there is nothing to work with, this is a scam DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY OR EXCHANGE ANY FINANCIAL INFORMATION. Debt collectors CAN NOT arrest you over a debt, they can ONLY gain a judgement against you IF they in fact own a debt in your name. Tell them to send you proof of ownership of the debt to a PO Box or other address (you don't want them to know you're exact address if they don't already) and until then they are not to contact you, in the mean time the cease and desist letter is a good idea, although I didn't have to send one all I had to do was threaten that I would and then report them to authorites for perpetrating a fraud and pretending to be a federal office. By the way I am a paralegal and I've been dealing with these types of scams for 10 years.

Yes this is a SCAM! i went online last week to fil out a few pay day offers and then i get a call saying that i have a $5k loan approval the first red flag was the fact that my credit is horrible and that was a large limit! The second thing was the guy tells me to go to western uinion and then send them $400 and they would send it right back. But their company does not worry about paperwork so just send the money and then they will send me it back plus the 5k. I started to laugh uncontrollably and began to tell him i was born at night but not last night. Now i wake up this morning to a flood of calls and then this guy answers the phone and says he is from "THE STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE" so  asked him what state he could not answer i am no idiot by far so i let him have it! He of course like the first person i spoke with about the western union got very upset i put them in their place then hung up! dont EVER say the wod YES as it is a trap to cut and paste recordings! Do not give your bank info at all! I am now reporting them to the state attorneys office it is a felony to inpersonate an government agency.

These idiots called me telling me if I have an attorney, I told yes, he tells me do you want to know your charges, I told him what are they, he tells me the state attorneys office has a warrant for my arrest for money I stole and didn't repay, funny thing I have no money in bank and Sara Wood should sound english from California not Indian.

I received the same call today and last year. It is a SCAM!!!

This number has been calling my personal cell phone, my parents' home and my boss's desk for well over two weeks now. I applied for a few payday loans, and that's when all of this craziness started. It's a scam!!

Early today got a call from Rebecca Brown, who spoke with a dilect I could not determine where she was from overseas, told me to call 7603356956 to prevent legal action  Yesterday I got a call from a guy name Joel offering me a 8000 dollar loan.  Both are cons so beware

I too have been receiving these harrassing calls they call my cell phone several times a day (which I never answer) Then call my work and a man claiming to be John Watson( a man with a thick Indian accent) says I need to call Attorney Kevin Peterson at the same number he isa calling from because Federal Charges are going to be filed against me. I then googled the number to see that there are several complaints in connection with this number. At that point I filed a complaint with the FCC and FTC. I called the number back and when I called he asked for my lawyers number. I said to them I work for a law firm which is clearly stated when they call my work. I told this John Watson charcter to stop calling my numbers if there are indeed charges being filed against me I should be receiving a Subpeona or a warrent for my arrest ( the may was speaking in a sarcastic tone oh ya a subpeona huh) I also informed him that I had filed a complaint with the FCC and FTC and if I received anymore phone calls I will be filing a report with my local police department and the FBI. The man called me a bi*** and hung up. I have not received any calls from them yet today so i'm hoping that worked. I suggest you do the same to stop these idiots.

I just called back the number after several calls from different numbers over the last week. I recorded the conversation and have been in touch with my lawyer because I have been continually harrassed. I am deeply offended at this point and am considering going straight to the courthouse and reporting it. Todays conversation went something like this....Reminder.. I recorded the conversation.

"Kevin"- I will take your number off the list, but I can not promise I wont call again *mocking laughs*
Me- May I speak to your supervisor?
Kevin-I bought your information and I am attempting to scam you. Do you think I have a legitimate supervisor?"*more laughs*

Kevin- Hey, let me tell you something, bi***! I dont care who you talk to...I have heard this a thousand times and nothing has happened.
Me- You are obviously not americans and It is a damn shame that you are calling into America to scam money from us instead of getting a legitimate job.

I hung up after that. I am so offended.. Who do these people think they are... I am a good person and work hard everyday...I love my country and I hate what he said...I really hope reporting this will get somewhere....I want justice to be served to an obvious terrorist/terrorist supporter...

