Contact Congress or hire a lawyer to file a class action suit against the people who own the numbers and the phone companies.  Why isn't one of the government agencies doing something about this.  Next time one of my congressmen come to my hick town for a town hall, I am going to be one mad as hell voter about this issue.

I think since Congress is not going to help any of us with identity theft issues and calls like this that we Americans need to hire ourselves a lawyer and file a class action suit against the people who belong to these numbers as well as the phone companies who allow this. I have called cops in  these towns after Google searches and no one will do anything for me. AT & T will not help as well.  Our civil liberties are being harmed by this constant berrage of attempted thefts. Poor senior citizens who might get caught up in this....yes, a multi million dollar class action suit just might do the trick.

They do not have to buy a list.  Area codes and prefixes are available.  They just set the robot to start with (###)-###-0000 and increment by 1 to (###)-###-9999.  They have no idea who they are calling until you give them that information.

I was able to get an agent on the line.  I told them to remove my number from the auto dialer or they will be reported.  The female agent said "Well that sure as s*** isn't gonna happen. F#ck!"  then hung up on me.

Stop answering calls from numbers that you don't recognize.  All of these "cardmember services" call from different numbers all the time, but they're from one place (it's called call forwarding).  I have these number stored on my phone and I have them forwarded to my state's congressman.  Let the snakes deal with the snakes.

I just received yet another call from these jerks. What will it take to get them to stop? For one thing they ARE BREAKING the law.  It is ILLEGAL to use robocalls in the US.  Second, I do NOT have any credit cards.  I am sick to death of this dishonest nonsense.

I sent all the information I could obtain on woman that owns the number, the company that provides her service and the address of both to the city of Rogers, MN. I included a note to let them know that I had added the entire area code to the block call list of my business, home and cell numbers.
No business to be done into or out of Rogers.  Please be sure and thank the lady.

The fact that these scammers still exist is proof that our government is wonderful at spying on the innocent for political reasons but can't capture an actual criminal to save their lives. If the Feds are really spying on every phone call, don't they have an ironclad record they can use to nail these crooks? Looks like they're completely impotent to stop an actual criminal.

I now have 14 different phone numbers in my cell phone that they have called from.
We have to do something about this ourselves.  We just have to find out where they actually are.
My guess is they're using something like a spoof dialer, which uses a non-working phone number to show up as the call-back number, and as you guys say, they use a robo-dialer to make the calls.  No humans time is used on their side unless you push one of the options.
As soon as we find them, each and every one of us gets to take a belt to their rear ends.

This number calls me (along with several others) all from card services and then they hang up.
So tired of it and to top it off I added my cell number to the DO NOT CALL LIST TWO MONTHS AGO AND IT HAS NOT HELPED ONE IOTA.

Is this guy sarcastic and has he ever been vulgar? I know the same guy has been calling me, I can now recognize his voice. He calls from many different numbers and keeps coming up with a new one.

Crooks at this number are trying to scam credulous people by asking them for their credit card information. I know times are tough now and everyone is scrambling to make a buck as best they can, but this has been going on for a very long time and I see no evidence of any law enforcement going on... oh I forgot, even if you kill someone these days, the likelihood is you'll get off (unless of course if you're black). So why bother pursuing petty crime at all?  It's simply a symptom of our crumbling society that will soon be fracked out of existence!  Phew, now at least I feel a little better.
will it ever end?  Probably no.

First of all, they have a way of adding any number they want to show up on caller ID.

Yes, they are scammers and they want you to hand over your credit card information.  Why?  For no good reason I can think of.

I have not had a credit card in over 15 years so they cannot have any legitimate information.

Do not call call lists do not work as these guys do not follow the rules.  Only legitimate businesses acknowledge and respect these requests.

Also notice if you do get a human on one of these lines and you do not cooperate with them in the way they want they either hang up on you or they yell at you.  That is a field of red flags that this is a scam.  People who want your business do not yell obscenities at you for asking questions, nor do they hang up on you.

I wish there was something we could do.  But there simply isn't.
