided me with paper documentation to print after being approved. He then proceeded to say "so are you saying you acknowledge that you owe us?" and i said "NO i don't even know what company you are representing." After this ridiculousness that he couldnt' even tell me what company I actualled owed, I  hung up and have not answered the phone since. This is a total scam. I found "US Cash Advance" scam all over the internet. They use all different #'s. Just got the 760 one this morning.

I received this same phone call on Friday telling me all the same things everyone above has said. I have to say I am scared to death. Is this really a scam? What do I do?

Same guy has called my 85 yo mothers cell multiple times and left a message for Connie Washington, whoever that is, telling her to pay up or "good luck."

Well I got those calls as well and just for your information I do speak fluent arabic that was not arabic accent .. it was indian or jamaican . I would like to add something . People who speak arabic they do speak it with british accent because we do study that in school from the 1st grade all the way to the last day of collage and 99.9% of us go to collage . so it sounded a little attacky way when you said arabic accent .

My son got a call from this number while he was at work .... He called me and asked for help.

The NON ENGLISH SPEAKING  INDIVIDUAL said he was a paralegal and that criminal charges were pending.

I called the number and asked for a female ... the Non English Speaking Individual.. said "who you want" and I asked if this was 237 4614 and he said "oh yes thats the number what you need"  and I played dumb and asked who I had contacted.

I never got a full corporate name or identification but all I got was "dis a attorney office"

We need to contact the California Atty General and go that route ... don't let the Non English Speaking Individuals win

I frequently get these calls from the 760-273-4614 number with the same "cash advance fraud" script. When I first did, I have to admit, it scared me to death. But it did not take much research on my end to identify the scam. So now, I call the number back whenever I have free time and harass them. I recommend it to anyone else that has been wronged by these awful scam artists.

So, yes i rcvd a call on my cell 2day during my lunch.  The person (had an accent too) and he said he was calling from da legal dept and he was rushing asking for my lawyer's name.  I asked what he needed, and he said i have a case in re to my ssn.  I asked how they got my number, and he said its bcause i have a case.  He gave me their number 760-273-4614.  So i rtn the call, and spoke with someone.  This person said that i have a case, so i said i have no idea about any of this.  He said there is an affidavit for me on 3 counts of cash advance fraud.  Their client, cash advance dd my cash advance, nd now they are unable to get their money back because i committed cash advance fraud by providing the wrong information.  I should be getting a summons from the sheriff for my case 1/28/11.  Then a couple of hours later, i rcvd another call, and this time the man with an accent said he is something Smith from the legal dept and i should call  their front desk to speak to the lawyer.  Then I said to spell his name, and he didn't understand what i was saying.

I received a call from the same number at my job. im just worried that i could lose my job over them calling. is there any way that i can get them to stop calling there?

I got this phone call 2 dys in a row. An aquaintence called me to inform me that this person was calling for me I called the 760-273-4614 number back and all I kepT getting was his vmail. He left me a voicemail stating that he was with the dept of federal law and its a case against me involving my social number! This person is a fraud and obviously running a scam. DO NOT CONTACT HIM OR GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!!! DONT BE A VICTIM!!!

i told caller co-worker was not available for phone calls and asked caller not to call again
caller said legal action against co-workers social security number pending and rudely insisted i get co-worker on the call

I started getting these calls last January. A year of stupid phone calls. At first I was terrified, I did report the calls to the attorney general and the fbi and the local police so there would be some kind of record. i have no loans...i refuse tro have a debit or credit card. I get to work this morning and there is a message on my work voicemail from Eric Wilson at ext 3131 from the Federal Law Department. I don't have a clue how they got my work number, but I am not happy! I have reported them to authorites multiiple times, and they don't go away. The irony is that I work with Law Enforcement.

Thank you for this information because I keep getting these calls and now I'm tired of it. This time they got my work number.
