The people who see through your scam know more about computers than you do about the English language, you half witted idiot.  Look up the word "Busted" in your English/Hindi or English/Urdu dictionary.

I have had these guys calling me for  years.  I about a year ago, they called and I asked his name and he said, Larry.  I laughed, and told him he didn't sound like a Larry, but more like a 'Hashish', and he completely lost it and started ranting over me being a "filthy american and how me and my county would pay the price, and that we would burn in H**L".  This is absolutely a scam!  They are up to something, but I don't think they're after your money or identity.  They clearly just want to plant some software on you computer.  Often a tactic for executing a 'Denial of Service' attack.  If any posts below say they are legit, then you can bet those posts are from them. Don't believe it.

Your only option is to block their calls and cross your fingers that they're only after money.

I am getting the same calls since approx. 1 week. I finally talked to them yesterday to request being removed from their list. The guy was in India, speaking on behalf of the Microsoft IT help desk. Our computer apparently has a virus that interferes with one of their customer's computers. Very pushy, trying to help me with the problem. I told them that this is a scam and that I would call them back if I would find out otherwise. Can I report this to some agency?

my mom has received 10 calls in 2 weeks from this person "john Williams"  he has stated that her computer is being hacked and that he would help her fix the issue. she just needed to be in front of her computer.  she hung up on him several times, than finally asked him for a number she could call back.  the number was 206-391-3954 or 3951  he had a heavy accent.  possibly Indian.  we later did research and have found we are not the only ones getting these same calls.  This is a scam. do not give them any information.   He stated that his company was INEX Support.  and why would he continue to call her back if he was a scam...

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM A MAN WITH A HEAVY ACCENT. THEY SAID THEY WERE CALLING BECAUSE FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS THEIR SATELLITE WAS RECEIVING MESSAGES FROM MY COMPUTER. HE SHOWED ME WERE SOME OF THE ERROR AND WARNING SIGNS WERE ON MY COMPUTER THEN HE WANTED ME TO GO TO THE WEBSITE WWW.INEXTSUPPORT.COM THE PAGE LOOKED LIKE IT WAS FAKE SO I ASKED WHAT KIND OF MALWARE OR VIRUSES THEY WERE RECEIVING FROM MY COMPUTER AND HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO ANSWER ME. I TOLD HIM I WOULD CONTACT MICROSOFT AND HE SAID THAT IF I DIDN'T DO THIS NOW THAT THE COMPUTER IS GOING TO GET MORE AND MORE INFECTED AND I TOLD HIM THAT IF THEY WERE REALLY LEGIT THEN THEY WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH ME CONTACTING MICROSOFT. HE TOLD ME THAT HIS NAME WAS EDWARD SMITH AND THAT HIS EMPLOYEE NUMBER WAS 8651 AND THAT THEY WERE FROM A TECH SUPPORT IN INDIA AND THAT THE COMPANY HAD THEM USE AMERICAN NAMES SO PEOPLE WOULD HAVE AN EASIER TIME PRONOUNCING THE NAMES.

I am a IT Manager with 20 years experience and maintain my brother-in-law's computer. So I get a call from him and he informs me that these clowns called him- a Mr. Edward Smith. Luckily he said things didn't sound right and he got their number and said he would talk to me and have me call them. They are a scam and know enough to make themselves look legit. I repeat they are a scam. Save your dollars and work with someone local if you have issues. They are no good and will rob you blind.

Called twice--very persistent in attempting to tell me my computer is full of disruptive things despite my repeated comments that it's  working fine and protected with good security software. Very redundant in their approach and make a real effort to get me on my computer so they can fix the problems. Caller just keeps taking and trying to sell the need to solve the problems. Won't stop!  I've talked with lots of tech reps over the years, but this if the first one who ever called me saying they  were receiving signals that my computer was polluted with hidden viruses and other bad things  that needed to be removed. Legitimate firms just don't don't perform in that manner. Be alert computer world!!

We get the fake "computer virus" scam in the UK as well.  We also get lying posts like your trying to pretend that these scammers are legit.  Microsoft will tell you that anyone who 'phones pretending that they can see errors on our computers, or that our computers are sending messages to them are scamming thieves.
