This number, as of 1/5/2012, was being used by a company identifying itself as State Farm Bank collections. After I made a mistake and missed a payment, I received a letter stating (fraudulently, incorrectly) that SF Bank had attempted to contact me by phone. I made a payment the day I received this collections letter. The following day I received a robocall from this number, saying "Please hold on the line for an important call from State Farm Bank. This is not a solicitation." This was repeated several times. Then, a person simply said "Hello?" without any introduction, identification, etc. I was surprised and said "Is this State Farm Bank?" and was promptly disconnected or hung-up on. This morning I received another identical call from the same number. The person who "answered" said "Hello?" as well, just as yesterday. No identification, etc. I had to ask if they were State Farm. I had to verify all of my information, and then was told they were confirming I had made my payment. The person was borderline rude and certainly unhelpful. This was my first experience missing a payment, and since the account is closed, I guess that is why it went to collections immediately.