I have been getting calls for weeks, from this number and an unavailable number, saying the same thing!  Saying I have 3 complaints against me, and if I don't contact them today I will be arrested at work, they are a** holes!!  I tried to work with them, but I asked for them to mail me something with the comany name and all the information of what they were talking about, i was told they do not mail anything out, nothing is done by mail, its just rediculous!  I then asked if they would send me receipts for payments if I arranged a payment plan, was told they will not mail receipts, they can only give me a comfirmation number by phone, all payments are made over the phone.  I spoke to an attorney, who told me that if they cannot proide me with a mailing address, a bill, a statement or receipts, they are a complete SCAM!    They are calling me at work, I told them to stop calling, because they are supposed to stop calling you at your place of work, if requested, they did stop for about 2 weeks, then changed the name of their company and started calling me again at work, I'm so frustrated with these idiots!  They called my work weeks ago, and I answered and pretended not to be me, they actually asked to speak to my boss, saying they were sending the police to my work to arrest me on bank fraud charges, I told them to go right aheand and send them, they said ok they'll be there in 30 minutes, that was 3 weeks ago, still no police here!!  They are leaving me threatening messages on my cell, saying this is my last chance, been sying that for weeks too.  Yesterday I called and asked for a an address to mail a payment (lie)  they said they don't accept payments by mail, so I said can I stil have your ompany address, she didn't say anything, then I said do you een have a physical address, she put me on hold for 10 minutes and came back with a PO box in Redding CA, I sent them a cease and desist letter, which said they were not to contact me unless it's by USPS, and that I have the right to request a statement from them with company name and address, along with a description of why they are contacting , and if requested they must comply, this is what the attorney told me to do.

These dudes just called me 3x "jack calvin" with a very threatening message....after reading these posts I called them back and told them the number has been reported...the conversations were recorded by state police and to never call me again......

Reasons these lowlife scammers try to get your SSN include (1) that it can be used to file a false income tax return to have a refund sent to them instead of you, and (2) that it can be used to fake someone's U.S. citizenship when an otherwise undocumented alien applies for a job in the U.S. In the latter case, you could be stuck with a big tax bill for the income the person using the SSN gets illegally.

Furthermore, the IRS itself says "Do not give a business, or anyone else, your Social Security number just because they ask; always challenge the request." Obviously, this includes people who call you out of the blue on the telephone.

I got a voicemail from a lady with a thick indian accent, then my supervisor called and told me that a state attorney just called her asking about me,so now I'm curious as to whats this all about.So I call this number and a guy with a foreign accent answers the phone as soon as I start asking questions, he tells me to shut the hell up and let him talk or he will hang up the f--king phone, really?As he is ending the conversation he tells me the sheriff will be at my job and hangs up. I called back and all I got was a beep.I called Check Advance and they told me they dont ever send people out to lock you up, just to court. These people need to get a real job!

Si I got 7 calls from these people today and I called the number back andasked what the call was regarding, the guy tried to verify my ss# and asked if it was correct. I said "maybe". The guy was like" What do you mean Maybe?" I said "Just like I said maybe mf cant you hear" He then said he was sending the sherriff to my job to arrest me in an hour. While I was on the phone with him, I got a call from 911, really! The lady was like" this is Officer Brandon and you cursed at an attorney", I was like" So, B I will curse at you too" She said "they were on their way", I said "Come on, and if you are not here in an hour I will call you back to see where you are" Lol I can't wait for this hour to go by so I can call and harrass them!

760-335-6956 has been calling me and making threats about 3 criminal charges aainst me in the state of CA funny thing is when I told him I had no thing in CA and to shut his damn mouth and let me talk he said yes sir and remained quite  when I finished going off on him he said f you and hung up bunch of dirty rag heads.

I also recieved 6 calls fom this number in the matter of 10 minutes.  I didn't answer the first time so i was listening to the message when they kept calling back.  when i did answer the indian guy started getting super mad at me because i was questioning him.  i asked to talk to a manager and he told me to call back a certain number.  it was the same number he was calling from so i asked him to transfer me and he told me that was not his job and that i had to call back.... threatened to send the sheriff to my house.etc.  i told him please do because i was going to report them to the police and he got mad and hung up.  then called me right back and asked if i wanted to resolve this or not.  he also called yesterday from a different # 818-394-0373 and was saying the same exact thing....huge SCAM.... i told him it was a scam and he started cursing me out.....

Glad to see that I am obviously not the only one.  Same things have happened to me; it is an Indian(?) woman calling and saying her name is Sarah Wood, and that either me or my attorney must call her back ASAP. Ends voice mail by saying if I do not hear back, then good luck to you because you will be facing very serious criminal charges.  THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!

I applied for a loan at cash. Advance. Yes gave them all my info. Bank. Accoun. Ss number. Home address? They called several times today saying sheriff is coming to my address and arresting me on three crimes. Fraud .theif and another. Anyhowthe sheriff is to take me to the court house .then I will go tojail. Ikept calling them demanding info how much I'm suppost to owe.1.200 . They put itin my account last week. Hum. Just did it two days ago. And my account is now minus. So I will have t close this. But found out. Michael johnson. Is his american name but his acent is iraaq... anyhow says he is the big boss. He is the attorney. I'm suppost to talk with him at nine am.      And he actually thinks I'm paying him for something I never got... said what did u spend it.
