DEA officer (yea right) called me and said if I didn't wire them $2K in cash today they would come to my home and search it.  They said they had officers in my zip code ready to come to my house with a search warrant.  I told the guy to please send them but I needed an hour to take a shower and dress.   The guy yelled at me and said I was going to jail.  I laughed and hung up.  He then called me back 7 times threatening me, even though I kept laughing and hang up.   Then I get a call from a blocked number offering to sell me Oxy. for $278.00 for 30 pills plus $200 shipping.   They said I had to wire the money.  I said "yea sure good deal".  Then I said I need to check my bank account could I call back and I was given the number above.  So I say well so your  DEA agent selling me drugs?   He said they have pills left over from raids, LOLOLOL   who would fall for this?

PS Still waiting for the DEA agents to show up, this was 9:00 am.   Guess they couldn't make it....

the old DEA scam - If they call please report it to the DEA.    The caller is actually in the Dominican Republic and is trying to scare you into giving them money.  A real DEA officer would not ask for money or even hire you an attorney (they often say they will give u an attorney).  U may also get a call from this number offering to sell you fake controlled substances.  They may even let you put in on your credit card.  Don't do it, u may lose you money.  Credit Card companies are no longer reversing these charges as often, you to laugh at them and say "what other scam do you have".   They will hang up it costs them $ to talk to you.   They know these scams are well known.

I have one report of them trying to scam people saying if you wire money to them within a week you will get $100K wired to u.....   Now I take the opinion if u believe that u deserve losing the money.  NEVER WIRE OR WESTERN UNION MONEY TO A STRANGER.   YOU will never see the money again....

This group is actually close to being caught, the problem is there are many more and they come up with new scams daily.......

He told me that he could make a deal with the persercuting attn. from the Dominican Republic and that I could just pay a fine, He said he was going to put me on hold and find out how much the fine would be, I said that was fine that while I was on hold I was going to call law inforcement and ask some questions, He got very hateful with me and then hang up.

A  man called harassing me saying he was from the DEA,  going to search my property and arrest me for purchasing medication over the internet 5 years ago.  He sounded completely idiotic, he was yelling at me, I said "why are you yelling, you are so unprofessional... you are obviously NOT from the DEA, you are a scammer looking for money.  "  He hung up on me.  I reverse looked up his number and viola here it is! so I called the actual DEA and left a message about just what this idiot had said and am leaving this for anyone else he happens to harass!! Do NOT believe it....what an a**!

ALERT - EXTORTION SCAM - ALERT

DEA Warns Public of Extortion Scam by
DEA Special Agent Impersonators

The Drug Enforcement Administration is warning the public about criminals posing as DEA special agents or other law enforcement personnel as part of an international extortion scheme.

The criminals call the victims (who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the lnternet or by telephone) and identify themselves as DEA agents or law enforcement officials from other agencies.  The impersonators inform their victims that purchasing drugs over the lnternet or by telephone is illegal, and that enforcement action will be taken against them unless they pay a fine.  In most cases, the impersonators instruct their victims to pay the "fine" via wire transfer to a designated location, usually overseas.  If victims refuse to send money, the impersonators often threaten to arrest them or search their property.  Some victims who purchased their drugs using a credit card also reported fraudulent use of their credit cards.

Impersonating a federal agent is a violation of federal law.  The public should be aware that no DEA agent will ever contact members of the public by telephone to demand money or any other form of payment.

The DEA reminds the public to use caution when purchasing controlled substance pharmaceuticals by telephone or through the Internet.  It is illegal to purchase controlled substance pharmaceuticals online or by telephone unless very stringent requirements are met.  And, all pharmacies that dispense controlled substance pharmaceuticals by means of the lnternet must be registered with DEA.  By ordering any pharmaceutical medications online or by telephone from unknown entities, members of the public risk receiving unsafe, counterfeit, and/or ineffective drugs from criminals who operate outside the law.  In addition, personal and financial information could be compromised.

Anyone receiving a telephone call from a person purporting to be a DEA special agent or other law enforcement official seeking money should refuse the demand and report the threat.

ABC News did an investigation. 99% of on-line pharmacies are fake. You are dealing with 3rd world crooks selling 3rd world floor scraps - as drugs. On the internet you can set up a pharmacy in under 5 minutes. Do a search & Avoid!
