Just received a phone call, listed as "Minnesota Call" on my caller ID; but sounded like it had been re-routed.  I said "Hello" several times until a man with an African-American dialect finally answered.  The connection was very bad, and he claimed to be working for Microsoft, and that our computer had become the victim of a computer virus.  He wanted me to download a new program to counteract the virus; but I told him that Microsoft does not do business over the phone, especially with such a poor connection, and that he was operating a scam.  I hung up.

This guy called my place of business at 4:45 or so and told me he'd like to lick my luscious round heels. I kind of wish I would have gotten one of the scamming phone calls instead. It was really freaky.

This is the caller ID displayed when you get a call from Skype. Skype should do a better job, putting "Skype Call" in the caller ID clearly.

On Sept 12,2012 I received a call from MN 763 279 1719. A male with a very thick, accent, probably from India, said he was from Microsoft and they monitor my computer. He said they just received an allert that some one was downloading something on my computer as we were speaking, and that I needed to go into my computer right away. I am embarrassed to say I fell for this scam and allowed him to take over my computer. He showed me all the red allerts which indicated virus, worms etc. No problem--he could just clean them up and install all new protection at a cost of $398 for 7 years with full tech support. After giving him all my credit card information, he told me to not go into my computer for i hour while their tech was working, I realized this was a scam, and called my CC company to stop payment and cancel card. The
scamers had down loaded western union and other programs. When  I tried to down load security it deverted to their web site----A real mess to get cleaned up!!!

Prank Call
I work in an adult book store, Sellox Inc. 763-279-1719 has called the store several times in the last few months and seems to be teenage boys.  Never appears to be a scam, just teenagers asking a bunch of silly questions about the product we carry and then laughing.  Just a run of the mill prank phone call.  Harmless but still irritating.

Prank Call
I received a call from 763-279-1719 @ 4:22 pm today.  They said they were with Microsoft and wanted me to get in front of my computer and pull up my Windows OS.  I knew it was a hoax because I have a MAC but also because I knew that MS would NEVER call all the customers to personally help them clean their system. The problem I had with this is that I thought it was a hoax from someone I knew so I played along with it. The phone call lasted for over 20 minutes, I spoke with a few people from this number, there were phones ringing in the background - (they had Indian accents - but not good ones). They TOLD me it was a scam and that I also scammed people, they took photos of me with their Canon Camera - which is the only brand camera I own of my 4 camera's and I used to work for Canon. they also said they were calling from SC - I have family there...which is why I thought these were people i know - they were ticking off familiar things. I played with them for about 20 minutes, told them I was finally bored with it and said good bye, they chuckled and said to have a nice night.

Got a call from this number. I spoke with some guy that's got a strong accent that i really couldn't understand, my guess is an Indian guy. He went on about being from some sort of ambassador place and asked all these random question like if I'm into computer or business and crap like that. The call was at my work place so i told the guy i don't have time and that I was working, he kept saying it's only going to take a minute but i hung up on him. I got really curious so i checked online on google searching under Sellox inc and I found this site. After reading all the posts in here, it just pisses me off. If anybody is reading this and is on the phone with them at the moment, tell them to eat big fat dick.

Was suspicious and said he should have my address on the supposed account and send my court papers. I then hung up on him and informed my girlfriend, then googled Sellox, Inc. and read the bad comments!!

Just talked with a person saying my computer had over 100 viruses and he was going to show me them and help me get rid of them.  Told me he tried to send me warnings but my own virus software isn't working so they didn't reach me.  Wanted me to hit the windows button with the letter 'R' at the same time.  I didn't do it, I hung up and am running virus software now, nothing has been found yet.  I'm pretty sure this is a SCAM, I mean, why would people call you to say you have viruses on your computer?

call from 763-279-1719, said they were from windows & something about a virus.  Had a strong india like accent.  I told him I don't do anything from a cold call.  He was very pushy about me going to the computer & following his directions.  I said no.  Said my husband deals with the computer.  Caller asked if I was alone.  Weird & scarey.  I had to do *69 to get the phone number since I don't have caller id.  I also did *57 which will trace the call for $1 - that way the phone company can track & take action if needed.  I hate these people!  Get a real job!

Just got a call from someone at this number with a really heavy accent saying windows on my computer was under attack and wanted me to go to a website so they could scan, check and fix this virus.

Got suspicious immediately and started asking questions about why Norton hadn't shown me anything - their answer "there are new viruses every day" - which may be true, but still sounded fishy.

They finally got angry enough because I was questioning them and because I wouldn't cooperate. Right before they hung up on me they were saying things along the lines of "well, obviously you're not concerned about your computer". Wish I would have hung up on the guy before he hung up on me.

They called and said that my computer was "under attack" from a computer virus and wanted me to go to a website they mentioned in order for them to fix it for me... Wouldn't give anything other than first name.... Spoke with an accent that made the guy hard to understand... VERY persistent about wanting me to go to the website... got angry when I kept asking what type of virus, wanting employee ID #, supervisor, etc. and finally hung up on me.

I only wish I could have hung up first! :-) Make sure you DON'T ANSWER when this number comes up - it will only give you aggravation!
