Calling for my son on my cell phone #.  They call me at least 1 a week, when I ask who it is or what is the nature of the call, they reply important business matter and wont say where they are calling from. (figured it out from here) I say my son is not available can I take a message and she says I left a message with you last week.  I said well if you do not like it then stop calling me

Caller Hung up when i answered...  i repeated hello three times then heard "Click"    ....classy.

Jennifer is a wretched ugly human being. Her "Supervisor" John is equally as terrible and sounds like a miserable load. These people are losers. Don't let them intimidate you. Know your rights and do everything in writing and registered mail with these people. They should be ashamed of themselves and how they do work. There are much more compassionate and effective people out there.

They called my cell did not leave a message.  So I went to this site and found out who they were.  I called back and Jennifer answered saying "this is Jennifer" when I say I had a missed call on my phone, she asked if I was Alex.  I said "no who is calling", she transferred me to Becky, again I asked what company they are with or who is calling and she said just have him call me.  Collection agency or not very unprofessional.  Report them to your Attorney General for harassment

Do not give out your social security number over the phone.  Secondly, by law they have to send you a copy of  what they are trying to collect....no exceptions.  Ask them for their address, send a do not call letter.  Keep it on your caller ID if they do call, you can sue them for harassment and a $15,000 fine.  If they do try and collect in court, counter sue them and ask for a jury trial of your peers.  Worth it, I am playing the waiting game, if they call I have it documented.  Also - not the statute of limitations for your state, it is pond scum collection agency - if they call a relative it IS against the law for them to give out any information about you.

I didn't answer the phone because I was teaching a class, so I called back when I finished. It was a Debt collector assigned from US Bank.  I told her that I could make a payment when I get paid from the teaching job I just started, but she got angry at me telling me she needed it TODAY! She told me that her company is "very serious" about recovering their money and would use "any means necessary" to recover the money. When I asked what that meant, she hung up on me.

These people are nothing but crap bottom feeders Any company that threatens you is illegal and should be reported to whom ever will listen

I already filed a complaint with the FTC. I suggest you all do it too, or these people will continue their abuse.

I just spoke with her this afternoon.  River Collection and Recovery had been given an old address of mine and all documents had been sent there.  When I asked them to resend the documents so I would not be ignorant of the charges being held against me, she said that they could not resend them. Then I asked them for an invoice or some type of physical piece of paper that I can have a copy of to keep in my records and she shot me down.  I'm in this mess because I can't find any proof that the original payments took place or who to contact about them because all transactions took place over the phone, and now she won't give me proof that I can show when someone comes banging on my door looking for their 200 dollars..

Got a call from these people today and was told they were trying to collect a debt for something I didn't know anything about. The rep was very rude and demanded my address. I refused to give it to him and told him to get stuffed. I'm reporting him.

I think it is a collection agency or something.  This company, Jennifer,  just called me asking for my son.  I said I could take a message.  They said it was a business matter and could not discuss.  I asked if it was my son's previous landlord and her answer was "why do you say that".  I said so I can pass on the message and she said just have him call me back.  I called the number right back and got Julie (not Jennifer) when she answered, no company name just Julie.

Hung up on them.  I did not wait to find out what the message was.  They have called severl times.

rudest woman i have ever spoke to in my life!!!! she was horrible and when i asked to speak to the manager she said hes not here, i said transfer me to their voicemail then she then repeatedley interupted me and was rude! i told her my attornys name and she started laughing! reported to the bbb. these people should be shut down!!!!!!

Wow, so it looks like I'm not the only one!!  I've been noticing this # on my caller ID for the last couple of months.  The few times I've been home and able to answer I've been hung up on each and every time. Finally out of irritation at the number of calls and always being hung up on, I called the # back.  A woman by the name of Kim answered and asked my name. After telling her she proceded to be extremely and unnessasarily rude and hateful.  She stated I owed a bill to a place that I'd never even heard of. I told her that I would NOT be giving my credit card # over the phone to pay a debt that I was never aware of and that I would contact the place of business she had named and find out what was going on with them.  I come home for my lunch break today, and my boyfriend tells me they have called 3 times so far today and hung up on him each time.  So I call and again speak with Kim.  I tell her I don't appreciate her calling and hanging up constantly and that I had spoken w/ her last week about the exact same thing. She then begins to threaten me and says that "If I paid my bills she wouldn't have to keep calling."  Again this is a "bill" I have never known about until now!! I tell her that I will not tolerate her threats and harrassment and ask for her supervisor, at which time she hangs up on me. I call back and am greeted by a different female, I explain to her I am trying to reach Kims supervisor and she puts me on hold for at least 15 mins.  After this a man named John comes on the line. I begin explaining to him what has been going on, but before I can get the first sentence out of my mouth he makes it quite obvious to me that he must have been the one to train the aforementioned Kim!! John then tells me that they will continue to harrass me and call me every day until I pay the bill and that I brought the harrassment on myself by trying to dodge my debt!!! WTF is wrong with these people?!?  How can they legally get away with this?!?   What a nightmare these people are!!  I will now be making a report to the BBB and the FTC about this company. I strongly urge everyone else that comes here to do the same.  With enough complaints hopefully we can put a stop to this harrassment!  To quote Margaret Mead:  "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

I got 3 calls in 5 min. All hung up after 2 rings. I don't have voice mail set up because i dont know how to on my cell but if they are rude to me ill give them a piece of my mind.

I got a call from this number, when I got to the phone it had stopped ringing. I called back, and they said they were looking for my son. Told me - TOLD me - to have my son call them, and when I asked who it was they refused to answer. I said no, not without any information. She hung on me.

This collection agency keeps calling me concerning my niece's bills.  I told them that I have nothing to do with my niece's credit and not to call me.  They said that's it's important for me to get ahold of her and have her call them and that she had given them my number.  I told them I didn't care and not to call and harass me again.  It continues.

I just received a call too threatening and harrassing me saying I owe over 9,000 dollar for something I never had and I wasn't even the same Jennifer I want to know who they are

This person kept calling my husband on his cell phone while he was at work and said that he owes money for a medical bill, but could not identify the medical agency, only gave him a date of service.  Well he's had 3 surgeries in the past 3 years, so he had no idea what the bill could be for.  We have good medical insurance and we seldom have to pay more than a co-pay which is usually taken care of at the time of service.  My husband asked several times for them to send something in the mail with more specific documentation and if we owe money we would gladly pay it.  We received nothing and they continued to call.  He asked me to call and see if I could find out what it was for.  I called the number and explained why I was calling and they refused to discuss it with me.  I told them my husband would not be calling back and if they wanted money from us they could send a letter in the mail with documentation.  After I hung up, I blocked the number from calling my husband's cell phone.  Since I found the email address in this blog, I may send an email with a request for more information.....but I'm not so stupid as to send someone money when they can't even explain to me what the money is for. ....DUH.

I just talked with one of those bi****s and all they did was yell at me and i offered a payment plan because i cant do the whole thing at one time and they kept telling me  i had to pay all of it or they were going to continue to harass me and take me to court and i told them they are bull Sh*t and to F off!
