Calls have repeated been placed to my phone number from 763-537-7722, and the caller would immediately hand up when the line is picked up. On returned call to the caller's phone number (763-537-7722), a network messages says "the phone number dialed is not a working number". What is going on? What's with this caller's phone number and why does the caller calls others and hang up?

Is this a scam...can someone who can, look into this matter?

I have been called repeatedly on my version cell phone and my work phone. I talk to there "sales people" they told me their name was "warranty international" but could get any more information out of them before they hung up. Not sure if its a scam or a just a shady business. My guess is that they are baby steps from a class action.

They've been calling for weeks. I don't get to my cell phone that fast, so it usually goes to voice mail and I delete.

But now... Called me yesterday. I pressed 1 to talk to someone. I asked politely if they would stop called and the woman cut me off yelling at me to "shut up." Repeatedly. No kidding. Then she yelled at me to stop calling her. What?!?!

So, I calmly kept repeating, "Hello?" until she hung up. But, it didn't actually hang up on me. It put me back into their system. It rang another sales person's phone who picked up and didn't say anything (I could hear ringing phones in the background and typing).

Then, again, I was put into their system. A third person picked up and asked me for the make and model of my car. I asked her what company this was and she said she isn't allowed to. She said, "I am only to get the make and model of your car and sign you up for the warranty. That's it. That's the job I was hired to do." I told her that I just wanted the name of the company I was about to do business with (playing along- I am not an idiot). She put me on hold. Finally disconnected for good.

Next time I will play along a little better to see where it goes. If they're going to screw with me...I'll screw with them right back.

Caller did not leave a message. Call came in on my cell phone @ 2:07pm. Attempted to call back but a message said it was a non-working number AT&T is my wireless provider.

Just got a hang up from this number, I used to live in this area code so I answered.

Just received a call.  I didn't answer and no message was left.

Like Ally (above), I have been getting these warranty calls from random numbers for the last few months.  The "calling" number is never a real number, or at least, the number doesn't ring back to the person that called.

Just received a call.  The caller got beligerant once I asked for their legal department.  He stated the company was Warranty International.

Just received a call from this number as well. Didn't answer, because this is the 3rd or 4th time I've received a call from this number.

I got a call on my company issued cell phone from this number several days ago telling me my car warranty was all set to expire. Only the people I work with and my wife & kids have the number. Secondly, when I bought my car I also purchased an extended warranty. I never bothered to call back.

Verizon - called at 11ish. I wish there were a way to find out how telemarketers are getting my number.

this number called my cell phone today, when i called it back it said it wasnt a working number, i did a reverse phone look up and it told me his name and where he lived. why would it say it wasnt a working number if this person called me seconds earlier.

Received a call from this number at 10:08 a.m. 8/5/08 - on my cell phone - no message.

Just received a call at 12:56 PM. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

I received the same call as well.  This number is associated with an extended warranty company for automobiles.  I have told them repeated times to stop calling but they still call anyway (I have talked to somebody live at this place but they still call).

Just called me at 10:40am Eastern time.

I picked up and a recording told me that this was the second call they've given me re: the warranty on my vehicle running out.  Then gave me the option to press 1 to speak with someone or 2 to be put on the "do not follow up" list.  I was jotting down the phone number and was about to press 2 when the call ended.

I called the number back and got the same "not a working number" message.

Google says the number belongs to Donald Cook at 9137 36th Ave North in New Hope, MN 55427.

I have also been getting random calls from unknow numbers all in regards to a automobile warranty. My car currently holds a 10 year warranty on it and i just got a new cell phone I dont know how they got the number but i wish they would stop.

Just got the same call. I get the calls on both of my AT&T based cell phones, so I think they got the whole DB of numbers, who knows. I would like to see others that post here note what cell provider they have.

what is the deal with this number? have any of you guys given your telephone number out to an internet site or something? i wonder if the sender got our numbers from the same source?

I got this call today. Pressed 1 and a woman asked for the make and model of my car. I asked the woman not to call anymore. She cut me off yelling at me to shut up. So, I calmly stayed on the line repeating, "Hello?" It went back into autodial and a second person picked up not saying anything. Went back into autodial another time. So, a third person picked up asking for the make and model of my car. I asked her from what company she was calling and this woman told me she couldn't tell me that. I asked, "Really? I'd like to know the name of the company I am about to do business with." She said she is only allowed to get the make and model of my car and sign me up for the warranty and to "Hold on." Her 'hold' was a disconnect. Tried to call the number back- computer says not in service.

Yeah i got this same call from this number today around 2 pm est. and have gotten a few before about this vehicle warranty thing, i don't think my warranty is about to expire my car is a 2007.
