Now the calls are coming from (760) 547-3459.

I usually never answer from this number though they call repeatedly and never leave a VM.  However, I lost my mind tonight and answered.  I could hear a call center in the background and they hung up within about 1.5 seconds.  It could be Time Warner simply confirming that the number listed on the customer account is still a working number.  It is deceitful and a violation of customer confidence.

Answered phone call from this number no one was there.

Called today twice in the evening, didn't lift that.

Now, they say they are from Verizon and try to get you to say magic words that they will try and piece together to "slam" your phone system and switch to theirs.  I found out that you can have the number blocked by your local phone carrier for 90 days.  All you have to do is call the business number for your phone carrier and request a 90 day block on the phone number.  Easy.

This person identified themselves as "my Verizon rep" even though they did not say there were calling from Verizon. I believe they are independent contractors looking to switch your coverage. I don't know how they gain access to our account from Verizon, but several times I have told them that we just recently renewed with Verizon and if they were from this company they would know that. Sketchy.

I called Verizon and although they could not block a number, they can put you on an internal Do Not Call list for companies they contract with to solicit you regarding your account etc

This number comes up on caller ID at least 3 or 4 times a week at my business...they always hang up when I answer.

They claimed to be from Verizon calling about upgrades and new services.  They hung up on me when I kept telling them I did not have the services they insisted I had on my lines.

"THIS IS A LIGIT COMPANY WHO DOES WORK FOR TIMEWARNER.  I ASK THEM ONCE I TALKED TO THEM WHY THEY DON'T LEAVE A MESSAGE.  THEY STATED IT IS NOT ALLOWED IN THERE OFFICE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE ON AN ANSWERING MACHINE.  ALSO THE NUMBER IS NOT A WIRELESS CELL PHONE IT IS AN ACTUALLY BUSINESS IN MIRA MESA, CA  WHICH IS IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY.  THE REASON THAT THE DONNOT CALL DOES NOT APPLY IS BECAUSE YOU R AN EXISTING CUSTOMER OF THE CABLE COMPANY AND THEY ARE CALLING NUMBERS PROVIDED FROM THE CABLE COMPANY."

I agree with the above claim, as I called Time Warner after this call and the deal was legitimate.  They are just an outsourcing sales company for TWC...

FIGURED IT OUT!!!! FINALLY GOT THROUGH!! It's this guy named Bob pretending to be a movie exec from Time Warner. Was smoking a cigar on the phone. REEEL CREEPY GUY WITH REALL CREEEPY VOICE. I'd steer clear of TW BOB!!!

Caller ID says SVCS.  No message left.

I've been getting calls from this number for several months. Most often the calls come in while I'm at work, so answering the phone isn't an issue. (I got rid of my answering machine a long time ago when I realized that I was getting recorded messages and other nonsense on my machine. My friends and family members have my work phone number & cell phone number--they know how to reach me when I'm not home. So--no point to having an answering machine or paying for phone company voice mail service.)
Anyway, I've been curious about this number when I find it on my caller ID. It seems pretty obvious from all these posts that it's just as well that I've missed these calls.

wow you guys are stupid........ i currently work at phoneware inc and all we do is call people who qualify for digital phone services and or either we call b2b (business to business for you uneducated MF'S) so stop crying about the call people atleast somebody is calling your lonely a**

This 760-526-8136 number has called my phone every single day 3X daily for the past year and Im sick and tired of it! What can we do to stop these stupid people from calling. I am on the do not call list and have done it twice! but this doesnt seem to work either, it seems that my number is being sold by some company that I am not aware of, I thought if I didnt answer when they called they would stop, but it seems to be getting worse!

Turn them in. There is a complaint process with the national Do Not Call list. Only turning these companies in will the calling stop. I received a call from this number today to my cell. How did they get my cell number??? I returned the call and an automated message says phoneware. I have read about companies like this fined for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Please, everyone...file on these people.

They stopped calling me about 1 month ago. I started answering the phone each time I was home, and I just set it by the TV or stereo (whatever was on). After 4-5 more calls (3 days), the calls stopped. I do not know that if is a fix or just dumb luck.

I get at least 2 calls a day from this number! I am low budget and have to pay for my cell phone minutes as I use them. I have my cell number on do not call list even though they say you don't need to. Telemarketing company's aren't allowed to call them? And mine is an actual CELL number, not a landline number transferred to a cell number!

I have been getting repeated calls to my cell phone by this number at all times of day and night and they never leave a message. I finally decided to see where the area code was from and found it was Southern California/San Diego. I then decided try searching the whole number and found this site...I think this is outrageous that so many people have been contacted/harassed like this and it should be illegal.  If this is truly affiliated with Time Warner or Verizon, they are going to lose my business. I thank you all for reporting this and I plan to research this more.  I will let you know if I have more to update on the matter.

i told her guess would cancell my verizon account she took my number said I wouldnt get anymore calls !!

its telemarketing for verizon and TWC - call them, press 0, and tell operator to remove your number

This is a "power selling" pushy company that verizon subcontracts with to sell new features. They had me all confused telling me I didn't have a certain plan and tried selling me another. They also call me at least 4x a week!!! Do yourself a favor and ignore the calls.

Arab sounding lady asked for "name" which was my moms name.  I told her this is my cell phone and "name" is my mother, she then hung up on me.  Did not tell me why she was calling.

Called back and got a stupid message about fortune 500 companies then went to voice mail.  F*ck that!  I am going to start harassing them in return.

Time Warner calls me at least twice a week to sell me phone service (my home phone is with ATT). I have told them 1/2 dozen times that I am not interested. I already have cable and internet with them. I want nothing else.

I guess I could do without the land-line phone and switch from cable to directTV, but would it just be changing jerks A&B for jerk C ?
