I got a call today 3 times from this unknown number.. I didn't answer.. I just blocked the caller

We have received many calls lately, seeking verification of soc. Sec. #.  I suggested today that if they were indeed Sallie Mae (they wanted hubby, so wouldn't talk to me),  they should NOT call my husband back.  ANY info they need is already in their records, and we will NEVER give that out over the phone.  Which was what he told them YESTERDAY.

Never had such a terrible experience with a robo-caller.  A few months back I was informed that my account was behind because they had separated payments out between private and gov. loans so I made a payment to new address given.  At next call I figured perhaps I was sending payment past due date so sent an extra payment to both accounts.  Again the calls started this month. I have now blocked five numbers surrounding this number in hopes that the extensions they use will all be blocked.  Never in my many years have I been so harassed!

The call if you're 2 days late. That's not significant!!!

Not true. They begin calling when you are one month behind. Constantly. home phone, cell phone, 10 times a day. crazy

How they got my number, I'd like to know. I don't even have an account with Sallie Mae! If that's who they really are.

Don't EVER EVER EVER speak to anyone but Sallie Mae!!!!! Anyone else is either a fraud, spam or their SCUMMMY COLLECTION AGENCY!! Make all your arrangements through Sallie Mae only. SLEAZY COLLECTION agent had me believeing they were going to take my retired/sick/dying dad's money. I wasn't even late. Only talk to SALLIE MAE.

Sallie Mae will not actually call until an account is significantly in arrears. They will send mail or emails as an initial intervention. Protect yourself - I hate the idea of good people having their identities stolen or having advantage taken of them.

They can't get it figured out because this is a fraudulent entity. Please do not give them ANY personal information  as this is a total scam

We are CONSTANTLY getting calls from these people.  Our daughter has her payments being made automatically, but the idiots at Sallie Mae keep "misapplying" her payments, so we keep getting phone calls that we owe $XX.XX even though she made all her payments.  They can't seem to get it straightened out and it's extremely annoying.

Got this number on my cell phone.  I don't know anybody in Indiana, have never done business with anybody in Indiana (online or otherwise).

I sent a "F... Off" text message to:765-283-3227. The message was successfully delivered to a landline.

SPAM CALL!  Did not answer but left a message.  A robotic voice said to call some phone number saying they were from Sallie Mae.  The next morning I called Sallie Mae (from their number on the internet, NOT the one the robot said) and they said there was no reason they would be calling as my account is up to date.  BEWARE.

Same here and "ditto"  they are scum.  I have Sallie Mae set up on automatic monthly payments that they provided as part of the Income Based payment for health professionals.  Not only do they call my cell throughout the day morning, noon and night.  As soon as they call my cell and I do not answer they immediately start calling my home number several times in a row.  They never leave a message 99% of the time and if they do the person usually only says this is "Blank" not ever leaving a name and I am calling from "blank" never leaving a name.  Several times I have answered and there is not a live person.  They just say "we are currenlty experiencing technical difficulties...please call back at another time.  HELLO!!!! you called me idiots!!!  The calls always start the day after the automatic payment is deducted for some odd reason and I have spoken to a representative there at least 7 times regarding this and each time I am assured he will stop the harassing calls and each month it is the same.

I finally stopped the calls on my cell by downloading the app Privacy Star.  Costs maybe $2.99 and works perfectally.  You can even stop text messages from those annoying telemarketers!!!

Calls several times a day, my parents and my cell phone

Sallie Mae is criminal. Every time you talk to these parasites their story is different about your loan status. My dad cosigned to get me into school since my credit rating wasn't "good enough." When I spoke to them last they say he didn't. My dad even took over payments for a while since I am struggling and they always tell me that they are behind. My dad has printed out extensive documentation stating QUITE the contrary. I swear I hope gunmen storm them at some point...they actually deserve it!

I received a phone call from this number on my home and cell phone numbers. He said he was from Sallie Mae (where both of my kids have student loans). He called me and asked me to verify my Social Security number- which I would not.

they call me more than 10 times per day, on weekends, at night, early in the am...they need to stop
