Same heavy accent indian guy left msgs on both my work and cell phone,  and it scared me so I called back several times but there's no answer and it said no mssgs could be left.

I just got the same call.   I asked info and he wouldn't give it to me.  He said that an officer will be coming to pick me up if I don't show up at the court date this Friday.   He wouldn't give me any information until I listened to an affidavit and I never did give him the chance to read it to me.  I told him I didn't believe him and he said I would believe him when the officer shows up at my door.  Hmmmm.  what?  lol.

How stupid do they think I am or anyone?  I received a call on my cell and at work last week from 5592855337, law office of california stating that I needed my attorney to call them concerning an urgent matter and if I didn't call back they would have me arrested to appear in court Monday that would cost me 8484.00 or I can pay 987 and be free of the debt.  All I had to do was fax an authorization with my cc info and DL to their fax.  I faxed an unsigned letter and license that could not be read to postpone this while I checked it out.  They called the next morning at work, demanding a signed letter to complete the process.  I asked them to send me the documentation to show that this was mine and they said 8-10 days after payment clears.  I told them that since they were supposely an attorney's office, they could fax it to me and then I would pay if mine, Brian King and John Andrews (I think), same foreign person, would not do that and refused to let me talk to the attorney, or give me their physical address.  I informed them that I contacted my state attorney general's office, local da, fraud dept and police.  They threatened to have me arrested, I kept repeating, send me the documentation and we will go from there.  I finally did ask when was this deposit made and he gave me date, I told him I would call back in about 10 minutes since I was at work.  I called my bank and there was no deposit made on or around the date in question.  I did not call them back.  

Today, same guy, different number and name James Conner, calls my cell and work, did not talk to him.  About 2 hours later, an Alec ? from the Federal Fraud Investigation at 7602841401 called my cell and said that I was going to be arrested at home or work and to call to tell them where I would like to be picked up and to verify my address.  If they have my address, why do I need to verify and the police does not call to inform you that they will be arresting you. Within 15 minutes, same guy calls work, claiming to be Mike Tyson, gave 2 different badge numbers with Federal Government at 7602841401and same speech, he called back within 15 minutes and name was Roger Jackson with National Government Police and same number and same speech.  I did not call any of them back. The same number called my cell tonight but did not leave a message.  

The local police said not to worry, it was a scam and not to send any information or pay and since the scammers said that have my banking information to cancel cc and account.

I have 5 of these messages recorded and I will be contacting my local police again and the FBI.

This just happened to me. I just paid a settlement to a loan company. Thirty days ago and out of the blue today i received a phone call saying that i owed the loan place $1,000.00 and if I didn't pay that they send the cops to my door and i would be paying $8,000.00 for attorney fees and court costs. If you receive this number ignore and just enjoy your day. These fags need a job and tell them to kiss your tail and leave it be!! Enjoy your day!!

I have been receiving calls from this number also. 7602841401 screaming at me about wanting money. I have reported them to the attorney general office.

Got a call from this number, Indian guy was on the line claiming to be a sheriff named Eric Warren.  Made the same threats as explained by others.  When asked what Sheriff department he was from he stated "Law Group of California."  Unbelievable!

Same thing; Indian or Middle Eastern accent threatening to sue me over a debt. Represented a law firm based out of California and it grew tiresome requesting information that they could not present.  All scam for scum!

these people are total idoits. they have called me at work and on my cell phone. i have contacted my lawyer and the local authorites. they did stop for awhile but now have started back. they will scare you to death but i have just starting hitting the ignore button

I keep getting calls from an "Indian speaking guy" almost everyday at my job and on my cell phone!! He uses and American sounding name for exampl" Ben Johnon or Charlie Parker LOL! Seriously DO NOT ANSWER YOUR PHONE AT ALL FOR ANY NUMBER FROM 760-624-8675 OR MARKED UNKNOWN OR MARKED AS THE #1!!! They call and ask for you by name and then state that they are calling from Federal Credit Law firm or attorny's office! BULL****!!! He keeps repeating that I am being Sued by someone for an unpaid loan!  I have loan's and bills like everyone else but I am not behind on any of them at this time!! This is crazy and nothing but a SCAM, SCAMMERS, RAGGETY BAS#$@*$.... THEY NEED TO QUIT BEFORE I SUE THEM!!!!!! Will be calling the FBI and other legal agencies to report them.  :  )

OMG!  I received this threatening call from 760-483-3146 - Jack Lawson - Law Group of California.  They had all my information and said everything below that you stated!  Let me tell you, I was a reck because I do have out pay day loans but I have never ever defaulted on them.  He told me I had to come up with 1039.000???  But he would take $500.00 as a down payment and I could pay the rest in February.  This is total B#SHT!  I am sooo glad I investigated this when I went home and so glad that people like you have made these postings!!!!  Thank you!!!!

