Ok, "Anonymous", I wonder why you won't post your name. You have balls to say that to people, but are scared to even say your name...when no one will ever even know who you are even if you DO say your name.

We have no relation with Capital One, no credit card (period, we don't do Credit Cards anymore), nothing. Sooooo....glad you are paying your bill, we have no such bill to pay.

My 8 year old daughter gets voice mails from this "company" at least once per day. She has since the first day she got her cell phone.

Before you "bash" about an 8 year old having a cell phone. She doesn't carry it around, take it to school, or anything. It's for the very RARE time when I want her to be able to call me if I am not directly available. It cost me $0 to get and is cheaper than the dinky "kiddie" phones out there. It also has parental blocks so she can't do much on the phone. No, I don't think all 8, 9, 10, or even 11 or 12 year olds should have cell phones. Yes, mine does, but you don't know or need the info. Has no relevance to this posting...but I know there are those "Anonymous" people out there who would feel the need to go off. :)

You just need to know that we have NO relationship to Capital One, never have. And they should NOT be calling my 8 year old. Her phone is blocked, so her phone doesn't even ring when they "call", but the calls can leave voice messages. I recently added her number to to "do not call" registry...hoping that after 22 more days...it will stop. :)

If you go on HLN on the Clark Howard section, he teaches you how to write a letter to your cc companies. By law, they will not be allowed to contact you again. I was unemployed for three months and my phone rang off the hook. I have  a job again so I'm okay now! Thank God.

because they outsourced their call centers to southeast asia.  y'know, if capital one called me and offered a job in a call center i'd consider taking it, right after i got done sucking on the business end of a shotgun.

well, I'm certainly glad you are in a position to pay your bills on time, if at all. MOST of us aren't, I stopped paying them because for 1 I can't and 2 they screwed me, now it's (no)pay back time.
Capital One is the worst CC company of them all. They are fraudulent and need to expire.

I told them once that I wanted to speak to someone that speaks "Clear, fluent English because I DON'T want to think about what you are trying to say", I didn't hear from them for a week.
They then called my business and I told them that they (someone from India) were violating Federal law by calling me at work, she didn't understand so I recited the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act), they stopped calling me at work but now call my cell phone relentlessly.

They say they are Capitol One but they are NOT. This is a phishing scam.
I've been called by the real Capitol One before and they NEVER ask for my card# because they already know it.
Now these people are calling my Mom and she doesn't even have a Capitol One card.
As a rule, you should NEVER give personal info to anyone that calls you. Better yet, if you don't recognize the number, DON'T ANSWER! Make them leave a message.

Sadly, I am in the same boat as a lot of people on here. My husband and I both became unemployed this year. Now, like most people, we can't afford to pay our credit card payments. I get calls everyday from 8am-9pm! I ignore the calls because I know they want me to make payment arrangements or pay the entire balance due. It's frustrating to hear people's attitudes on here, passing judgment and saying things like... "think before you get credit cards" and "pay your bills". I have faithfully paid my bills in the past and would be still if I could afford to but I can't! I don't think anyone could have predicted, when they applied for credit cards, that one day the economy would get so bad, they'd lose their job and be unable to pay their bills. I really wish people would stop passing judgment on others and just put useful information on here.

Change your VMX message to number only no names. Next time they call answer the phone do not get mad be professional even if they are not. DO NOT IDENTIFY YOURSELF! When you answer the phone ask what company they are calling from, and get the name of the caller. Say ok old on, take a breath and say (linda or whatever the a holes name is) I have to inform you this call is now being recorded. It doesnt matter what they say if anything at this point stay calm keep speaking clearly and firmly. "this is a wrong number and (linda or whatever the a holes name is) I do not wish to be contacted again! They will ask you to confirm the phone cooperate it works again do not give your name. I dont pay my bills and i dont care f the credit card companies the already wrote the debt off as a loss anyway.

