if this person calls my house at 10 o'clock at night again im personally going to rip open the chest and pull out the heart of the SOB!!!!! 11 phone calls per day!

They call me every day.  I just let it go to VM, they never leave a message.  I wish Vonage would let me block specific numbers like Google Voice does.

When they call, they say stuff, that makes no sense! Like that joke wasn't funny and she was so rude! Now explain, that? I called them back and let the phone ring and ring and ring... no answer! I use to get calls about magazines, but a number never showed up!

Just got a call from this number and said is SR there and I said I was and he hung up. Called the number back and it just rings.

I've dealt with very similar magazine scams before. They usually identify themselves only as "the people who send out your magazines", and pretend to connected with whoever might possibly  be sending you magazines (if you're even getting any, that is). They try to get your credit card number for a "discounted rate", or to "take you off the renewal list" or some such nonsense. One company even managed to buy my credit card number from somewhere, because they had it without me having to give it to them!

Bottom line, they're lying about you already having an account with them. If you complete the call with them, you'll find yourself signed up with an account, and that day will be the first recorded day of your account with them. Usually you can cancel within the first 3, or 5 or 7 days, depending on the company. If it's past that, file a complaint with the BBB and explain your situation. They've bailed me out a few times when I was really confused about why I supposedly had all these magazine accounts I never signed up for.

I just received a call from this guy(no name), but he knew my first and last name. he said "I was just doing a follow-up on some of the magazine's you have ordered and wanted to know if you were receiving them on time". I asked him" which magazine's", he reported "due to privacy issue's he was not allowed to know the names of the magazine's, they only give him numbers and that he show's I am suppose to be receiving 4 magazine's".I reported to him" Well it's kind of hard to tell you if I am receiving them or not if I don't know the names of the magazine's you are refering to", and then I went on,"I receive a lot of mail everyday due to I was hooked on getting freebies, but that I had signed up with mt son's school for some magazines last year and they were commming in under his name", and I was looking for a perticular magazine while I was rattling on, note:I read some where that if you waste their time like they are wasting your's, or put them on hold, it would help prevent them from calling you back. I found the magazine I was looking for and reported"Here it is, I had reordered it, but it seems like I am not getting as many issue's as I see out in the grocery store, it's called All You", then he hung up. I received an immediate call back from the same number thinking he was going to appolize, but no, he asked for a different female's name,I reported "No, this is the lady you just hung up on". click, he hung up on me again. It seemed liked once he got the name of a magazine I received, that was all he needed.

A clla back tothis number gets no response.

this  number could be an escort service or it could be a person who is helping a bill collector to collect a bill for an escort service.  need to report to the do not call number in your state.

Kept calling and sending magazines I do not want

I keep getting these phone they call me at work several times and even late at night never leaves a message this is annoying and they need to stop.

I have same issue with 407.833.4500.  I get calls at all times of day and night but it is a fax trying to communicate with my cell.  I found out who they were and called and spoke with a rep.  I pleaded to get my number off but it hasnt happened.  I simply added it to my address book and set the ring tone to SILENT.

I just got a call from this number on my cell and they asked directly for me.  The man said something about a magazine and asked if I were gettng them ok then hung up.

This people just called me on my cell and asked for me by name.  The man said something realy quick regarding a magazine and asked me if they were comng in good condition and they they hung up  before I was able to reply.

I've been getting calls like this from various different supposed magazine companies for probably 2 months now. I'm fed up with these calls and after asking repeatedly to be removed from their database, I finally filed a complaint with donotcall.gov. I registered my phone about 6 months ago with the national Do Not Call registry, so I shouldn't be receiving junk calls like these.

This time the company that called was CSS, whatever that stands for.

This number has called me as well as the magazine company people are describing in their posts.  Cancel your credit cards people.  I too receive unwanted and un-ordered magazines.  They have threatened to take me to collections as well.    Do not give them any more information.  PLEASE go to the Better Business Bureau and report them.  I reported them and the BBB made serveral attempts to contact them and the magazine company NEVER answered the mail.  I also reported them to the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION.  It is easy to do.  Go online and get a case number.  It only takes 30 minutes to do it.  It is a FEDERAL offense for them to solicit credit card information from you over the phone.  They are scammers!!!

They call all hours of the day, even on SUNDAY!  I am on the do not call registry and want these calls to stop. I also receive calls from 1-800-555-1212 which is apparently a partner outfit.  I actually answered this one last week as it leads you to believe it is AT&T and we do not subscribe to AT&T and I wanted to tell them so and that I was not interested.  Turned out to be some kind of "scam" call about magazines, which we promptly denied and hung up.  Please block them from calling my home number

They have been calling incessently,. along with the 1-800-555-1212 number which I see in several of the complaints above.  The 1-800 number leads you to believe it is AT&T calling as that is what comes up on the caller ID.  I too am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and will be reporting both of these numbers when I finish here.  they call all hours, does not matter what time, what day.  UGH.  Leave me alone!

First a Guy called and asked 4 me by name & stated he was calling from some magazine company in MN from another number. Then like an hour later I got a call from this number & they left no message. So I called it back but got no answer. *annoying*

I recieved a call from 763-412-1990. The man on the phone acted crazy! Did you get your magazines? Are they coming on time? Are you recieving them on time? Have you got them all? He kept repeating my first name as if he was confirming who I am. I kept trying to tell him I have not ordered anything and was asking who he was. He just carried on with magazines and my first name.When I called him back nobody answers.I will not get caught in this scam. I am making some phone calls.

jerk keeps calling ever day

That has happened to me as well.  I'm getting 4 different magazines that I never ordered - two of them I get two copies.  I was wondering where they came from as one of the magazines is Parents - and I don't even have kids!!

I have this same number calling. I got into the same magazine issue and I think I shouldn't have given out my information. I promptly cancelled all my cards and when they called looking for payment I told them I have no idea what they are talking about. I ask to speak to a supervisor and they hang up. Complete scam.

I received a call from the number twice today then I received a call from 800-555-1212 from a guy calling himself Rich. Saysing he was checking on magazines I'm receiving. Told him I'm not receiving magazines and will not receive magazines. Hung up abruptly. rude.

I've read alot about the 1212 number and they seem to go hand in hand. At least this guy sounded like his name would be Rich and not Acmed. LOL

I have received 3 calls and when I pick up they hang up.

If I call back they do not leave a message.

This company calls me several times a day and then hangs up.  I want it to stop and I am on the Do Not Call List.

My son has been receiving calls from this company and they are border line harrassing him.  They are saying he ordered a magazine that he did not order and that he cannot cancel the subscription or get out of paying it.  These phone calls are annoying and we have asked them to stop calling but they just persist and call from new numbers each time.

This number just called me, asked for my husband by first name and when told he wasn't here the man said "ok, we'll call back."  I said "who is this please?" and he hung up.  Calling the number back has not helped in figuring out who this is as the phone just rings incessantly.

I also received a magazine that I didn't order, the guy who called said I owed $1,298.78 for 5 magazines for 5 years. . .  I never ordered the magazines, one is called "W" and I've never even heard of it.  

I think they got my card number from another scam company I had trouble with. . .

He threatened that he was going to send my account to Collections.  Would not give his address.