When these jag-offs call tell them you will want a copy of the loan report that is public records.  Tell them they will expect a call from your attorney as you plan to counter sue due to defamation of character and exhorting money.

I got the same call about 3 hours ago. It almost hade me convinced. Then I decided to look the number up on line and I saw all of your post. They told me the exact same thing, that if i dont pay I would go to jail. Somehow they even got the number to my job and called my job. I then called the local police department and they instructed me to the attorney generals office. I even called the number back and told them that I knew it was a scam and I have reported them. They immediately hung up on me. Please do not fall for this scam and give these a---holes your information. Because it is definately a fraud!!!!!!!

This persons just called me and I am upset, The guy had a indian voice and was overtalking me, when he got loud I asked to speak with another person and he told me no! I said I have the right to speak to another person? He said you have no rights thats when I knew this was a joke, come on! I got the same call today 11-19-10 and they said the same time to me, and i was crazy scared because I have had pd loans but they are paid, and it was from Law group of California parilegal Braden Watson or Dewayne Johnson or Michael Thomas, they gave me a ref# but had no cash # so I called my family member at the court house to help me out, wow

EXACTLY what was said to me when I received a call from this number. I reported them and was told they have thousands of people call in about this scam. I called them and told them that I was at my local police department and had reported them, they got scared and hung up.

Today I had the crap scared out of me. I got a call from these people saying all this same stuff. They called me at work first and the man identified himself as Officer Daniel Cox.  Then he left me a message on my voice mail. I copied and pasted from a previous post because it was word for word what the guy said to voice mail: "This message is intended for "Name" and the second that you receive this message, I need you to return the call.  The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive.  My name is Chris Williams.  The phone number to my division is 760-284-1401, I repeat that's 760-284-1401.  Don't disregard this message. Return the call.  Now if you don't return the call or I don't hear from you either, the only thing I can do is wish you luck.  As the situation unfolds on you.  Good bye". The only difference was he said his name was Daniel Cox. I was pretty freaked since the message he left at work said he was OFFICER Daniel Cox. I called them back and I got transfered to Adam Woods (pretty sure it was the same person). They gave me the whole "you owe US Cash Advance money" spiel. They were going to be filing criminal charges against me. They said that on the loan, I owed $979 and that the only way to avoid criminal charges was to pay a minimum of $300 today and the rest next week. I told them I didn't have it and they insisted that I try to get someone to lend me the money. I told them I would call them back.
I then googled the number and the place they said they were calling for and started seeing a lot of scam complaints. I then called the FTC and filed a complaint and my state's Attorney General. Both said it was a scam. I tried calling them back like I said I would. I called this number back and it was busy. I then tried to call the number that actually showed up on my caller id. I got a Google voice mail box. They called me back and I told him about what I discovered about them. He then said that if I didn't settle with them today, I would have to pay $8000 in court and legal fees. Originally they said it was $5000. I called him on that and told him that he needed to send me paperwork that states everything he was telling me. He said I had to wait for the subpoena and that would be the paper work. I told him he keeps changing what he's telling me and I'd rather deal with the court system. He said I just didn't listen to him...that's when I started yelling. I said that I was going to wait for the subpoena. He said fine he'll see me in court on Friday.

Now, the only reason I believed any of this to begin with is I do have a loan with a cash advance company. It does contain the word "US" in the company's name. What really sealed for me that this was a scam is that the company that I ACTUALLY had the loan through called me while I was on the phone with these idiots. I am SO glad I didn't give them any information other than what they had.

This call was for my cousin who was using my number at the time. He claimes his name is Allan Russel and he was VERY FORCEFUL! He said if my cousin did not return his call then all he could do is wish luck to her because all of this would come crashing down on her; however, he never specified what the "This" was. In my opinion, this is a scam, because my cousin is just starting out on her own, doesn't own credit card, in school, with good grades, and living in the dorms. What crime has she committed? All I can say is don't give any info to these people, WHATSOEVER, all this is easily and simply a scare tactics to get you caught up! PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR IT!

i recieved a call from Jack Lawson "Law Group of California" this afternoon... i was charged with: theft by deception, federal check fraud, and violation of federal banking neogations.  these charges are b***s*** i have never had a payday loans and was shocked when i recieved this call.  thanks to this and other websites i have learned more about this company and now heading to local law enforcement to resolve this "Heavy Indian Acient Dude" from calling me..i hope this helps others that are concerned like i was and that these people get caught becuz this is b***s***...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