PS dont respond to me I wont be back to this site ever. F the credit card companies and Merry Christmas its about family not gifts Peace love and Happiness

listen retard, some people cant help that they cant pay their bills. its easy for someone on their bosses pee pee who didnt have the unfortunate situation as to lose their job to other countries..  some of us were never late a day in our lives until we lost our jobs, and there is no end in site.. employers are taking advantage of the economy and trying to swindle workers into working for pennies or working for hourly wages people made over 10 yrs ago. when you made 75g's last year and the only jobs that are available are 12 dollar an hour high school student summer jobs, thats a problem. it would cost us money to work for someone for those obscene amounts of money.. imagine paying your employer to work for them.. that is what is happening in this country right now. the little guy gets screwed even harder while the ceo's and vp's bank even more money than they did before and they are being allowed to get away with it.

I know people with college degrees and 20 yrs active duty military experience that cant get jobs, because no one wants to pay them what they are worth.. same goes for me. no one wants to afford people like me.. so they get the people that 12 dollars an hour is a raise for them and hire them instead. and bank the rest and go on their trips and make their escalade payments. while the rest of the country starves.

so capital one can keep on calling for all i care, credit card companys and their what should be illegal methods are part of the reason this country is going down the tubes. if there was a cap put on interest rates long time ago rather than allowing these companys to charge the little guy 30% interest, just because you had a few problems in life ie losing a job, so not only do you get screwed fro losing your job you get charged more money for not having a job.. how backwards is this country.. makes zero sense to me.. how about charge the people who have the money who dont need the credit.. now that makes more sense to me.  thats like taxing the single guy or girl more than the person with 5 kids... so the people with tons of kids are making more money while costing the country more money.. how does that makes sense...  i chose not to nock some girl up and get s*** on for it... the people that are not responsible and have 5 babies daddys get rewarded in this country.

think before you speak you retard.. just because someone isnt paying their bills doesnt mean they are sitting at home throwing a party saying screw paying my bills im a loser.

more than likely they would if they could. wait till you lose your job because your company sends your position over seas to make more money for them and you find yourself sitting on the couche because you cant afford gas in your car to even go buy a gallon of milk.  I pray that day comes for you, maybe then we can make fun of you for not paying your bills and call you a loser.

Linda can shove her phone up her a**.  I am so sick and tired of being ripped off.  Capital One is the worst credit card to deal with.  Stay away from them no matter how desperate you are.  They harrass you even when you are not late.  And when you are late the fees are outrageous and should be stopped.  We need congress to stop taking vacations and stop the credit card companies from doing this before we all need bailed out.

Guess what?  I get 15 calls a day from these numbers and you know what?  I havent paid my bill since Feb 09 cause I lost my job.  Do I expect it?  Yes.  Is it annoying?  Damn straight but I wont be sitting here name calling or trying to deny existence of a debt.  When I can pay my bill I will call them myself from the number on my statement, so who cares if its a scam anyway.  Use your own best judgment and above all THINK.  No one cares that you get a phone call from them and you dont have an account with them, do something about it other than bi*** about it.  Check all the other numbers here and see everyone bi*** bi*** bi***.

Listen people, while you all complain, the reality is they are only calling because you are late, overlimit, etc...  Pay your bills and you won't get these calls.  I admit that i got one of these phone calls, searched the net and realized it was Cap 1.  My response was oh crap, I am two weeks late and completely forgot to pay the bill.  Guess what, I paid it and they never called again.

Suddenly getting calls - again...new numbers but just started yesterday.  For a while I seemed to have extricated myself from unwanted callers.
I am a Cap One customer, but find that either they or fraudulent phishing scams call at all hours with no relationship to my accounts in any way.

Want a real conspiracy theory for the 21st century?  Someone is making money from generating charges on our cell phones.  It is like dragging people in off the sidewalk, forcing them to eat at one's restaurant, and then forcing them to pay the bill.

Maybe I am just losing my cool in this overwrought world!
