These folks are a total scam; apparently, they are attempting to recover a debt my ex-wife incurred for dental treatment way back in 1999. It is so absurd that I simply logged on the Verizon website (my wireless provider) and had the number blocked.

I answered the phone and got a recorded message claiming to be from a debt recovery service. They asked me to call back at a number, but I decided to hang up instead.

I received calls from these folks on Wednesday and Friday this week. They are leaving messages identifying themselves as Dynamic Recovery Solutions and they are asking for a person who does not reside at my residence. They are leaving 866-625-8973 as a return phone number.

they called regarding a credit card right off from 2003.
woman calls and has a long script filled with legal mumbo jumbo about filling a right off with the IRS.
When I asked the date of the charge off she admitted it was from 2003 and I told her that there was no legal standing to recover that debt and she said that that was true but they were filling a write off with the IRS.
Only problem is that the IRS closes its books after 7 years unless there is fraud. Not only that the IRS isn't going to go back and reopen a file on a credit card write off.
When I told her that I knew the law, knew the policy of the IRS and had recorded the conversation and looked forward to receiving something in writing from them so that I could counter sue them, she hung up.
