I called the FTC this is a crime and anyone who is getting calls from them needs to call all there creditors and let them know someone is trying to scam you. See in a lot of cases with this phone number is first of all they are in another country using pre paid cards or magic jacks per the FTC. You thinks ur calling a US # but ur not. I applied for a payday loan and paid it back. The site I applied one send my info to different loaners. They hacked that info. so yes they have your bank, SS, and address. This is why on the phone they want you to send a copy of your photo ID. Call all all your insurance mortgage, electric, health insurance companies and tell them that you are not changing you address and you are not moving ect. and you will personally walking in if you want to change your information. Please change everything if you get contacted and report it to the FTC so they can monitor your info and put in a fraud case. They called my work first and told my boss I better send them the money or they will have the police there.

I  as well got a call from the number above. they said that i received a loan and didnt have the funds to pay it back to the loan place and is suing me. they said that if i did not pay the money back at that time which was 500 dollars for a 300 dollar loan then tomorrow they would be two legal officers at my door at 11 am to take me to the court. i found all this out through my work. i am on maternity leave and my supervisor called to check up on me and the baby. she said a man named shane heffner called sayin i was being summoned to court and the ruling was today and left a number cause my supervisor would not give out my number. i then called to them telling me that i was being sued for check fraud. i have never received a loan to pay back and on my credit card there are no transacations saying that i got one. i do know that we should all sue them for harassment. since they know our account numbers should we call and cancel our credit cards????

Have had this place phone my home and my office saying thet are collecting on a loan  that I owe.  That if I don't send them money and pay it, they will have me arrested at my place of business or my home. Ha ha.. I don't have an outstanding loan and it is clear these people are scammers.  Scary part is that they have my correct home address and workplace information.

I have reported them to the FTC, but don't know what else I can do.  When I told them I didn't have an oustanding loan and it was clear they were scammers, to stop phoning me, they told me "fine. Then you can explain that to the authorities" and hung up.  These people are calling from what sounds like India.

No one will show up at your work or your house....TRUST ME PEOPLE, Romeo McKenzie is a scam. I know this for a fact; Do not give them any money.  Of course they have hacked into a system where you filled out some sort of application and they have your information, but they don't have your money unless you send it to them.  They cannot do anything to you but call you and make threats. I told them I knew they were scammers and they would never get a dime from me so they called a few times after that and I laughed at them and started asking them for money so they hung up.  They have thick Indian accents and you can hardly understand what they are say.

To the person that thinks they can be arrested or the police will be picking you up...well no one can arrest you for owing money unless its taxes or child support so if your safe from those two, don't worry and common sense tells you that the proper channels have to be followed to bring someone into court, like hello---papers served.  Think about these guys for a minute and then use your head...THEY ARE SCAMMERS, THIEVES AND LIARS. They need to get up off their lazy buns and find real work instead of trying to scam hard working AMERICANA.

So glad I found this site...I've had two checks come through my bank (not my checks).  Computer generated checks made payable to "Discount Web Services".  In the amounts of $49.99 and $19.99.  I've changed accounts and the money has been refunded back to me.  Since fraud reports through the bank have been filed, I have had numerous calls from a 000 number of which I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  Now, in the last two days they have called my office, asked me to hold while they get their supervisor and a Mr. Mark Redd gets on the phone and tells me I am being sued for criminal activity.  I have multiple charges against me, I have unpaid pay-day loans.  When I advise them I have no such loans, have no idea what they are talking about and also advise them they will be reported for contacting me on my job they get very creative by reciting my SS#, telling me they know my address, my friends and if I don't pay them now they will call my office again along with my friends to let them know I am a dead beat not paying my bills and I will really get fired.

The first time I called them to let them know to not call me on my job, they hung up on me then called me back within 15 minutes on my cell phone to tell me all of the above.

I am at a loss as to what I should do now!!!  I've already changed bank accounts, but they have my SS#, address, friends contact info, etc.  Scary part of the checking info is they had my routing and acct #, home and work # with extension.

Any help?

Thank goodness that I found this site!  I got a phone call from some India accent female today too.  The caller ID showed up as "0000" and when I answered a female that said her name was Nicole Smith and told me that she was a representative from Cyber Crimes Office (CBO) and she was calling for a back office of attorney or something like that.  She asked if I had an attorney and I asked her what the heck she was talking about.  She kept saying to me that she was from CBO company and that I would be having charges drawn on me and needed to know if I had an attorney.  So I played along and said "NO" so she said she needed to transfer me since I didn't have an attorney.  Then some guy said he was Jimmy MaDeal? - crazy...sounds like an American name for someone with a heavy India accent.  Should have been my clue # 1 - but I listened and he started saying that I was having charges brought against me and papers would be downloaded or something for check fraud, theft by deception, and am in violation of online banking rules,.  I was too pist to listen fully - plus he had this heavy accent that I couldn't understand a word!  So I played along b/c this is like the third call I got today about this same matter.  So I was already aware of the information he was reading to me.  So I stopped him and told him that he needed to provide me with proof before I do anything and he got rude and loud with me.  So I informed him of the FTC and that by right I needed to have all the information first before I would pay anything.  He got really loud and threatened me that authorities would be coming to my work tomorrow.  I reminded him of the FTC and that he couldn't threaten me if he was a true debt collector or attorney office.  He got really loud and mad and then I hung up.  Deep down I know this is a scam - especially after reading all these posts from this phone number...but I am also worried and scared.  Does anyone know if someone did show up to their work?

