These idiots keep calling, and they disguise their # with an illegal number that cannot be blocked by my Xfinity app ( has a 1+ in front of it, but when I removed that, it still came up as an "illegal number". WHY can't the FCC do anything about these a**holes???

I too have been telling them I don't have a computer and so far they havent tried arguing that I do! Can't wait to see if they try that one on me down the road. I'll tell them to hold on and I'll go look for it and lay the phone down and go about my business. Might keep them on hold long enough to keep from making some other calls.

Received calls and calls and calls and calls...  Always wanting me to turn on my computer so I can download something to fix a microsoft windows problem.  I keep asking how they got my phone number?  We never put our phone number on the windows registration.  They never have a good answer for that  - they just start rattling broken english in an indian accent.  It usually ends up with me yelling and telling them where they can go and I know it is a scam.

I can't believe people would fall for this.  If windows needed to contact you they would do it through email.

They called three times on Tuesday with the same story.  I said I knew it was a scam and they should be ashamed and I was going to report them.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and it was sidestepped.

I, too, had been receiving phone calls from numbers I did not know.  I read on an Internet site that you can block these numbers by hitting *60 and following the prompts.  However, a voice recording told me that service was not available.  I got in touch with my land line phone provider and my phone provider enabled that service.  I have entered 5 numbers to be blocked.  Call your phone provider to find out if this "blocked number" feature is available to you.

Prank Call
Today I received a call from this number.  A male, with a heavy accent, said he was calling in regard to my Microsoft.  I told him I knew this was a scam call and hung up.  Then, I blocked the number and I will not receive any more calls from this number.

second time now.  The day Microsoft actually starts calling people individually--as if they would ever admit to having a virus!  Started answering with "Bonjour!" and they leave me alone :P

Called my business phone ... I wasn't at the shop so answering machine picked up. Noise (chatter) in the background, then accented voice said, "Hello? Hello?" and hung up without leaving a message. Obviously didn't pay attention that answering machine picked up. CID shows Roseau DM.

I just got a call from the number, from "Dominica".  The caller with a very heavy accent said he was calling from Microsoft, that I had an infection in my computer, and he was going to fix it for me.  I hesitated and asked where he was calling from, and what was his phone number.  He said he was calling from Tennessee and gave me another number, 901-290-7209.  But when I googled the number the call came in on, this site and info came up.  Thanks for posting it.

These people called me 7 times in about 5 hours. When we told them we don't have a windows computer (we do but they don't know that), They asked my husband if he was Mr. Flemming (so not our last name), they don't even have up to date info. They called 4 times after that. I blocked the number from calling me. Hopefully No More Calls!!!!!!!!!!!!

Said from Microsoft and I told him until he could speak clearly to call people in his own country.
I am not a computer novice that would fall for this scam. It's too bad there are beginners out there that will.

Wow, I had the guy laughing so hard he could barely scam me. I was wait, wait, maybe I should look in the event viewer to see all those "error message" and then open a port so they could come in and fix all my problems. Then I got the 'Supervisor' and I asked him what their website was so I could get a better idea what they were saying. I got as far as "Do you have an online chat?" before he hung up on me. Hey, where's all my free support!

BTW, I do computer support for a living. They didn't even seem to know what a Desktop Theme was.

767-275-9065  Someone from this number continues to call me. The first time I ALMOST fell for the LIES and DECEPTION. The first time they called I asked them TWICE during the Call if they were trying to sell me something....
"Oh no ma'am"....Later they said "See, you NEED TO BUY either our $149.00 plan for one year or $250.00 for two years."
I pray for all those who DO buy into this scam, those who pay the $$$ they say is needed to "clean up your computer which could shut down at any moment." May GOD deal with them with mercy and justice, and may they turn from their wicked, lying ways, Amen!

I got a similar call at work.  I didn't answer this call here.  But it is certainly a huge scam that has been on the news.
The one I took at work said something similar.  A heavily accented woman said something to the effect - that she was with microsoft - we are concerned as we have noticed that someone has accessed your computer, I need you to help me and follow my instruction to locate the area in your computer, so that we can block them from having access to your computer.  Knowing this was a downright fraudulent call I said "Oh, oh, hold on, the computer repair man you sent just left, let me go catch him really quick" - she started blurting something as I hung up.
