I just got a call this time from a caller with an accent named John Bennett and stated he was from an Attorney's office taking the overflow of the calls. I was told for myself or my Attorney to return this call and if I didn't he wishes me Good Luck as my situation unfolds on me. First he said his name is John when he answered the phone then he changed his name to Steve Richards. We called him back even though we read what you wrote and he was mocking me on every word I said. He said my Moms name and my friends name and asked for my Attorney and said he could only talk to him. We are calling our local Police Dept and see what we can do.

2 weeks ago a message was left on my cell phone stated that I needed to have my attorney contact them for a very serious time sensative matter.  When I returned the call, a person answered by just saying hello. I asked for the company's name and was told American Federal Department.  I asked what business they are in and I was asked why did I need to know that.  I told them that I had a right to know who was leaving messages for my attorney to call them.  I was told they are a debt collection agency.  I asked who was this alleged debt to and was asked again why I needed that information.  I said that it is my right to know who is allegeging I owe them money.  I was told Pay Cash Now or something to that affect.  I asked how much do they say I owe and for what reason. I was again asked why did I need to know that. I stated it is my right as an American citizen to know.  I was told I didn't repay a payment of $300.  I asked when this alleged loan took place and all the person could tell me was 2010.  I told the person I never borrowed $300 from anyone and I that I wanted to receive documentation in writing in the mail of what he was stating. i was told that I would receive everything I needed when I go to court and then the person hung up on me.  I called back 3 times only to be told that I will get what I need in court and then being hung up on.  The 4th time I called back the voicemail picked up so I left a message stating that this sounds like extortion and that I was going to report them to the BBB and look into reporting them to the Attorney General's Office of their state because what they were doing is illegal and to not call me again.

Wow.  I just got a call from "Mike Williams" with a strong Indian accent  as well saying he wished me well as the situation unfolds, and not to ignore the call.  Do I owe money to some places, sure, but I at least want to know exactly who's asking for it and from what county.  Also, I understand that there are "debt companies" that buy lists of old debts that have past the 7 or 10 year limit to be collected on.  If you get con-ed into making a payment towards these old debts, it starts them on a new 7-10 year clock, and they show up on you credit reports again.  What I do know is that around Christmas time I filled out some on-line surveys for a Walmart Card (which I never got) and my cell phone's been lighting up like a Christmas tree. One thing I did do since then is get a phone number for free from Google Voice. That's the number I use for anything I do on-line. It's a cool free service.  Any of these scammers that call that number can leave a voicemail that is emailed to me as a sound file (MP3) and is trascribed into text, so everything they say is sent to me as a recording that I can email to a lawyer and written out in text.  They NEVER leave me a message on my Google phone number.

I have been getting the same calls. from 4 differant numbers all starting w/ 760 out of California. Every time they call and i talk w/ Scott, or  robert anderson or Kelvin collings or Kieth. they wanted me to verify my last four # of my soc security, which they had right, but I said I would absolutly not verify anything until I knew what this was about. The indian speaking ConArtist Hung up on me. Today I recieved a msg from Robert Anderson saying "imperative I call back" so I did, and once I started asking questions I got hung up on. So I decided I would keep calling them until I got some answers. After the 2nd return call/on my 3rd call to them I got a msg saying mailbox #----------was full and could not accept anymore msg's.  I called a total of 7 or 8 times, 2 of which I blocked my phone number, and EVERY TIME I CALL AND ASK ANY QUESTION THEY HANG UP ON ME. THIS IS A SCAM, DON'T FALL FOR IT.  I am now going to call my Attny General and the TV stations in town to warn people

