These people call my cell again and again looking for "Tania." I don't know any Tanias and tell them so, then they hang up without saying anything. . .and then call back a few days later. If I don't answer, they don't leave a message. When I try to call back, it says the number is disconnected. A shady operation.

This number has called my home several times and claims to be Financial Recovery Services Inc.  They are looking for a person who doesn't reside here and claims this person is in default on payments.  It gets irritating to continually receive calls from this number and they are harrasssing my home, not leaving a message 90% of the time.

My mom got a call at 8pm from this company. The lady claimed to be a lawyer that needed my mothers social security number for identity verification purposes. She kept asking " u don't want me to help you? Why ma'am? I just want to help you but I need your social first!"

It's Financial Recovery Services , a bottom feeder outfit.

file a complaint with your state atty gens office, forget the do not call list.

These people get STUPID when the state your in gets involved

Mr. Number app. It is a wonderful app. You can block all kinds of numbers. These are debt collectors. They use various numbers to trick you into answering. You could have an unpaid from 20 years ago, they have bought this debt. Unfortunately what they are doing is not illegal. The thing you you need to know is that if you answer and verify that it is you that they are trying to get in touch with, they have you. If you never their relentless calls there is nothing they can do. You can tell them that it isn't you and to stop calling but they do not listen, that is why I just block them. I do not have the money or the time to sue them or I would for harrassment or something.

Got a call today from this number. Didn't recognize it so let it roll to voice mail.
My number is a cell phone, so no clue how they got this number.
No message, no nothing.

Sounds like they randomly call numbers to find out if it is a valid number, since I don't have a reason
for collections to be calling. (And if they did, they wouldn't have this number.)

caller id said BRKLYN - i don't know anyone from Brooklyn, so i though i'd look it up before answering.  glad i didn't answer.  it's the holidays and i wouldn't be paying even if i did owe.  and i'm pretty certain that i don't owe anyone named BRKLYN.  they left no message, but i'll assume it's FRS since that's what everyone else is saying.

Friday at 5:45 p.m. Horribly abusive man. Threatened me and my family if I do not pay 57.00 (!!!) and I do not know why they are calling. I owe no one, never have. but he would not listen. I feel really scared and insecure now.

They keep calling me on my work line even after i sent a registered letter demanding them to stop. They try to collect OLD out dated debt, dont talk to or pay these losers anything. once you start you are admitting you owe and they will sue you. They will call from many different numbers and even from BLOCKED calls. Most of their employees are minumin wage workers who have no formal education, check their web site they will hire anyone!

Please report these people and collect $500 after the first call.  If you tell them they have the wrong number (and really have the wrong #) and they keep calling you have a right to file a complaint with the court and collect $500 per call.

Many of the information these collectors get are outdated and erroneous and phone companies continually recycle phone #'s, so 70% of the time they are calling the wrong number.

This is a collection agency.  They are attempting to collect a debt from a Wal-Mart account.

I keep getting calls from this number.  No one leaves a message.

Kept getting calls from these people as well. I just got a call at 6:31 p.m. tonight on my cell phone.

I informed them that in the State of Oregon that it is Illegal to call me before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m. on weekdays and Illegal to call any time on the weekends, and most definitely NOT on Holidays.

They called me at 7:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving and now they are going to be dealing with the Better Business Bureau. They also only give a first name like Greg or Eric or whatever without so much as saying what company they are with. This is also Illegal in Oregon and it is considered Not only Telephonic Harassment, but also entrapment.

Jokers called, but left no message.  Does anyone pick these calls up?  What a waste of resources.

HI this is a shady company called Financial Recovery Systems (FRS). They will also call from a 763 area code. They never give out their business information, like any reputable business would. So if you ever speak to anyone there and ask for information, they will hang up on you. They only want YOUR information; they will not give you theirs.

What they do:
 * They use your personal information to purchase outstanding debts you have on your credit report.
 * Multiply the amount of the original debt to a ridiculous amount, claiming fees and interest.
 * People who may contact you: Virginia Johnson or Mike as of 12/14/10.

What you should NOT do:
  * Don't send them a dime or penny, PERIOD. Once you do, you are bound to what ever they charge you.
  * If you do agree to pay them, DEMAND terms of payment conditions in WRITING before you send them a dime!!! If you don't they will:
             - Sue you without your knowledge
             - Gain a judgment in their favor because of:
                   a. You will not appear because you don't have knowledge of the suit.
                   b. The judge will rule that your initial payment was agreement to pay the full amount.
             - Once a judgment occurs in their favor, they can use your credit report to contact your employer and garnish your wages!

How to get rid of them:
* Ignore them and block them from your phones.
* Contact the company that originally held the debt and negotiate with them. (You don't need a lawyer)
* Once you have the debt settled with the original company, contact the credit bureaus and advise them of the closed debt.
* Once it is removed from your credit report, the FRS trolls should go away or be reported.  
* You will be a happy camper

this is a seedy bill collection agency. trying to collect on a debt that i co-signed for 25 yrs ago for a person who is deceased now and was paying on it and stopped...now it's all only interest charges...annoying. don't answer the phone. they threaten you to garnish  your wages and tell you to ask a friend for the money.

This place keeps calling and insisting we owe a debt.  It is not our debt - we never had a credit card with this company.  Have requested copies of account info with the person who applied and used account, but they are unable to provide that info.  Just keep insisting we have to pay this bill or else.  And relentless phone calls.  We no longer answer phone calls from numbers we don't know and they won't leave messages.

Seedy collection outfit called FRS - Financial Recovery Service.  They call under MULTIPLE 800, 877,866 exchanges as well as under state acea codes 757, 952 exchanges from Minnesota.