I have received calls the last 2 days on my cell phone and my employer is getting bombarded with calls from "John Smith". The number comes up as 0000 on my cell. After reading every post here, I'll be changing my bank account information, calling the credit reporting agencies, and the local authorities. The link above is very informative and sums up the exact calls we are writing about here. Take a look if you haven't already.

Report these people to the FTC..I have gotten a call from 3 different guys with the same thick Indian accent about being officers reporting me to authorities, arresting me at work, etc.  One even went as far as to contact me at work!!!  How embarrassing!!  These people had my home, work address soc sec # and checking acct information but I refused to verify that information.  However, the calls stop when I offer to give them my attorneys contact information!!  The most recent callcame from an "officer" Shawn Markey from Investigations Phone # 760-653-9213..PLEASE DO NOT CONFIRM or give these people any of your information, it is a SCAM, I dont know how they got my information.  AGAIN...report to FTC!!!

Today I received several phone calls on my cell phone and at work from 760-935-3972 many times. My mom called the number back and was told the same thing as everyone else.  Jimmy from the Cybercrime Law Office claims that I am being sued and am being served papers and going to be arrested because I took out a payday loan and didn't pay it back.  They said that I am being charged with three crimes: check fraud, theft by deception, and am in violation of online banking rules.  My mom spoke with 3 individuals all with heavy accents.  They threatened us and were vulgar.  Trying to get any information about this payday loan and who the creditor was was quite difficult.  The company that they are claiming the payday loan was from is Quick Cash Net.  THIS IS A SCAM AND FRAUD. Many times they were disconnected and she had to call back.  The call was unprofessional and obviously they just tried to put fear into us unsuspecting individuals.  Call your local police department and report it immediately.  Keep your voicemail calls as proof, they are victimizing unsuspecting people to get your private information and hope that you are stupid enough to give it.

This company called my husband at work today and told him that we had a payday loan that was in default because our bank returned the payment.  They said that if we did not take care of it then he was going to be arrested at work tommorow.  They gave him the name of a certain payday loan company.  Ofcourse, he freaked out and called me.  I called the number.  I knew it was a fraud because for starters no legit company would talk to me when the matter is in my husbands name.  Then they gave me the name of a different company that they said was suiing us.  When I questioned the guy he said that the main company deals with over 300 pay day loan companys and that we must owe more then one money.  I told him that he was full of it.  He threatened to have us both served papers and he said officers would be showing up at our house and work.  I told him to go for it and send them. He hung up on me.  The scary part is that they knew where we bank,  our address, and all of our phone numbers including my husbands work number.  I am definetly going to contact equifax and the Federal Trade Commission.  I am just hoping this is all I need to do.

I just got a call stating all the same things that were mentioned above. Because I wasn't too sure if I did owe anything I just made payment arrangments giving them my debit card information to take the funds out in two weeks. But something told me to google this number because I wasnt feeling that sure about what they were saying and because they had my name, phone number and social I was eager to resolve any possible manner to prove my innosence. After finding this site my stomache was in nots. I called them back stating their fraudlent acts and they got really mean and loud stating that they will cancel my agreement to pay and proceed with the legal actions in a few days. I am taking all the necessary actions to try ro protect my good name and credit. I feel very used and exploited.

FTC Federal Trade Commission. I had to call yesterday. They have all your info and bank, Rent, Mortgage, SS# ect. You have to call them all. These scam artist kept calling me last night saying open your dirty mounth I know your on  the phone. Then said last chance the police are on the way. You can also call telecheck and see if you have any unpaid bounced checks on your account.

I just got a call from these A**holes too about 10 minutes ago and they said I had a payday loan out I did not pay back and that on Monday they were going to have me arrested! I was like what in the heck!!! Then I caught on because the gentleman hanging up on me and I kept calling him back over and over and he was telling me I was being stupid and that I was asking the same stupid question over and over again! They tried to tell me that if I paid them $450 dollars today I wouldnt be arrested... I was pissed and figured out that they were trying to scam me so after he hung up on me like the 7th time I called him back and he answered the phone by saying "what!" I told him I knew he was trying to scam me and that I was going to turn him into the authorities for harrassment and that when they got caught I would be right there in court to testify and he hung up on me and I havent heard back since. This gentleman had an india accent and I could barely understand him. Please please please make sure you read every post against this number and dont fall victim to them. The scary part is that they knew my home address, and my work name and address.... Some people are sooo messed up!
