Got a email from this person on my hotmail, he is a scammer wanting private details

how did they get money out of you.

This same number via txt in reply to an add but this time asking me to email Alexbennett001@outlook.com. Sounds like a scammer

This person is now using juliebennett001@outlook.com - just tried the same thing again with us..... can't believe they don't even bother to change their names.

I was actually scammed - julie Hamex (and same number).  It will be my first time and last time I will be  selling something online. The bi*** / b*****d got me!! Expensive lesson learnt!  Wish I had seen this link before I was stupid enough to trust this loser.
Question is -  if she is using the same email and contact number why haven't the authorities done something!!

Advertised things on Gumtree Tasmania - juliehamex texted, then switched to email. Yep scammer.

Same as many a text from this no,61 428 465 117 asking for me to email. Said that she was too busy. And just wanted to pay via SAFE pay pal. It is sad that these people may be successful in scamming others that may be in financial trouble themselves. What goes around comes around, and they will have the same done to them one way or another.

Same she tried to pay me on PayPal and didn't reply when I wouldn't give me details. Very clearly a scam!

Brisbane Australia, selling my commercial mower on Gumtree. Received text at 5:00am from number +61428465117 and she(?) only wanted to communicate via email - Julie Hamex <juliehamex001@hotmail.com>. Wanted me to set up a Paypal account (asap) and include my address details. She(?) didn't have time to inspect but was happy to hand over, sight unseen, a few thousand for my mower. I thought a bit strange so googled her name and found all of these different sites warning about it being a scam. Seller Beware!!!!!

Brisbane Australia, selling a car, text mobile, tried to ring her back, can't. Emails telling me to set up a paypal account or give her my bank details and address. Gave her local cop shop address. Stringing her (or him) along.

Happened to me today :( Julie Hamex (juliehamex001@hotmail.com) wanted to buy my chair and table and wanted me to set up Paypal account. Search her name on Google and it came up with your site ;)

Same thing happened to me today too. Put up a add on kijjii and wanted it shipped. Thank you guys for your help I sent them this link and told them to go f*** themselves. I hope we continue to help others from this f*** face

Hey, same thing happened to me.  Post a piano on Kijiji and he/she responded with the same story of "I'm too busy, please set up pay pal account"  I emailed back saying what an idiot you are and you belong in jail.  I feel sorry for people who get scammed this way.

Same here - it's a scam - they want you to sent the delivery cost ie $350 first before paypal releases the full funds plus shipping - lol ya right.

Emails and paypal reference are not valid source - buyer beware.

I just received the same text from this person.  Wanting Paypal info and will schedule pickup, etc......the entire text sounded fishy.  Won't be sending any information to this person.

I had listed a sofa set on Kijiji, got texts from this number asking me to e-mail them at Julie Hamex juliehamex001@hotmail.com. She insisted I sell her my stuff and receive the money through Pay Pal.She said she was a "Marine Biologist" and this is why she can't come see or collect the stuff, but will send me a courrier company once I receive the money and will ship her the stuff. I asked her if she can send me the money via e-mail transfer and she said she does not have access to the bank account right now, but encouraged me to open a Pay pal account to get paid.... Clear scam.

put a tv stand on Kijiji.ca & got a tex from this # asking me to email her about the ad to discuss payment.

Through conversation, the same looks to be happening. "Her" name is Julie Hamex & she would like the furniture shipped to West Africa, where she is a Marine Biologist, so she is adding an extra $500 for shipping/western union costs to the purchase price of the tv stand....wonder how this will go after reading about this.

Same situation and M.O...

Claims responsibility for Pick up and pick up costs...will be included in the money he sends.  Decade old scam just via new means.  Curious on how the paypal scheme works; do they claim they didn't get the item and file a complaint with paypal or is it something more behind the scenes and a planned hack hoping you log in to paypal from your phone and tag the number while hacking your connection.

I just received 2 people responding to a craigslist same situation.
1st one with the phone 571-249-3745. He wanted my furniture willing to have a company pick it up after he paid with paypal. Not willing to give me any info on him. He is out of town a oceanographer. My gut told me this is not a local #. it's from VA.  Then I get another response for this #. wanting me to only reply by email. Once again paypal mentioned. And not a local # just a heads up... Never do business without meeting the person in person and always local. 99% scams will not be from your area and have some great excuses for not meeting up but have arranged to have some agent to pick up. Most importantly CASH only! In person. Problem solved:)

That number was interested in renting a room for one year. She/he faked a 5200$ deposit in a PAYPAL scam site and wanted me to transfer 1000$ to a mover in Negeria...

posted bedroom furniture on craigslist and he wanted wanted to pay us $900... $550 for furniture (which was asking price) and $350 for his "movers". Stated he got the email confirming his payment of $900 from paypal and we should check our email in the scam folder for our confirm email as well. We had not received an email nor payment. When I sent him an email letting him know neither had come through, he called me. First off, I can't understant a word you are saying to me, I'm not selling anything to you. Then I researched the phone number he texted me from and found this page... TOTAL SCAM!!! research phone numbers before sending any emails.

Sent me a message asking if our items were still available and to email him and alexbennett50@hotmail.com. I asked him what he was interested in and he asked me to tell him what I had listed. Ya, if you're gonna be a scammer, you need to work on your technique Alex. No thanks.

Posted ad on KIJIJI.ca for couches. Received text msg asking for reply via email to alexbennett50@hotmail.com. I was curious and sent email. I knew something was up when the spelling and grammar where poor, and the fact that he did not want to view in person and asked for PayPal info. I replied and said PayPal is not an option. I then referred to this site and sure as heck, scam!! I have since reported this person.

Had a car listed on craigslist on Wisconsin. Got a text message from this number that he wanted to purchase for his father. Needed our name, address & PayPal info to send payment info to have a mover pick up. I asked for him to forward his info and I would send him a Paypal invoice. This is when he asked for us to call him at this number. After seeing other notes told him I was not comfortable discussing further.

just like kai, i posted something to sell in kijiji and got a message from this number. wanted me to make a pay pal account saying her courier will be the one to get the furniture once the payment was made. another form of scam?

posted on kijiji.ca and wanted to sell my bed for $180 in calgary, alberta, canada, then got a msg from this number and wanted to buy my bed????
