I have the same problem with my daughter.. A call use normal american sounding names, robin ross, john williams, ted marshall,dennis werley, david cooper, and brian johnson. they said they were representing an attorney russell miller. I talk to the real russell miller and he is angry because he has reported this to the fbi. I can not believe this has been going on for more than 2 years and our goverment cannot protect it citzens from this kind of terrorism.

threatened that I need to resolve a legal matter with them today by calling him or having my attorney on record to call him and do not disregard this call and wished me good luck if I did not respond. Said his name was John Anderson with and India accent. Then said God Bless at the end of the call. This is another phony credit call hoping to send them money.

check this out - just had a call from "Jay Smithers" and when I called back, same guy with same Indian accent claimed he was "David Cooper".  He was rude and threatening, could give  me no information about an alleged lawsuit, but unfortunately had last 4 of my husband's SS # and last 4 of our bank account, in addition to other identification.  This is a scam.  They are trying to get people to send them money to "avoid a lawsuit" In fact, the message left on our machine was threatening, stating that if we didn't call back, then "good luck to you as this situation unfolds..."  

Hope that when you check out the above link that you will realize that its just a scam and they can't do much except irritate and harrass you.  Follow thru with the proper authorities.  Relax.  There will always be thieves who work harder at getting out of legitimate work and responsibility through scams, than just getting a real job like the rest of us.  Don't be scared or suckered by these con men ( I won't refer to them as "con artists" because they weren't very skilled with their communication, in their message or their language skills.)  Good luck!

Received a phone call from this number today, showed on caller id as "0000" so naturally I didnt answer it. I listen to the message and it is a Ted Miller, (nice sounding name) guy had a veryyyy heavy hindu accent. Was very threatening in his tone of voice, and said "if you do not call me back all I can say is I wish you luck on what will unfold on to you". Dont threaten me. It is just very scarey at the amount of information they have. I can not get over it! He had all my banking information, ss#, Husbands name, my address, my phone #, place of work. It is insane that these people seriously think that people are just going to sign money over to them. I am not going to lie, I am one of those unfortunate people that fell into the payday loan trap, and I am working with my current lenders to pay them off, but to receive a threatening phone call like this is just ridiculous. I know my first mistake was signing up for a payday loan, they actually become addicting after a couple of times. I am in a huge amount of debt to payday loans. I should have all of them paid off by the ending of next month. I just can not understand how outside companies that have nothing to do with your current company that you have retained as a lender have access to all of this information. There has to be a way to stop these people, and get all of the information they have out of their hands.

I got a phone call from "officer David Wright" who said federal charges are being filed against me and I will be arrested tommorrow at work for not paying an online loan. Can they do this?

Today I received many phone calls from "attorney" Robin Ross, claiming I have federal and criminal alligations against my name and SSN. The number he gave me is 760-933-8612 and the fax is 206-337-7948. He stated it was from failure to pay on a payday loan from Cashadvance.com. He wanted me to send him a copy of my drivers license # and debit card number for $445.32, along with a handwritten and signed letter for payment agreement. He said his office is based out of California. He was Indian sounding and had all of my information (address, SSN, employment, etc.). I HATE HIM!! HE MADE ME CRY!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

My fiance received a call at work today. The Indian guy asked if his SSN ended in the last four digits he gave and my fiance said "yes." The guy went on to say that he was a paralegal and my fiance is being sued and he need to contact Robin Ross. He told me about this when he came home and I googled the 760-624-8240. This same number had called my cell phone three times today but I didn't answer b/c it showed up as 0000. I don't understand why these people can't be stopped. We have ways of catching any other criminal but there is nothing being done about a person have access to your personal information. I am PISSED off. THIS IS A SCAM!

I received a phone call and a voicemail from this number today asking me to call them back with my attorney. I do not wish for them to call me as they are calling me at work.

I just received the same call that L. Cunningham just received!!!  I called back and of course, it went straight to his voicemail.  I told him I didn't know who he was or who he was calling on behalf of, that I didn't like the tone of his call and that I was reporting it to the proper authorities.  This is very creepy!!

I have recieved 3 calls from this number. The man has a strong indian acsent and make threats. He states that if I do not call him back all he can say is good luck when this situation unfolds on me. This is a scam and they have called the wrong person. I am a FEDERAL OFFICER and I am contacting the proper authorities. They stated my social security number as well. Big mistake.

the caller a Robin Ross or Gabriel gave me a word for word document that i was to print out and sign with a copy of my drivers license and fax to 206-337-7948. the numbers that they give to call them back are 760-624-8240 and 760-933-8612 both numbers listed in California. Robin claims that i have an outstanding cash advance loan from cash advance.com, seeing as my checking account was closed there is no way any money was deposited into my account, and he is workin for customer affairs and business regulations. He became agitated when i asked for the date of the deposit and what co. deposited it into my account. Then he threatened law suit if i didn't get a pre-paid visa from walmart and fax him the number in a specified amt.

Received a call from the same number left voicemail said his name was John Williams.....called him back and received voice-mail ......left him one telling him I know it is ascam and have reported him to the authorities.....

This guys called be about a month ago saying I owed money to a payday loan........and I needed to pay it or I wouls be going to jail......I checked with the company I had taken a loan with (which I paid off within one month) and they said they had heard of this scam.......

Left me voice-mail said his name is John Williams this time last month it was another name cannot recall

Got a call today from these people. The caller ID read "0000." Someone by the name of Ted Marshall left a message to call this number back. The problem is...Ted Marshall sounds like a typical American name...this guy had a definite strong Indian accent. I don't think I'll return the call!