I got a call from a man and hes been calling my phone and left messages kinda of trying to intimidate me, so I called the number back because all I could get from his accent were a few words, and that was him telling me that something legal and charges and if I dont call him he feels bad for me.  So I tryed to call the number back and he answered.  When he answered I automatically asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and he wouldnt put me through to one,He tryed to say that I had gotten a loan out in 2010 ( which I never did) and I didnt pay it back, and that I needed to have a lawyer or make a deal and pay it to them, well when I caught him in the lie and said I never got a loan out and they were wronge (having to speak over him) he automatically said that it was not a scam, which right there I knew it was.  And when I told him to press the charges and to not call me he started calling me names and saying that he knew where I lived, he knew my whole name and address.  Me being a single 26 year old mom, that was scary!  After he told me to F*** off and called me a B***h several times he hung up.  I then called him back and he said quote" Quit calling this phone you stupid stupid lady", I then called him and said I have your number and I am calling the police and I hung up.  His name was John burnick Obviously not his name but that was the name he gave me.  Whats scary is somehow these people know your number (mine was a cell phone) and your address and name, who the heck is this, I really hope theres no one that falls for this stuff, if anyone else has had this call please post to get the word out.

Received a call from this number, caller identified himself as Mike Williams, when I got home a message was left on my phone stating that charges are being filed against me.  I called the number the person whom answered  the call identified himself as a "Mike Williams" appeared to have sleeping.  He stated that he was a Lawyer from American Legal Services, and that charges were being filed.  I asked for his Bar Number and which State he responded with a number of 75428 from the State of California.  He stated that a case was filed at which time I asked for the Case Number CSK01-54328, I further asked in which County at which he became very belligerent, stating that he would only talk to my Lawyer.  A computer search earlier in the day revealed that the number was coming from the Ft Irwin California area. "Mike Williams" then started yelling and then hung up on me.

I got a phone call from this people, and i took actions into my own hands, and returned the favor by calling them constantly, one day i called a total of sixteen times in less than an hour. I even had a friend of mine call and say he was my lawyer, and tagged team the phone calls by three way. Another phone call I made, I told them I had sent a bounty hunter to the California Law Offices ( which they said they where calling from) and that they bounty hunter's was boba fett, obviously their lack of intelligence, and the fact that they had obviously never seen Star Wars startled them to the point, that they began to tell me that I was rude (oh, and that if I was a terrorist). Im pretty sure after I told him that his cows would be slaughtered and into delicious steak for us fat americans, he got the point. I would also normally call just to say hi. Im sure that stupid guy learned his lesson about messing with me, remember sometimes its better for you to get on the defensive and show him that weve been educated in their scams and scare tactics. One thing I learned from all of this, is that I should be more careful about where I post such vital information, and that no matter how much information they have, they really cant do much with, for example any money transactions posted without your authorization can be traced, so why run the risk of stealing anything? Well first, their tactics do work, if you even confirm that youre indeed the person they are looking they can confirm your ssn, address, and everything else they have on you, so dont say anything cuz the phone call is being recorded. Another thing I learned from reading on this scam, is that the number you see on your caller id, is not the actual number that they are calling from, and so they are able to call you from any number using vo/ip and or a combinations of prepaid cellphones and payphones. Also, they are especially rude to women, they seem to be much more disrepectful to them, so ladies, if one of these idiots call you, you will e offended I recommend you try my tactics with the help of a male companion preferably someone whos really good at qouting movies, that seems to piss them off even more. I was really scared when they first called me, but I made the best of it, researched called back, and it backfired on them, all my accounts have been alerted and my credit is being monitored and my ssn was never said nor confirmed so they only have a few pieces of information, not much that can be used.

I am receiving the same calls. Yesterday they called 12 times in a row, less than a minute apart. When I tried to answer they didn't say anything, and you can't call them directly back on their number that shows up on caller ID. When they finally left a message at my work, I called them back at the number they left, and they were so rude. I told him to take me off the calling list immediately and to stop harassing me on my cell and at work and he said, "Well don't call us back then!"
I said that THEY need to stop calling me immediately. I am filing complaints will all avenues possible and I am going to tell my lawyer.
