Beware !  It is a scam people... why would someone call from California about a handicap ramp for sale on Craig's list.  Have had other calls asking me to take my listing off and they want to pay by certified check plus give me an extra $ 50.00. Such a scam when they say something like this.   Be careful... Deal locally and Cash only..... .

Someone contacted me from this phone number asking to buy my car.  It was posted on craigslist on the4th of May. He been texting me all morning. I knew it was a scam because he haven't seen my car.

On your next Craigslist ad, don't forget to add "No texts, No email, Local only, Cash only, No Paypal". With that, you're covered. The only other thing I can think of is "No 3rd party shippers, No over-payment checks", but that's really taken care of in the first part.

I received a text the same as all the above from this same number. I listed a Custom BBQ pit for sale on Craigslist. I specifically say in the add "no texts". The reason I am reporting this is because I found it kinda funny that I received a text and it was received at midnight (central time). I will post any further communications from this number.

I got a txt saying the same thing as the one in the txt above only he decided to change his name to Andy. I thought it was strange someone would want to buy a $4,000 motorcycle withought actually looking at it first. Personally if someone is ever gonna buy something of mine I'm going to meet them and they are gonna put the cash in my hand.

I received the identical text as Lance and Mannymed tonight a few hours after I posted my Craigslist Ad. Threatened to notify the authorities if its a scam and haven't heard anything back after I said Cash Only and wouldn't accept payment any other way.

Thanks you for the responce according to the description, am okey with the price and the condition pasted on cl.(craigs list) I am ready to make instant purchase.  My mode of payment would be in CERTIFIED CHECK and i will arrange for a local pick up as soon as you get the check, because that is the only inconvienient means for me and due to my work frame i can not be able to get there and i promise everything


This happened with a saw and a expensive weight machine about 2 to 3 weeks apart.  I believe he is just getting addresses so he or some thugs can go to the address we give him and Steal what is listed and pictured on craigs list. my opinion, be cautious and do not give him you home address.
